Wildfire - SchaumburgBusiness lunches and GF dinersOn this occasion I brought some international business colleagues here to try 'American beef'. The server took the time to explain the specials slowly so they could understand with limited English. Service was impeccable and they loved the food. Wildfire knows how to do a steak. As I'm Celiac, I appreciate the variety offered on the menu and always feel 'safe' eating here. I tell the hostess that seated us, she said " there is no such thing as a quiet table". Also, while two of us are still eating, the busboy is removing the other plates. I should have complained and refused the drink but I was a woosie. I'll go back but I won't order an alcoholic drink. It was our anniversary, which I mentioned in the reservations, and they made it feel special and acknowledged it by bringing us a free and delicious dessert! The only thing I did not like was the price of their martini's. I like a Grey Goose Vodka Martini straight up with three olives, and at $15.00 per drink you probably do not want to have more than one. If you would like a drink before dinner, consider something other than a martini. Another plus was the desert tray. Our server told us that any of the deserts could be served as a half portion. This allowed all of us to have a little taste of something sweet at the end of a very good meal. Will I go back to Wildfire? Our waiter was amazing! So helpful, he explained everything and made wonderful suggestions. The bisque was like none other and our filets were cooked perfectly. I was very happy I ordered the petite, because that was more than generous. The only thing I did not love was the broccoli. Will try another side next visit. We never order dessert when we dine out but they looked to good to turn down. We got a small sampler and were very apply we did! As I said, overall a wonderful experience and we loved our server!
