  • "My wife and I like to complete our week with a stop at Wildfire. We have NEVER been disappointed at the Schaumburg location! This past Saturday was a typical wonderful blend of great food, great service and outstanding value compared to other steak houses in the Chicago/Schaumburg area. We were promptly greeted and taken to our booth upon arrival. On this occasion our server Nancy took our drink orders and promptly had them served in time for us to enjoy prior to our meal! Everyone was very attentive and our water glasses filled and dished cleared by efficient assistants. Phil and his staff do everything to make our visits memorable. Thank you Wildfire keep up the great work and attention to detail!"

  • "I was a bit disappointed in my latest trip here. The appetizers took forever and the special filet Wellington was average. The presentation of my plate was messy, with the au gratin potatoes a pile of mush. It was more disappointing when the plate at the next table was served. That plate had a gorgeous presentation of the exact same meal. The only saving grace was excellent and friendly service. And the tasty Door County Cherry Pie."

  • "We had 7:15 reservations for a special occassion and were handed a beeper with along with "we are running 15 minutes behind reservations". I make reservations in advance so I don't have to wait. We hustled to be on time. Over 30 minutes later I inquired and they said a table just opened up. I was not happy though I had not complained. Before I said anything the manager was at our table and appoligized as he knew it was my son's birthday (included in my Open Table note) and they were over a half-hour late. He offered a couple free appetizers and comp'd a couple drinks as well. Handled properly...Happy to go back."

  • "I actually had a $25 gift certificate from Lettuce Entertain You that I had forgotten about over the holidays that was about to expire. I hadn't been to Schaumburg Wildfire in a while and figured that'd be a great spot to use it. I used Open Table to make the reservation for the same night. I went with my brother and the place was packed and it was a Tuesday night, felt like a Friday night. I'm not complaining though as I love to see local restaurants being busy. Only waited maybe 10 minutes to get seated. We each had a nice cold beer, bisque soup, bison meatballs as an app and each had fish for an entrée. Service was great. Both very full at the end, but in a good way. I'll make sure my next visit isn't too long after this one."

  • "We recently had dinner at Wildfire in Schaumburg and once again Let Us Entertain You has decoded the secret to a successful and memorable steak house. We had early reservations on a Friday night (6:30) and were seated immediately. The Ceasar salad was fresh and delicious with an abundance of the requested anchovies on top. I had the char crusted bone in rib-eye which is a favorite of mine and it was delicious. I enjoyed the creamed spinach as a side which was also excellent. My wife had a chicken dish which she said was excellent. For desert I enjoyed the door county cherry pie which was the best pie I've had in a long time. Service was excellent. Rich Melman is to be congratulated."

  • "I'm always happy when dinner is at Wildfire. I have gone there for years, whether it be for a special occasion or if we are just in the mood for a really good meal. I am happy to bring business customers there as well as bring my girlfriends for a nicer night out for drinks and appetizers. This time somehow something from the dessert tray landed on my coat unnoticed.. When i went to leave we noticed it and I must have had 4 bus boys and waiters all trying to clean up my coat and appologizing for the mishap. Even with the mishap, Wildfire always delivers excellence."

  • "Normally we go to Wildfire for Lunch but decided to go for Dinner this time. It was REALLY good, and despite the fact that the restaurant was very crowded (at 5:45pm on a Tuesday night!) the service was top notch as always. I had the Parmesan Crusted Alaskan Cod (melted in my mouth) and my husband had the Door County Cherry Pork Chops (really flavorful and moist). We ended our dinner with Door County Cherry Pie (a must have this time of year). We will be back!"

  • "My friend and I shared a chopped salad. We'd never had it with corn chips before; too many of them, and didn't care for them. I ordered cod, a lunch special. The cod was very salty; my friend tried it, and concurred with my opinion. She ordered crab cakes, also a lunch special. She was surprised that it was a sandwich, although said it was good. She ordered roasted vegetables as a side, and couldn't eat them. They were charbroiled, burnt, actually. Have eaten here quite a few times, and have always enjoyed it, but would probably not return, based on this experience."

  • "Wildfire was great! If you are looking for a great place to go with friends or a night out with that special someone, this is the place! I love how they take your order. No pressure! We choose to order the salad to start. They bring the bowl to your table and serve you right up. The waiter will take your entree order after you are finished with appetizers and/or salad. I love this because then I don't feel like I have everything at the table at one time and I know my hot food is not sitting under a heat lamp waiting for me. The steak and pork chops were outstanding. As well as the dessert. My only negative comment. Wish they had more selections for dessert coffee. They only offer standard black coffee and cappuccino."

And when she brought the dessert tray she let us know that some of the offerings were available in half portions. The food is always good at Wildfire. In my opinion it is a better value than the higher-end steak houses. The only negative was parking - the lot isn't large enough on this busy night. Had to circle and wait for a spot to become available."

The kitchen was the main stage and at the hearth of the restaurant, it reminded me of the downtown kitchen Nomi. Everything was wonderful. Courteous servers, beautiful desserts, and delicious seafood. The salmon was served on a piece of wood! I have never seen that, genius."

  • "The bread was dried out, not fresh. The server was missing for long periods. The steaks were delivered but the server never came to our table to check on how they were cooked. My steak was ordered medium but was delivered raw in the center. I ate it because i could not find anyone to help correct it. The cheese cake for dessert was frozen solid. Again no server to tell. Finished my cup of coffee in five minutes, twenty minutes later was asked if I wanted more. No thanks, Too late! I will not be returning."

  • "my medium rare to medium porterhouse came rare. when sent back it came back medium to well. very disappointing. waiter offered to get another steak but my husband was done with his meal so I declined. we frequent Wildfire in Oakbrook and enjoy there much better than Schaumburg. we went to Schaumburg because is much closer to our home. first time we have been disappointed with Wildfire. I personally thought there should have been a price adjustment."

  • "I ordered a rib eye steak cooked medium. I cut the steak open and it was cooked rare. I sent the steak back to hopefully cook to medium. In the mean time my table continued to eat. By the time my steak was brought back to me the people I was with were about finished with their meal. I proceeded to eat the steak. It was dried out now due to being cut open. The manager asked me if I wanted a new steak and I told him no, because I would have to eat by myself again. In the past I've had good experiences. One would think when you pay $35's for a steak and it was not cooked properly and cut open that they would offer you a new steak."
