  • "My husband and I had dinner before going to Drury Lane. Food was excellent, our waitress, Linda Smith, was superior. The gluten free menu for my husband was actually a real menu, not a piece of paper with a few choices on it. The gluten free chocolate cake with ice cream was a surprise dessert to celebrate our 50 th anniversary and was so appreciated. And it was delicious! Thanks for helping us celebrate. Making the reservations on line was a real plus. Thanks again."

  • "I go to Wildfire often and am always amazed at the great food and moderate prices. Service was EXCELLENT. We were shopping and went to the restaurant early (4:30PM), when we couldn't get a later reservation at the last minute. The restaurant was busy and active. Service was outstanding and everything we ordered delicious. Remains one of my favorites."

  • "The food was very good but the tables were cramped and I felt rushed. The wait staff hovered and swooped on our table to remove dishes even before we were finished. This did not make me feel welcomed - I would not go back. If you are going to spend over a hundred dollars for dinner the experience should not feel like a drive through fast food joint."

  • "Service was patchy on my Friday night visit, having to ask for the wine menu twice, remind them about my drinks order and nurse an empty glass for way too long. Steak was poor - tough and tasteless - and my wife's went back twice, one way over, once way under. It was taken off the check without asking, which was a nice touch, but it still spoilt date night for my wife and I. I've been to the one downtown several times, and will stick to that in future even though it's not as convenient for us the suburbs."

  • "Wildfire is one of my favorite restaurants / bars. I've been to many Wildfire locations a great number of times. But on this particular evening at the Oak Brook location, my guest and I were put in a small room in the back of the restaurant that was quiet and dull and not lively at all. All other sections of this place usually have a great atmosphere. But this offshoot section was less to be desired. If you can be placed in the main dining area or near the bar it is lively and vibrant. But if you get stuck in this side room, it can be quite dull."

  • "Celebrated my wife's birthday at one of our favorite places. It was good, but my prime rib was less flavorful than on past visits. Trio of medallions were tender and all but horseradish crust were excellent; horseradish crust a bit overwhelmed the beef. Potatoes au gratin always a good carb choice. We spilt a small chopped salad, which provides plenty for two. Red wine flight was a nice choice. We will return, hoping for a return to restaurant's usual high standards."

  • "Travel to this area for work and try to eat here once during each visit. Love the food,the atmosphere & the wait staff is always friendly and attentive. Only downside is that it's very loud inside. Hard to hear the person sitting right next to you."

  • "Our food was great, the waiter was patient and energetic, and the time overall was great. But the kicker for us was that I had made a 6-person reservation, but didn't think to add the two 2-month old babies we had in tow. When we got there, they told us we ought to have included those two little kiddos because they actually put out a carrier-type device whereby the child got to "sit" at the table in his/her car seat. To do this, we suddenly became a table of 8, and they were totally cool with it and re-located us to a larger table asap. On top of all that, having our child elevated off the floor gave us peace of mind that no waiters would step on them running around, and we could see them sleeping while we were eating."

  • "The waiter gave us the wrong name Didn't ask if we wanted appetizers We were celebrating a birthday and when I asked about complimentary birthday dessert he said they don't offer anything free for any celebrations. But I was just there and they did offer free mini chocolate dessert with ice cream. After asking 3 more times and he finally says yes we do offer a mini chocolate cake & ice cream? It's 6 of us at the table but he only brings 4 spoons, WTH? After 30 mins he finally comes with the bill which had was wrong. We asked for the manager, told him our waiter name and the manager says, Who is Pedro? No one works here by that name. Who the heck gives the wrong name for service? I am done with Wildfire in Oakbrook, IL."

  • "I ordered a filet and it was dry. However, my date ordered a porterhouse that was juicy and tender. We both ordered them medium well. I know different meat cuts cook differently but my steak was almost burned. The mac and cheese was dry as well...not cheesy at all and my broccoli was literally sitting in a pool of water. On a higher note, the restaurant was lively. It was a busy night but I only had ot wait about three minutes outisde my reservation to be seated. Our waitress was amazing and knowledgable. I wish I could remember her name. Despite my food not being the best at the time, I do not believe this is a regular occurence. I would go back and maybe be VERY specific when ordering or send something back to be fixed."

