Diner Reviews
  • "The service was outstanding. The steaks were perfect. My only negative was that the au gratin potatoes were a little disappointing and not even that warm."

  • "We truly enjoyed the Turkey Dinner - we have been to the restaurant many times and never have been disappointed. We plan to be back again very soon"

  • "We have been to Wildfire on a number of occasions. The food is always very good. On this specific visit I think the service was somewhat slow- probably as the result of the Easter crowd. While I can understand this from the food preparation standpoint I think the time to get our check and finish paying was longer than it should have been."

  • "I love Wildfire. However, I was so disappointed by the food and the service on Sunday. It wasn't even tht crowded. The potatoes were over done, the goat cheese was just thrown in a crock and did not look appetizing . The steaks were not cooked correctly, the lobster was overdone. I spent with tip over 350.00! Very upset."

  • "Best Easter meal ever, no cleanup, no prep, and no cooking!"

  • "We arrived at 11:45 am, was seated right away . The service was fantastic. He was very attentive and did not make us feel rushed and let us enjoy our time there! The food was outstanding all the steaks were cooked perfectly, the ribs were great, the side dishes were good and the largest potatoes I have ever seen. The dessert of the cherry pie and ice creme was awesome! We will be back often!"

  • "The food was not good at all. The best thing was the French fries"

  • "We considered it a dining experience as opposed to just going out to dinner. We believe the service could have been a shade better, but it WAS Saturday night and the restaurant was filled...big surprise...but I'm sure that is the case every Saturday. We enjoyed it equally as much as other times we have eaten at Wildfire."

  • "Never ever disappointed with the service or the food. I am not a person to ever try out new things from the menu because not willing to take a chance on not liking it. However with Wildfire I do it all the time and never disliked anything. As a side I always get the redskin-mashed potatoes. Love it. Had the lamb chops and it was delicious. Carrot cake for dessert very good. "

  • "Once again the food was great and equalled only by the friendly and cheerful server Bella. Always a requested favorite. I have been a guest since Wildfire opened and Bella has duplicated that tenure. I Had the bone-in sirloin and it was done perfectly. Others in my party had the prime rib, the filet medallions and another sirloin. All were served as requested. I will continue to be a regular at this great place."

  • "I have been to the Wildfire location in Oak Brook several times and had the filet trio. Had the same thing in Schaumburg. Much, much smaller filets in Schaumburg. Oak Brook's portion is much more generous."

  • "Wildfire is consistently great. I have never had anything less than fantastic there. Crab and lobster Bisque is meaty and flavorful and my New York Stripde was cooked perfectly. We had a wonderful server, who we have had before. I can't say anything negative about our visit at all. That is why we keep going back there. It is our family's favorite restaurant. "

  • "My husband and I ordered the shrimp pasta and the cod. We both liked our dinner, but once I tasted that fish,we saved the pasta for the next day and both ate the fish."

  • "Like all Lettuce Entertain You restaurants, Wildfire Schaumburg offers consistently good service, good food and ambiance. Wildfire especially does gluten free very well and is a great place if you have gluten intolerance. Steaks are good, service attentive and friendly and atmosphere is energitic without being overly loud. A good place for a business dinner or special occasion."

  • "We went at 4 pm so we were able to avoid the noise level. Our dinner was very good and our service was excellent. I love this place as long as we go early and sit in one of the quieter areas."

  • "We've eaten at Wildfire several times and have never been disappointed, and this time was no different. The food was great, the service exceptional and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. We'll be back."

  • "Wildfire provides great food at a good price. Not Inexpensive but a great value. Spinich salad is excellant starter and Bone-in Ribeye a very tasty steak. The salmon with the glaze was also very tasty. All locations are good."

  • " Although the server got the cocktail order slightly wrong, she remedied the situation quickly. The fillet medallions were not cooked as specified, they were overcooked. A new order was presented perfectly within a few minutes. My order, London Broil Swordfish with roasted vegetables, was excellent. Overall our experience was pleasant and would return with other guests."

  • "Wildfire offers a wide variety of food and you know it's going to be delicious. Particularly, the in-season Brussels sprouts side dish was amazing! "

  • "Have been here many many times and it never fails. Have always been hesitant to try anything other than the filet trio because it's so good, and because Wildfire is a steak house. Ordered the cod special and it was fantastic! Waitstaff was just the right amount of attentive - went early in the evening right after work so it wasn't crowded - it gets jam packed later in the evening. It's extremely pricey, but worth it for special occasions."

