  • "Had the crusted salmon and the shrimp fresca with a salad and the sea bass nugget appetizer. Everything was top-notch. This is our second visit and we are looking forward to returning."

  • "The service was amazing but the food was terrible and the bartender didn't know how to make a Gin Ricky."

  • "Willie Gs is now part of the Landry Group. We found that the menu selections have deteriorated. We used to love this restaurant for truly good fish dining. We will not go back, since the food while tasty but not outstanding. The selection was very limited . The restaurant is now just another in the Landry diminished quality restaurants."

  • "We recently dinned here with a large group of 10 people and the restaurant was very accommodating and want so loud that we could still alk h have a conversation. Great food at an affordable price!"

  • "Love this place. Great drinks, great food, great service! Easy to get to and close to the theater district. Nice ambience and feelings. I'll be back!"

  • "Fun first visit. Food and service above average. The wine list was excellent but a little on the " just released" side. I would certainly return when in Denver. I had fish and it was served at HOT temperature as it should be. The crab cakes were fantastic. Very enjoyable dinner with family."

  • "It was a nice place and food was good. Just not happy about my seating which was nxt to the door with constant cold air coming in from people coming in and out. Other than that it was great."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Went on a Saturday night - early seating (6:30), so the place wasn't crazy busy. Nothing about the experience was all that good. Oyster appetizer was fine, but they only had 1 kind. Had to pick onions out of chopped salad, as the menu made no mention of it including onions, so we didn't think to ask to exclude them. Got a 'special' braised beef and lobster surf and turf. Both were overcooked, and the beef didn't have enough au jus. Our server was friendly, but not attentive. We had to ask several times for water refills. We told him upfront that we were in a hurry, as we had a show to catch. He fired our salad and entree separately, which cost us 10 minutes, and went missing when it was time to bring the check."

  • "We always have good luck with Landry's restaurants. Willie G's didn't fail to impress. Always professional service and great food. This is a great downtown choice for before theater dinner (just a short walk to the DPAC)."

  • "Porterhouse was so good; forget the dog, I wanted to naw on the bone! The oyster trash, tasty but over priced. Our server had a large group seated in his area right after he took our appetizer order & we didn't see him again until after we were half way finished with it. Had to flag him down to take our steak order. However, once things settled down, he was very attentive."

  • "My girlfriend, friends and I love seafood. We have never been to Willie G's but we were looking for a new seafood restaurant to try. The ambiance and decorating exude a romantic, high class restaurant. The seafood dishes were delicious, i.e. the fish and chips, clam chowder and salmon. Will definitely keep in mind for our next seafood outing. Only critique was the service -- the person helping us was slow and forgot a couple requests. Overall, good experience."

  • "Service was slow, Had to send a steak back (over cooked), The Manager was awesome!"

  • "Went out with friends chose Willie G's because of the location and the food was good, the bar was very accommodating the service was great, nice relaxing atmosphere to enjoy with friends, didn't feel rushed throughout the night."

  • "We went here for my mother-in-law's birthday. The food was fantastic, the service was top notch and even managed to please my very demanding in-laws. The dishes we had were delicious and everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing, I don't think you could go wrong with anything that you order."

  • "The food was good, little too much fat on prime rib, companion's trout was excellent, establishment took care of the problem and compensated nicely, great service"
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "As a land-locked place, Denver isn't always great for seafood. We tried the tuna tartare and shrimp platter, both of which were enjoyable, but obviously not the best we've ever had. We also had a beef option which was very tasty. Overall this was an enjoyable restaurant, definitely great for a group of friends for dinner and drinks."

  • "Poor service, she didn't know we were there even though she was at the next table. Would not substitute a salad for potato. But I could buy a salad. She could give me green beans even though a veggie came with the steak which was unseasoned. I do not like green beans. So what comes on my plate? Green beans. Any server that was paying attention would have changed the veggie. Then she says they are out of oysters and they are going to sub something else on my husbands plate. She then comes back to say they do have oysters and she is going to add a few more to the plate. A whole 4 fried oysters came out. Not impressive for the price. The wine was good though. I guess you can't screw that up."

