  • "We went there for a Summerlicious dinner ($45 per person). The server was really nice to us! The dishes, including the appetizer, were huge! I was half-full after I finished my butternut squash soup. For the main course, the mushroom risotto that I ordered (I am a vegetarian) was not so tasty. The rice was rather grainy and I would prefer the dish to be a bit more salty. The dessert (creme brulee) was great though!"

  • "We usually love dining here but this time our server made it not so great for us. He just didn't pay us any attention, in terms of checking on us, filling the water. He gave us 20 minutes before we could order. Our appetizer came out right away but the main took awhile. Not sure if the timing was due to us arriving at 5pm and maybe thats when the kitchen opened. We would definitely come to the restaurant again. But may seek another server that we had in the past. He seemed rude and snooty, maybe because we weren't ordering wine and were doing the summerlicious menu. But all other service people at the restaurant was great. The door was opened for us, People led us to our table. Warm and friend other staff. Just not our server."

  • "Haven't been to Wildfire for many years. It hasn't changed ( for the better). I travel globally and eat at many fine restaurants. I was dining with my 17 year old son this was what might be considered a special evening out. We were not asked where we might like to sit. It was early and the restaurant empty and were seated at a booth hidden in the back. Our server was a veteran waiter abrupt and unengaging. I think he was disappointed we were not ordering Penfold's Grange. My carnivore son said his steak was fatty. My chicken piri piri was very ordinary. My son has eaten steak at some of the best. He was shocked his steak was $56 and said I make a better steak and named 3 other restaurants we had eaten at with better steak."

  • "We chose this restaurant to the location, and the menu offerings viewed on line. Although I did check some online reviews, a few indicated very slow service. We found the same. Slow to get our drink orders, horribly slow - and disengaged with the customers - we had to call the waiter to take our order - and the bill. Not a busy night-It was Monday. Food was ok, but certainly not worth what we paid - and we were prepared to pay - we did order a $180 bottle of wine. Service was such a shame - they could have sold us at least 1 more bottle - but chose to put our caraffe on another table, well out of reach-did I mention the horribly slow service? Pay attention to your customers - your bottom line will improve. Good luck, we won't be back."

  • "My husband and I took my parents this past weekend for dinner using a Groupon voucher. The food is very good but unfortunately the service did not match. Our waiter Roman seemed annoyed by our voucher and dedicated more time and attention to the tables ordering off the main menu. Since we were using the voucher this allowed us to spend more money on drinks, if they had been offered. Having to wait 40 minutes for our bill while the table beside us saw our waiter every five minutes is unacceptable. My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant a lot but once again we have been reminded why we stopped."

  • "My hubby had steak and I had the back ribs. I did find the back ribs a bit too saucy, and will ask for less sauce in the future. But the meat was melting off the bone, very succulent and tasty. My hubby enjoyed his steak. It was cooked perfectly, medium rare, just as he asked. Juicy and delicious. The wine recommended by the hostess was good too."

  • "The event was a family gathering for fathers day although I have been here twice before. Each time I found the restaurant to be dependable, the food and service are both good but the service could improve. Ambiance was good, busy enough but not crowded. Parking is the usual with a Yonge street address, sometimes challenging. We had a range of ages from children to seniors, and everyone found something that appealed to them, so the menu range is broad. Earning praise was the ribs, the Piri Chicken, the Filet Mignon, the wild mushroom soup and crab cakes appetizer. On the downside, the Australian fish dish the Barramundi could have been better. It may be just a little pricey for its offering. Extensive wine list, but again a little pricey."

  • " This time was a special occasion, a birthday celebration and I had entered that information as well as asked online if there was special dessert for the birthday person. As we were escorted to our seats I told the hostess it was a birthday celebration and would the waiter know. She advised me that if I had indicated that on my reservation he would know. We were waiting, and waiting and eventually had to order our own desserts and did without a birthday dessert for the birthday girl. So much for that surprise dessert. Upon leaving I mentioned this to the hostess who apologized but beyond that didn't seem to know what to do. "

  • "Our 2nd visit, ws good or better then on previous visit... filet mignon came out done tomp3rfection medium. Too bad, such huge wine list, no french bordeaux by the glass. Desserts were beatifully done with great selection of icewines and ports. Will beback fir a third round soon."

