  • "Kurt didn't make it. My dining experience was me (chef Sue) and my son. Aside from not knowing where the restaurant was physically located in that same section, walking up at least 30 stairs, I was in heaven when I saw that the decor was decorated from the bygone era of the 40's....my personal fav! Although the menu was not a real "brunch" menu, there were many special items to choose from. My son was looking forward to pancakes and bacon, but made his choice the cheese pizza. I rewarded him with eating the whole pizza by letting him pick out our dessert...2 spoons please! My leg of lamb was beautifully cooked, sliced in 3-4 slice portions, but arrived less than hot to the table. "

  • "6:30pm reservations for Easter dinner. Seated immediately, but asked to be moved to another table because the noise level was so loud, we couldn't have a conversation across the table. Our server did not mention the specials menu, but we found it along with the regular menu and wine list. I had to ask her name. Menu selection was very good, our food was prepared and served as expected. My mixed grill (lamb, pork chops and petite filet) were delicious. The roasted veggies were a little heavy on mushrooms and zucchini. Door County cherry pie and coffee were a perfect ending. Perhaps I should not continue to try the Lettuce Entertain You chain of restaurants. I felt the same way about Mon Ami Gabi. Great food, ok service, no ambience."

  • " I ordered my usual Cedar plank Salmon with wild rice and it was a generous portion for lunch and tasted wonderful as usual. My wife opted for the BBQ ribs but she didn't care for the carmelization of the ends of the slab but said the inner parts were juicy and tasty, the trouble is she didn't say anything about it until we were in the car. We both had the side Spinach salad which was fresh and very tasty. For dessert we split a slice of door county cherry pie which was out of this world. I try to get to Wildfire at least once during the season to enjoy this pie. It is all cherries with a delightful sugar sprinkled crust that offsets the tartness of the cherries. Wonderful!!!"

  • "13 of our friends met for dinner and drinks. We all enjoyed our food and Desserts. The Martinis were a smash hit! We enjoyed it do much that we came back the next night for a repeat! What made if especially delightful was our server Laura(Laurie) She was so very nice and very helpful. Although she was not our server the next night, she went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of. We told the manager (Ed) that if they ever take the stormy night martini, or the chocolate cookie dessert off the menu we would never come back! The greatest!"

  • "Brought out of country business guests to enjoy one of my favourite restaurants . Wildfire did not disappoint. Food was great. The signature topped medallions were a hit. The newer seafood trio plank salmon was delicious. Service was very good. Attentive and timely for a busy weekday dinner crowd. Could be a great spot for romance at a later time after the dinner rush on a weekday. We had to try out some desserts to share as they are soooo big. The apple crumble was the winner this visit. I will definitely bring back my business."

  • "Met some friends for lunch ~ Got seated right away. Our Waiter was excellent, reviewed specials with us, made recommendations, and came around whenever we needed him, without being intrusive or making us feel rushed. Food was absolutely delicious AND we ordered dessert to split. Again, absolutely fantastic! This would be a terrific restaurant for a date....the mood, the lighting and the ambiance are all there! Make sure to stop and check out the bar. It is elegant and attractive."

  • "Wildfire never disappoints! Came here for lunch and had the goat cheese appetizers which included toasted garlic parm brushed pita bread. The dip had roasted red pepper and goat. Cheese...absolutely to die for. Both of us had the crusted fillet duo with garlic mashed potatoes. Our steaks had parmesan, blue cheese, and Bernaise crusts. For two, our bill was 65 dollars with two sodas as drinks. I love the atmosphere and the high quality food and atmosphere. Will be back as soon as I can."

  • "I have found WildFire compares favorably to the best steak and seafood restaurants in Chicago. They are also about half the price of those other restaurants. So this is where we always entertain our business clients."

  • "Hi, We did have a fine dinner that evening. The restaurant was super busy, [Sunday 5:30] so even tho the waitress was very pleasant, she was hardly around us. My mashed potatoes were not hot and we did not like my husbands spinach [ it had some cinnamon or something in it]. We had no comfortable opportunity to have those items changed, and did not eat either one. Our table was cleared and we were awaiting our yummy desert. We waited... Then the waitress came by and asked us if we had already eaten our desert. No. She told us the kitchen said they had sent it out. Apparently she finally got them to believe that and then we did get it and It was good. Overall we had a very nice time. Thank you."
