Diner Reviews
  • "We were a party of 4 with an early dinner reservation on a Friday in the summer. The food was excellent--everyone thoroughly enjoyed what they ordered. The service was pleasant and attentive. It was a little pricier than we anticipated and, perhaps, a little pricier than it warranted."

  • "As per usual, I ordered the scallops and forbidden rice. My scallops were overly salty on this visit, but the appetizers and sides were great."

  • "We are very picky foodies and finding this place was an absolute godsend. The food was outstanding, atmosphere pleasant, and service good. The chocolate dish with sin in the name was unbelievable! Our anniversary celebration was delightful at them Wildflower."

  • "We dined recently for lunch, and our meal couldn't have been better. The staff is (and has always been) extremely professional. We were seated right away at a very lovely table overlooking the Catalinas. It was outside but the misters kept us comfortable despite the hot and humid weather. (It seems hard to get adequately working misters these days!). I started with a refreshing Lumberyard hefeweizen. The best to come was the food. My ahi salad was seriously one of the best I've ever had. The seared-rare ahi had a smokey flavor (from the mesquite grill), was sliced very thin (as it should be but "rarely" is) and was served over extremely fresh greens that were topped with a delicious soy vinaigrette dressing."

  • "We had dinner on a Saturday after a heavy rain. The rin created problems with the outside seating and in turn that created problems inside. We had a wait for glasses of wine, as a result the manager gave us a complementary appetizer. Once we were served the mael was outstanding. Over the many times that we have eaten here we have always had a good meal. This is a great place to have dinner."

  • "Great food, great service, good fun, will go back again and try the red meat and more deserts..."

  • "Our friend just moved here and we thought Wildflower would be a good choice. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The noise level was awful…we couldn't have a conversation. The staff service was disappointing. We were asking other servers for assistance. The price of the food was not worth it. Definitely will not give a recommendation or will return."

  • "We love to try new places and repeat a few favorites. This is a new favorite! We started with a cheese board, modified to our request. Came with grill bread and other add-ons. Delicious. Went to a vegetable salad next. Fresh. Healthy. Shared paella for the entree. Best we've had. No mushy rice! Finished with pineapple upside down cake served with coconut ice cream. Good choice. Our server was great and adjusted the items to our taste. Kitchen was fast and split all our items for us!"

  • "This restaurant seems full of people all the time. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Menu choices are memorable. This has become my favorite Tucson area restaurant. Prices seem reasonable for the exceptional quality of the experience. Enjoy!"

  • "Enjoyed our casual meal--cheeseburger was special (very rich!), my favorite is the Pappardelle with chicken, pine nuts and tomatoes. The pasta tastes homemade and is exquisite! Best item on the menu is the cinnamon yeast doughnuts with side of jam and custard--even doughnut holes! Coffee is terrific."

  • "Eating at a FOX restaurant is always a treat! Food is well-prepared with unusual twists, service is attentive but not overbearing, and atmosphere is pleasant. I just had a shaved roast beef sandwich, but it was very tasty. Best of all, no dishes!"

  • "I was taken to Wildflower by my sister, for my birthday. I had never been there before, but she had and thought I would enjoy it. She was absolutely right!! The ambience was bright and airy, with a touch of elegance. The staff was outstanding and very friendly, especially our waiter. He was very knowledgable and attentive, and made excellent recommendations! I had the 'Farmers' Market' salad, which was one of the best salads I've ever had, period! The spinach pasta with roasted chicken was awesome and had the most amazing flavor! The apple tart, for dessert, was delicious, and had just the right amount of sweetness. An incredible meal and overall experience! Do yourself a BIG favor, and go to Wildflower! You'll love it!!!"

  • "We made a reservation for 5 and 6 showed up, each arriving a little later than the last. We talked; we ate; we toasted; we celebrated; we cried a little; we had dessert; and talked and laughed until closing. The staff was understanding and professional and served us water until the end never indicating that it was getting close to closing. Everyone loved their food and they even served gluten-free. We all agreed that this was one of our best get togethers and will be coming back."

  • "My guest & I both were very satisfied with our entrees. I love dining on the patio, even in Tucson summer heat, because it is kept a comfortable temperature. It is always my preference because it is much quieter than the dining room, making conversation easier."

  • "The ambience was awesome. The general manager and the servers were Friday and efficient. Th food was incredible, and the dessert out of this world. We definitely will be back again and again."

  • "We enjoyed our recent visit to Wildflower. The food and service were excellent, as always. We split the dessert special, a corn cake with blueberry compote -- fantastic!"