  • "Jesse our waiter made our experience simply perfect. His professionalism and yet fun, joking attitude allowed the group to really enjoy itself."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "The food was delicious, but the service was extremely slow. They no longer have the French coffee press. That really upset us. That was one of our favorites."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "This was my least favorite of several Landry's options we have sampled in the Denver Metro area. The service was very good -knowledgeable, professional and personable. The restaurant ambiance lacks any real character - boring! Tuna Tartar appetizer was well prepared/presented. Chopped salad was good. Chicken/Sausage Gumbo could have used more rice but was very tasty with nice spice level. The Prime Rib was bland - lacking in seasoning, but the Crispy Salmon was delicious. The dessert menu was very promising, but the most enticing option - a chocolate pumpkin spice cake - is no longer an option and has been replaced by a very predictable chocolate decadence cake that was almost too chocolaty. Update the menu to avoid disappointment!"

  • "I went for restaurant week, and the food was great! The salmon was delicious. I would love to go again."

  • "Our sirloin was cooked to perfection. It was a pleasure to have brussels sprouts instead of broccoli, and the sweet potato fries. The service was very good and I'd say "Yes, I would go back in a heartbeat.""

  • "I went there with my husband on Sunday evening. When we got there, it wasn't busy, quiet and nice. Later, it got busier, still great service. I'm so glad I had this experience. I recommend this nice restaurant for romantic date or bussiness dinner meeting. Just one thing, food service was little bit slow. It wasn't too bad because we could talk more while we were waiting."

  • "We were at Willie G's during restaurant week and I decided to try one of the 5280 options. I selected the short ribs and I have never had such poorly prepared piece of meat. Instead of small pieces of meat that were tender and falling apart, I was presented with a piece of meat that looked like a log. It was brown/grey in color and had to be cut with a knife to eat. After a few bites I realized the only flavor to the meat was a greasiness. It was terrible. The dessert - a play on red velvet cake was hard and dry. Also terrible. I would expect that for a restaurant week the restaurant would put forth effort to make the food edible."

  • "A friend and I celebrated our upcoming retirement from the government and had a wonderful time."
    Dined on 2/27/2014
  • "The food was excellent, the ambiance was contagious, but the service was horrible. We watched our water talk to a table all night and only ask us once for a drink order, we finally received help from another member of the wait staff!"

  • "Fine steak and seafood restaurant...not! Felt more like a dinner at Chili's. Unprofessional server, food was inconsistent, few things good, other things not and the plating and presentation was horrible. They did have a good wine list. All the problems of this establishment in my opinion lead to poor Management and lack of training and attention to detail. Will not go back and not reccomend."

  • "We enjoyed our $30 specials. We will explore the regular menu on our next visit."

  • "Willie G's is a fantastic restaurant that I would recommend to everyone. Excellent food and a great location."
    Dined on 2/24/2014
  • "The food was less than impressive. I ordered the shrimp fetaccini and it did not have much much flavor. It was very creamy which was great. There were pleanty of good sized shrimp which were delicious but the pasta it's self wasn't great. Two other people at the table ordered the burgers which were perfectly cooked. The buns however were way bigger than the patty so, there was bun left over. Drinks were very resonablly priced. Service was excellent! The steak looked and smelled amazing, should probablly order that next time."

  • "Have been coming to Willie G's for years for special celebrations and occassions. My most recent visit included two close friends with me and it was their first time at the restaurant. They also will return again."

  • "My wife and I heard that Willie G's has a good food, service and you lived up to half of that comment. Both of us believed if you are to participate in Restaurant week, you should present a menu of all of the quailties food in your restaurant. You did not do this, the menu used only displayed three entries and pie for desert, $5280. We was disappointed in the selections because, the issue is to go all out for this period in the hopes of attracting repeat clients who will experience the fine dining of you restaurant. The food and service was very enjoyable. It was a little noise, however we will return to Willie G's with a different mind set. It is a causal setting for groups of friends and early family dining. Thanks for listening......"

  • "The food was good but the service was excellent! The best service I've had in a long time."
    Dined on 2/1/2014
  • "We like Willie G's and go there several times a year. However, their offerings for Restaurant Week were rather pedestrian. Short ribs were okay, grits were dry, dessert was disappointing. I'm beginning to find Restaurant Week is often less than what I'd like to see at many restaurants (although some are wonderful!) But, hey, the price is right!"

  • "Did not list burbon on drink menu, felt a bit rushed. We had reservations for 7 and several people that cme in after us were seated before us(same amount of people)."

  • "This restaurant goes above and beyond to assure the customer is comfortable and satisfied. The staff is attentive and persistent in service. This restaurant did everything expected and more. The food cooked exactly as ordered, full of flavor, and "drool in the corner of your mouth" worthy. It is now a new favorite. I thank them again for the great restaurant experience."