  • "My wife and I like to complete our week with a stop at Wildfire. We have NEVER been disappointed at the Schaumburg location! This past Saturday was a typical wonderful blend of great food, great service and outstanding value compared to other steak houses in the Chicago/Schaumburg area. We were promptly greeted and taken to our booth upon arrival. On this occasion our server Nancy took our drink orders and promptly had them served in time for us to enjoy prior to our meal! Everyone was very attentive and our water glasses filled and dished cleared by efficient assistants. Phil and his staff do everything to make our visits memorable. Thank you Wildfire keep up the great work and attention to detail!"

  • "I was a bit disappointed in my latest trip here. The appetizers took forever and the special filet Wellington was average. The presentation of my plate was messy, with the au gratin potatoes a pile of mush. It was more disappointing when the plate at the next table was served. That plate had a gorgeous presentation of the exact same meal. The only saving grace was excellent and friendly service. And the tasty Door County Cherry Pie."

  • "Food was great. Bison burgers, chicken club, skirt steak and scallops were ordered and were delicious. Service was wonderful. Very attentive and responsive to our needs."

  • "My friends and i used to love wild fire but last friday, our food was burned, and the manager was useless . All in all, bad service and bad food. i wont spend my money at this place anymore."

  • "We had 7:15 reservations for a special occassion and were handed a beeper with along with "we are running 15 minutes behind reservations". I make reservations in advance so I don't have to wait. We hustled to be on time. Over 30 minutes later I inquired and they said a table just opened up. I was not happy though I had not complained. Before I said anything the manager was at our table and appoligized as he knew it was my son's birthday (included in my Open Table note) and they were over a half-hour late. He offered a couple free appetizers and comp'd a couple drinks as well. Handled properly...Happy to go back."

  • "I actually had a $25 gift certificate from Lettuce Entertain You that I had forgotten about over the holidays that was about to expire. I hadn't been to Schaumburg Wildfire in a while and figured that'd be a great spot to use it. I used Open Table to make the reservation for the same night. I went with my brother and the place was packed and it was a Tuesday night, felt like a Friday night. I'm not complaining though as I love to see local restaurants being busy. Only waited maybe 10 minutes to get seated. We each had a nice cold beer, bisque soup, bison meatballs as an app and each had fish for an entrée. Service was great. Both very full at the end, but in a good way. I'll make sure my next visit isn't too long after this one."

  • "We recently had dinner at Wildfire in Schaumburg and once again Let Us Entertain You has decoded the secret to a successful and memorable steak house. We had early reservations on a Friday night (6:30) and were seated immediately. The Ceasar salad was fresh and delicious with an abundance of the requested anchovies on top. I had the char crusted bone in rib-eye which is a favorite of mine and it was delicious. I enjoyed the creamed spinach as a side which was also excellent. My wife had a chicken dish which she said was excellent. For desert I enjoyed the door county cherry pie which was the best pie I've had in a long time. Service was excellent. Rich Melman is to be congratulated."

  • "I'm always happy when dinner is at Wildfire. I have gone there for years, whether it be for a special occasion or if we are just in the mood for a really good meal. I am happy to bring business customers there as well as bring my girlfriends for a nicer night out for drinks and appetizers. This time somehow something from the dessert tray landed on my coat unnoticed.. When i went to leave we noticed it and I must have had 4 bus boys and waiters all trying to clean up my coat and appologizing for the mishap. Even with the mishap, Wildfire always delivers excellence."

  • "Normally we go to Wildfire for Lunch but decided to go for Dinner this time. It was REALLY good, and despite the fact that the restaurant was very crowded (at 5:45pm on a Tuesday night!) the service was top notch as always. I had the Parmesan Crusted Alaskan Cod (melted in my mouth) and my husband had the Door County Cherry Pork Chops (really flavorful and moist). We ended our dinner with Door County Cherry Pie (a must have this time of year). We will be back!"

  • "My friend and I shared a chopped salad. We'd never had it with corn chips before; too many of them, and didn't care for them. I ordered cod, a lunch special. The cod was very salty; my friend tried it, and concurred with my opinion. She ordered crab cakes, also a lunch special. She was surprised that it was a sandwich, although said it was good. She ordered roasted vegetables as a side, and couldn't eat them. They were charbroiled, burnt, actually. Have eaten here quite a few times, and have always enjoyed it, but would probably not return, based on this experience."

  • "My husband and I went here for our anniversary on a Tuesday night. We were seated right away, but in the bar area. Wanting a more "couple" time, I asked to be moved. They did promptly and enjoyed our delicious food in the main dining area."

  • "This restaurant has great food, excellent service, good location, but the noise level is too high especially if families with kids are present. They should, on their own, have some quiet zones within to accommodate folks who would like to able to hear each other when dining."