  • "I have been to Wildflower on numerous occasions. Every visit has been top notch. The only complaint (and it is only a small one) is the noise. However, The noise will retreat into the background and the conversation at your table will become paramount. This visit, as with all my other visits, was excellent. I recommend Wildflower to anyone looking for a great meal and location."

  • "food was great! service was excellent. worse thing about it was we ended up at a really lousy table, in the main pathway. had an 8 pm reservation and thats the best they could do. must admit, the place was packed but, if I got stuck at that table again, i would leave."

  • "As a culinary enthusiast and Avid consumer of food this was immediately one of the best restaurants I have ever been too. Food cooked to perfection, wonderful display of kitchen staff, gorgeous and cordial waitress that even tended specially to me and my guests as it was my Birthday. Would recommend 100 times over to anyone, everyone! Yum."

  • "Wildflower continues to provide excellent food, great service and fun, energetic ambience. One of our favorite Tucson restaurants. Very consistent and doesn't disappoint."

  • "Wildflower has been a favorite of our for quite some time and they didn't disappoint once again. The spinach salad and grilled artichoke hearts were wonderful. The pork was very good, could have used a little more sauce and cooked slightly less but the flavors very fantastic. Service was good as well. Try the Blood Orange Margarita."

  • "We had out of town guests that only had time to visit one "choice" restaurant while here... We took them to Wildflower and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent - everyone had different choices and all were prepared perfectly. The prices are very affordable - all in all a wonderful evening out with friends."

  • "Had dined at WF at least 50 times.Recent visit was extremely disappointing.Service was terrible.Waiter more interested in flirting with the hostesses than taking care of us.Took 10 min. before we received bread and water(the restaurant was not busy, waiter was socializing with the other waiters)Husband ran out of water before the entrée arrived, but it was never refilled. The waiter offered to refill it when he gave us the check.Ordered the special, mahi-mahi.It was so dried out,not sure what kind of fish it was.Food looked like it was thrown on the plate, with pieces of fish and some vegetables.I got lots of potatoes, my husband got one small piece. We will not be visiting your restaurant again for a while. For $80.00, this was unacceptable."

  • "This is my favorite restaurant in Tucson. The food is consistently fantastic! I have never had a bad bite here."
    Dined on 5/16/2014
  • "Our first two visits were wonderful, food- and service-wise. Yesterday's lunch was something else: the calamari was soggy instead of crispy, my salad was overdressed even though I asked for extra-light dressing, and 4 tiny slivers of ahi in a $16 salad, with nothing else but a few edamame and ordinary lettuce. Insult upon injury: I was charged double for my lunch and had to have the manager fix my bill. Too bad, because the restaurant is so pretty, and the food used to be so good. "

  • "The Patio on a 100 degree day was absolutely comfortable. We prefer to sit there in all types of weather to avoid the noisier dining room. The food, as usual, was very good. Love the herb/oil dip for the crusty bread."

  • "We dined on Memorial Day to take advantage of the Fox Restaurant Group 25% discount. Even though the service staff was extremely busy, service was good. Food was delightful. The menu has something for everyone, and we are happy to see that they are using local and season ingredients. "

  • "We celebrated our daughter's birthday here on Memorial Day. She does gluten-free and loves the many options, esp the grilled artichoke starter. Each of our salads and entrees was outstanding, as was each dessert. The special birthday msg on daughter's dessert plate was a lovely touch. Our service was a little odd and slower than usual, but in general, service was good enough. The woman at the next table was nice enough to tell us it was 25% off that day, a nice reminder to the email I had received. Then I recalled why I thought of booking at Wildflower that day!"

  • "We have been coming to Wildflower since it opened. We are a member of FRC dining & Open Table. We love getting the holiday coupons & use them often. We also bring friends & family for special occasions. Memorial Day started off terribly after being seated in our usual booth by the bar. The 4 of us sat there for over 10 min. before my husband went to the hostess & asked for our server. We had been given water promptly but that was the end of courtesy for quite a while. The waiter came over & we asked about specials. He said he didn't know them yet, he would go write them down & be right back. We finally had to stop another waiter.... it didn't get much better until the manager stepped in. Thankfully it did get better & waitress was wonderful"

  • "We have been here many times and this last visit was just as we had expected. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. I would recommend Wildflower to anyone looking for a nice night out. The only downside is that it is a rather loud place to dine, if you dine inside. Outside is much better. "

  • "Having lived in Tucson for 13 years, we always saw Wildflower as one of the few restaurants here with reliably outstanding food. Over the last year or two, we've noticed a decline. For example, my husband's paella came with mushy, almost cold rice and a smattering of seafood with none of the liveliness of a great version of this dish. I hope to see Wildflower rise again!"