However, the service was not as good as in the past. We didn't get served any water and the a few of the staff were not very friendly. The plates are nice and hot, good portions but a bit salty."

  • "The sauce the calamari came in was lumpy and not the type I would pair with grilled calamari-really not appetizing tasted as if it was from a can and olives thrown in. . Needed to be light and a bit of spice. Crab cakes were not good at all, they were deeped fried like a pancake and it tasted as if the oil hadn't been changed. Lobster paired with steak- okay but nothing to write home about. The Fish, (beginning with a B) was dry and tasteless. Not sure why the food really was so low grade based on the price of the meal. I would recommend bringing in someone new to the kitchen."

  • "Tried a fish dish for once. Should have stuck to my original choice. Can't blame the restuarant for this, as it wasn't a fish dish I would normally have. I guess the possible mango salsa was what I wanted. But it actually didn't come with it. I'll be a bit more careful next time. I do love this restuarant and will still go there again."

  • "1st time at this restaurant. We were in a hurry on a Sunday with two people out of four leaving the city that night and mentioned this to the waiter. He was attentive to the time constraints and the dishes flew out of the kitchen with all four of us pleasantly surprised both at the response and quality of the food served. We will go back and linger over a bottle of wine."

  • "The 1.5 hour limit is 'rigidly' adhered to with no allowances. In fact, I found it almost to the point of badgering myself and my dinner partner to 'hurry up'. The sad part is that as we were leaving there was no line up and there were a few empty tables. Unfortunately, this experience affected my whole perspective on this restaurant and I was barely able to enjoy my food."

  • "Wildfire is wonderful from the moment I entered - smiling hostess greetings, luxurious surroundings, even large coat racks to take many big winter coats. Tables are set quite far apart for quiet dining as well as separate dining areas. Chairs are sooo comfortable too. Food was delicious: lobster bisque to die for, my husband's calamari was best he has tasted. Bread tastes freshly baked, served with hummus (hard to stop eating it). Service is great too."

  • "The service really made the night special, because the food was just "fine". We went there to celebrate my fiancée's birthday, we were served the hors d'oeuvres (a mini bruschetta slice, a slice of cucumber with a drop of spicy mayo, and a shrimp in a tangy tomato paste) followed by a rather tasty grilled calamari, and a really burnt and salted piece of fish the called "Burumundi" which is to be avoided next time. The crème brûlée was the smoothest I've ever had but rather tiny portion. All in all, for the money, I'd go elsewhere."

  • "My wife purchased a Groupon for a four-course meal with wine, and although we couldn't use it on Valentine's Day, we went shortly afterwards. The ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner: dark, quiet, professional staff, wine showcased in attractive racks throughout the restaurant, lots of candles...very nice. The steak was brilliant (10 oz rare striploin done to perfection); the wine options through Groupon, although limited, were adequate and matched the meal well; and the service was excellent. Our waiter was professional, funny, congenial, and helped provide an inviting atmosphere from beginning to end. We would highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "I really wanted to make it a special surprise for my girlfriends birthday but the servers mood kind of ruined it for us...I sent you guys a facebook message on your page but got no response..really dont feel valued? It was our first time and at this rate might sound like our last time food was very good, service was mediocre..our server didnt look happy or even had energy to talk to us. I had a reso made for my girlfriends birthday and organized to have a dessert brought out with her name or candle...waited the whole night nothing ever came..still tipped 18 percent but had to ask other servers for assistance as ours was nowhere to be found."

  • "been before and liked it - but made a reservation for valentines day and although we saw the prix fixe advertised nowhere did it say this was the only menu available. Excited to order specific things off the main menu we were told the $75 Prix Fixe was the only option. The waiter was rude about it and we left because we didnt like the options on the Prix Fixe. Found it offensive because almost like they assume you will be cheap otherwise and we were totally going to end up spending more than the $75 each ... Either make it super clear whenever anyone makes a reservation online or over the phone OR respect your customers and let them order off of your full menu OR at the very least make sure the waitstaff is nice about it."