  • "I was looking forward to dinner since we've been there before with a group of people and enjoyed it so I made reservations on Open table for 8:00 on a Saturday night. We arrived at 10 minutes to 8 and were told that we'd be seated a little bit after 8 and we were given a pager. I was ok with this as the place was packed. Unfortunately, the bar is small and there were no seats so we hung around the hostess area. While waiting, 2 other people walked in and said they had 8 o'clock reservations for 2 and they were seated immediately. That ticked me off, I asked one of the other hostess' why I wasn't seated but they were and got a few excuses and they said I'd be seated next. Got seated in a bad table at the bar, very cramped and loud."

A small anniversary cake would have been the clincher. A few years ago we also had a family of seven dinner for my mother's passing in a private room which worked out well."

  • "Always a pleasure to choose for a meal, Wildfire never disappoints its diners. The shrimp cocktail is amazing and the cedar planked salmon is always a good choice when you can't decide. The scallop skewers appetizer is excellent and the chopped salad wonderful as a main course or to share. They have a fantastic array of specials as well as the regular menu. On Friday night the wait was over two hours if you didn't have a reservation, so it's always a good idea to make one. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the western suburbs and city."

  • " Shrimp/crab bisque was very good. But the cornbread wasn't as good or as plentiful and unlike other waiters, ours didn't ask if we needed more. Friends salmon was good. I had the steak/bleu cheese salad and it was just okay. The steak wasn't plentiful and the dressing overwhelmed the salad. But the biggest problem was the length of time it took to get our entree. When it came time for dessert, my friend ordered blueberry pie w/o ice cream and waiter said he would get the manager to comp that for the lengthy wait time. Thats a sign of a good waiter, unfortunately, I must have become invisible because he never asked if I wanted anything. TOOK FOREVER TO GET THE CHECK. WE WONT BE RETURNING FOR AWHILE."

  • "The salads and sandwiches provided ample portions with some left over to take home. Some enjoy the complimentary cornbread, others would rather have bread. Service was attentive and pleasant. The air conditioning didn't appear to be working to the max, so we were all a bit uncomfortable. When I mentioned it, I was told yes it did seem to be a bit warm in there. No room for dessert."

  • "Escorted to side dining room next to kitchen area, too noisy asked to be moved. It seems that is where they put children. It was noisy since one little one was quite boistrous with his food and not wanting to have a napkin placed. Food service was okay. Three of us ordered Cappuccino which we had to wait awhile for and when it arrived everyone's was lukewarm, second one was okay. Ordered apple pie for dessert to be split among four of us, no knife or serving spoon accompanied to cut and serve pie or ice cream. Finally found waiter to ask for same, waited at least five minutes. One person finally got up and retrieved cutlery filled napkin to cut dessert. Will think twice about dining there again. There are a lot better places in Oakbrook."

  • "After many attempts to get a reservation at this location, we booked an 8:15 PM seating on a Saturday night. I ordered steak, which was delivered at a lukewarm temperature and was rather tough. The quality of the food did not rise to the level I had expected. This restaurant will probably not be a regular spot for me, but it might be an option for a burger or other more mainstream menu option."

  • "We have eaten at this Wildfire several times, and have never been disappointed--until this time. While my parmesan crusted steak was great, my wife's steak wellington was a huge disappointment. The steak, ordered medium, had a good crust but was well done. The second steak was medium, but the pastry was barely cooked. The vegetables were burnt, and not edible. It looks like the chef couldn't figure out how to get the pastry cooked properly without destroying the meat."

It was my guests first time celebrating a birthday so I wanted it to be perfect. I have come here three times in last few months and was always pleased, which is why I chose to celebrate here.   • "This was our first visit to Wildfire, it had been recommended to us by many, and we were not disappointed! The martinis were delicious. The service was GREAT! Several friends had suggested I try the Filet Medallions. I got three different crusts and every single bite had to be eaten slowly; they were so delicious and memorable. What topped the whole thing off was when the waitress brought a candle lit chocolate dessert to the table and wished us a Happy Anniversary. When I made my reservation with Open Table, I had asked for a corner table for romance and stated that we were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary but we were very surprised that this FREE dessert arrived at our table. Now that's CLASS! We will definitely be back!"
