Diner Reviews
  • "We love visiting Wildfire for their great gluten-free menu. There are so many amazing choices to choose from. Their toasted gluten-free bread is good, too."

  • "I enjoyed Easter Dinner. The food was outstanding, our server attentive but not hovering. The restaurant was filled but didn't feel overcrowded. We weren't rushed and I was relaxed throughout our entire meal. "

  • "Wildfire came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. Between the four of us, three different steak varieties were ordered. Everyone enjoyed their food and the taste was excellent. No special sauces or A1 needed here. The desert, cherry pie, also was highly recommended and was excellent. This was certainly a highlight of our trip to Chicago."

  • "When we read it was child friendly, we expected more of an Outback Steakhouse style. We were so happy with this very classy and hip place that made you want to relive the speakeasy days! Everything was perfect-highly recommended!"

  • "We went here for our 6 year anniversary and my boyfriend and I had a great time. The food and the service were all great. We'll definitely come back!"

  • "My husband and I decided to eat at Wildfire for his birthday and it was, as always, delicious. The one detail that I would point out is that I ordered the shrimp and penne entree. However, the noodles weren't penne; they were ziti. Still good, but slight error. Otherwise, everything else was great!"

  • "The food and wine presentation was enchanting. The service was exceptional as well. The only issue was the noise level. The food service area is out in the open and it tends to make for a noise environment, especially because the restaurant was very busy."

  • "The energy in the resturant was excellent. The food was not good but drinks were fine. Service was better than fine and fast. Table wait is ridiculously long there."

  • "This wildfire was just as great as the one in Schaumburg. Would go there again"

  • "Steak was a little overdone this time...first time I was a little disappointed. I would go back again, though, as it was unusual to not be great."

  • "Once again we went back to Wildfire for our anniversary. We love to go there for this special occasion. We have never had a bad meal and it's very affordable for the amount and quality of food. Service is always great. They even gave us a special dessert for our special day. I only wish we would have sat in the open area but this time they put us in the back room. It wasn't as nice as in the main room watching all the action around us. But overall a great experience."

  • "We usually get the same thing, but we tried something new and it was equally as good. The service was great"

  • "Throughly enjoyed our meal at Wildfire. The extensive gluten free menu is what brought us there but I ended up having the rib eye steak and a giant baked potato. The steak was amazing. We're from Alberta which is world renowned for our beef and this was right up there with some of the best I've ever had. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect - a packed restaurant with enough noise and energy but still having the ability to have a private conversation."

  • "We had reservations for 6:45PM and we were seated right away. My husband and I have been here several times, but this time we brought along a couple of friends. Everything was delicious. Everyone loved the hot bread, as well as their steaks. I had the honey glazed salmon which was excellently prepared, Our server was friendly and professional. We will definitely be back."

  • "One of our favorites. Outstanding French onion, chopped salad. We love the skirt steak. When in season the macadamia crusted halibut is a favorite. One thing that is entirely distasteful is the fact that if you order a drink "on the rocks" there is a charge for "rocks"."

  • "This chain restaurant is exactly what you would expect - noisy, busy, with OK amount of food for the price paid and with acceptable food quality that falls far short of its pretenses but is what you should have expected to get from this place."

  • "Celebrated my birthday with my husband, and wildfire was recommended to me by two different friends. What a great experience! Amazing filet & potatoes, good wine list.. All affordable but great quality. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the city"

  • "This steak house is probably the best priced of its kind in the land of plenty for such places. The bison with coffee rub was to die for. I found the Caesar salad a bit lacklustre. Portions are huge. Service was excellent besides a few small mishaps, I would have given extra half star in each category. Would go again for sure."

  • "We have eaten here numerous times, but, our waiter Shawn didn't give us the impeccable service we are used to here. It took forever to get our drinks and salad and then we were told the kitchen was running 30 minutes for orders. He convinced us to place our entrée order ASAP and wouldn't you know it....our entrees came out as soon as we finished our salads...with no break at all! Very disappointing!!"

  • "My fiance and I chose this restaurant while visiting Chicago and I am very pleased that we did! They had a very good drink menu and their regular food menu looked wonderful. Because I have to eat Gluten free, I ordered from their GF menu. They brought me special dinner rolls and my dinner was excellent! We had the spinach dip for starters and it was one of the best I have ever had. I had the lemon-pepper chicken for dinner. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and cooked perfectly. My fiance had a seafood trio and it looked very good. I know he enjoyed it so it must have been delicious! Overall, we had a great experience at this restaurant. It was well worth paying a few extra dollars! I would recommend Wildfire over and over again!"

  • "You can always expect good food, good service and a lively atmosphere at Wildfire. Their steaks crusted with various items are particularly good."

  • "Another great dinner with our family - two children ages 8 & 4 - the food was great - service was awesome - my wife is trying to avoid certain cooking ingredients due to a special diet - more than just the obvious gluten and dairy. Our server took special note and accomodated us - thank you again"

  • "This was my first time at Wildfire, and while parts of the meal were outstanding, other parts were a significant disappointment. I had the petite filet with potato crusted scallops. The filet was good and cooked the way I ordered it, but the scallops were a tremendous disappointment (even by Midwestern standards). The dessert (a seasonal cherry pie) was excellent. Service was good. If someone invited me to join them, I wouldn't hesitate to go again, but if I'm selecting the restaurant, I'll probably go elsewhere."

  • "We all ordered steak and it melted in your mouth. The flavor was one that we will now compare all our steaks with. The evening was delightful. We finished with desserts that were pure heaven. Can't wait to go back and eat there again. A true gem."
