  • "My family took me to Wildfire to celebrate my birthday. I've dined here before, so I knew what to expect. However, this was my first time trying the ribeye steak. I usually get the lamb chops, but was like since it's my birthday let's try something different. Oh..am I glad I did. The steak was so delicious. It is much cheaper than other steakhouses, but don't think because it was cheaper that meant the quality of the meat went down. That definitely was not the case here. The steak was tender, juicy and had a lot of flavor. They put au jus on the steak, which made it very moist. Not dry like "Gib???"..Oops I mean at that other place. LOL! The waiter even gave me a brownie treat on the house for my birthday. Overall, a great bday dinner!"

  • "We spent hours researching restaurants for our anniversary dinner in the city. Wildfire showed up on at least 2 of Chicago's best steak lists. We had the calamari appetizer (our usual favorite, nothing impressive here), Caesar salad (good but forgettable) and the seafood trio and porterhouse steak. Both dinners were cooked perfectly, but not anything we couldn't find somewhere else. The sample dessert tray was unappealing in appearance and options. Our server was excellent. Other diners appeared to be enjoying the barbecue chicken and ribs. Might be worth the price for a sandwich for lunch but we certainly won't return for a special occasion dinner."

  • "Food was ok. Steaks were cooked properly to our requests but service staff was trained inappropriately. I was given the incorrect side and they came back with the correct full side order however they took back the incorrect one and made us wonder if it was then given to someone else. It had already been placed on our table. I had a petite filet and it was not flavorful as other steaks I had had in similarly priced restaurants. It should taste good on its own without any sauces or additions. The bussers were anxious to remove our plates which was a bit too much. They were also more anxious about getting tables cleared than about giving diners the right of way as they are walking between tables. Server was ok."

  • "Felt like a special occasion! We were seated immediately in one of the banquettes so we could look out over the dining room -- great people watching! Justine was awesome -- professional and friendly; flawless service. We ordered two of the Signature Combination Plates: "Club" Petite Filet and Potato Crusted Scallops, and the "Ellington": Parmesan Crusted New York Strip and Garlic Shrimp. Side by side, you don't even want to bother with the New York Strip -- the Petite Filet is so much more tender and flavorful. Exquisite steak! Loved the grilled shrimp. The Key Lime Pie was the best I've ever had -- not the usual triangle shaped wedge. I wish I had ordered the Signature Martini Flight -- next time! The whole evening was a real treat!"

  • "Did not like the area we were seated in.....prefer the booth.... My fiance's ordered his steak medium well but it came out medium with a very very red center. He did not want to return so not to delay his father's day dinner. He had a tummy ache one hour later The asparagus was overdone. My salmon looked more like a half portion serving rather than a full compare to the table next to us. But the appetizer spinach dip, mash potatoes and half slab our son had was very good. Our Mother's day dinner was much better than this visit but hoping our next would be better because we do like the restaurant. Big thumbs up to our server, she was attentive but did notice we were not pleased....."
