The table service was professional and thoughtful. The food was delivered surprising fast and served very hot. Both our entrees were delicious and with good "presentation". The price was reasonable for what was essentially a fine dining experience. We highly recommend the Wildfish Seafood Grille for an outstanding seafood diner (we did not sample the steak menu)."

  • "After about a week of research, we decided on Wildfish for our 6th Anniversary Dinner, and it did not disappoint. Food was perfect, and Preston took care of our every need. Our entire experience was fantastic. If I had to nitpick, I could only complain about the ambiance and decorations of the restaurant, it could have been better with some more aquariums, waterfalls, LED lighting, etc as the TV's made it feel a little like your regular sport's bar."

  • "Got to this restaurant 10 minutes early for our reservaton made through open table. They told us they are running on time and would come get us, to wait at bar area. They finally after 35 miinutes after our reservaton time called us. We sat down the waiter came by after 10 minutes and took our drink order. He didn't come back to take our dinner order for another 35 minutes, my husband was totally irritated by now and starving and checking his watch every minute on the minute. Thank goodness the food was great and our waiter made up for the delay with his professional service. So the moral is if you have the time, the food is definitely worth waiting for. Let's hope this was just an off night for this lovely gem of a restaurant."

  • "Selected on Open Table for a business dinner. Absolutely great from start to finish! I would recommend this to anyone in the Newport Beach/Santa Ana area. As always I'm a big fan of Open Table and have been using it since I first learned about it (before it became an iPhone app) because it is super convenient and rarely recommends a restaurant that isn't worthy. This was no exception. Oh, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake? YESS! Thanks for a great all around experience; can't wait to visit again."

  • "At a friend's recommendation, I took my family here to celebrate my wife's birthday. My wife loved it. Her sea bass was outstanding as well as her "birthday dessert" which was very chocolaty. My kids enjoyed their food a lot. I shared lobster tacos with my son, and had the swordfish which was excellent. My wife said she wants to come back here for happy hour as well as for our anniversary. She may want us to come here for my birthday, instead of our usual which is Morton's. Finally we got great service from Heather."

Great server! And a shout out to Cody who has been our server on numerous occasions. He is one of the best. The St. Georges Bank scallops are beyond delicious and the sole is delicious. The wine list is very extensive. The only criticism is that it was a bit noisy. We absolutely will be returning. We look forward to it. This is a place for that special occasion."

  • "Celebrated our 24th anniversary and had another excellent dining experience. Cory was our waiter and he did a super job...he was polite, fun, knowledgeable and efficient. The food is always really great, especially for a chain restaurant and has become a favorite of ours. The soft-shell crab starter is one of the best we've had and the scallops were fresh and succulent, with a citrus beurre blanc, macadamia nuts and segments of orange. The Seared Ahi tuna entree is always wonderful. as well. Absolutely delicious! Don't forget to order the crab fried rice as this is a fabulous side dish not to be missed. The bananas foster butter cake is to die for and came as an anniversary treat! All in all, another exceptional dinner and fun evening."

Guinevere the super-manager is always lovely, composed and helpful, CODY is the most awesome, warm, entertaining and helpful waiter, and even the receptionists are wnderful! We love Wildfish and come back again and again and LOVE bringing new people to this place where everything tastes fabulous and fresh. Thank you WF for making us feel special each time. Recommended: Crab Cakes chock full of crab, Lemon Sole, Oh, and whatever you do, don't forget to order the Pineapple upside down cake to finish not only for the taste but the entertainment value! Try it, yo'ull see what I mean."

  • "The food was incredible and the waiter was one of the best i have ever had. He was interactive and knew all the questions we asked regarding dishes. He made the dinner very fun. We went with the Red Fish and the Chilean Sea Bass. Both dishes were awesome. It was my birthday and they gave us a delicious molten cake with vanilla ice cream. The only problem I had was that all sides were an extra charge. Other than that, you will enjoy the food and atmosphere. We had a great time"

  • "The food was excellent, but at that price point it should be. The panna cotta dessert was transcendent. However, what made our experience really special was the service we received. Our waiter Edward was spectacular, and made us feel very welcome. We loved hearing him describe the menu items. It made us want every item he mentioned. I could listen to him talk about the food to us all evening. We'll definitely come back, and request to sit at his table when we do."

  • "I have always wanted to dine at Wildfish Seafood Grille and my wish came true when friends asked me to pick the restaurant for my birthday dinner. By the end of dinner, we were asking ourselves why we had never dined there before. Their version of the wedge was loved by my wedge-fan hubby ("a whole piece of bacon"). The ladies split the warm mushroom salad and LOVED it! The guys both had swordfish topped with crab and avocado (double dip for the seafood lover) and this entrée came up in conversation for days after dining. Copper River salmon and sole were delicious as well. The final touch was a fab ice cream sundae and red rose for the birthday girl! Definitely will be a repeat diner."

  • "So we had a 10:15 reservation for a friday night. And because of traffic we got there particularly late, but still before 11. We were seated in a booth and no one was in the place but people at the bar. And then the staff was particularly brusque about saying the kitchen is closing. We were just ordering oysters but when we asked about them, our server rushed through them and delivered them without much enthusiasm. I have to say, maybe it's just because everyone wanted to go home, but if they did, then say you're closed and DON'T serve us. But don't phone it in. I'd prefer not going than feeling like you didn't want my money."

  • "I invited my mum and sister to Wildfish, and the attentive service and phenomenal food exceeded our expectations, with every course better than the last! We shared a Caesar salad with crab and corn chowder as appetizers: delicious! My steak au poivre was the best I've ever had, my sister's sole was divine, and my mother's scallops were delightful. We ordered the scalloped potatoes and spinach, which perfectly combined with every entree. Finally, we shared the bananas Foster butter cake with ice cream for dessert: YUM! I highly recommend Wildfish to anyone craving a decadent meal on a special occasion. The only thing that would improve the experience would be to relocate to a seaside spot so that guests can enjoy a gorgeous Pacific view!"

  • "We were celebrating our anniversary so I wanted someplace new that was good. Since I mentioned our celebration when making the online reservation, the restaurant surprised us with a card and red rose on the table. Nice touch! The food was very good. We began with the crab cake appetizer which was filled with crab, not filler, and very flavorful. One of us ordered one of the specials of the evening - salmon, that was cooked perfectly. The other order was the Ahi tuna steak - very thick and came with a side salad of greens, asian pear, mango, & dressing. Also had side dish of beets with candied nuts-delicious. For dessert- Banana Foster Flambe and Key Lime Tart Flambe (had a meringue top). Both were scrumptious. Service was outstanding!"
