A little loud while we were waiting at the bar for our table, but when we sat down, I guess due to the layout, the noise level had dropped appreciably and we could easily talk with one another. The food was excellent. Appetizers were kind of large, so by the time we had our meal we passed on dessert. Both times the service was very good and the food was excellent. Sea Bass melted in your mouth, Salmon was great. The calamari appetizer was excellent. They have some sort of kids menu which was verbally given to us which was nice because we weren't expecting that but the macaroni and cheese was too strong for the kids so beware of that. That we could only score a 5:30 reservation suggested that this might be the place to go. It was. Sensational service and lots of unique preparations of seafood. We've ordered the Hong Kong seabass in the past and it continues to exceed expectations. It literally melts in your mouth. You will not be disappointed. We had a side of crab fried rice and truffle mac & cheese and it just pushed us over the edge with wonderful flavor. The first time coming we did not make a reservation (silly us), but sat in the bar area. It was absolutely amazing! The bar manager came over and at the end of our meal she sent out a dessert thanking us for being in the restaurant industry. This is something neither he or I have seen before. Upon our second visit we made a reservation and we're not let down the second time. Just as friendly service and knowledgeable staff. Very vibrant bar scene with many people having a drink after work. We went on a Wednesday at 7 pm...noise was noticeable at first, but died down, as bar patrons left. That being said, I really have found the food at Wildfish to be consistently excellent, and it's become my one of my favorites (along with Mozza) in the area. Our table was ready early; no issues with the reservation. We got there early and started off in bar for end of happy hour which was great. Dining room and bar area are adjacent so noise level is bit high but we had no issues conversing. Overall the group meals were grouper special; sea bass and scallops - all seafood was outstanding. It is just ambitious enough in terms of the food, which is successfully prepared and presented. Very nice waiter and wait staff. Very nice front desk. Good wine list. Dinner with very good clients was a pleasure. Relaxed and gracious; very close to SNA-area hotels. I liked this place a lot and know that I can feel comfortable bringing clients here.
