  • "Really enjoyed a birthday celebration at Wildfire."

  • "Good size appetizers, excellent food quality and their steaks are great. The night we went the place was really full, so eventhough we had a reservation we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table and service was a little bit slow, but the wait was worth it."

  • "From the moment you walk in the front door, you know this is a great place. Outstanding bar selection and service to start. Table service was great, wide selection of entree choices and the steaks were great. Overall, an outstanding dining experience."

  • "My boyfriend and I went here for his birthday. The waitress was very knowledgable on the menu and wine list. There are many different options to choose from if you don't want red meat. I have to recommend that everyone tries the Martini Flight. I never drink vodka, but these taste testers were very unique flavors. The food was delicious and cooked exactly how I asked. A small cake with a candle was even brought out for my boyfriend. 100% would recommend this to anyone, and I would go back soon for sure."

  • "Recently my family and I chose to dine at wildfire chicago, we wanted to eat around 7:00 however the next availible was 10:30 so off we went to another place. the following day we went on line to make another attempt to visit and were successful in placing a 6:45 reservation. When we arrived we were told that they are on schedule and it would be a minute. to my surprise we had been seated quickly and had appetizers on the table shortly there after, It was at that time the taste and presentation of the food had taken the tables conversation over. Everything we ordered was fabulous to the degree with which you always hope for but never seem to achieve. So thank you Wildfire for making our dining experience a tremendous one."

  • "We dined here a couple nights ago and really enjoyed our experience. I have specific needs when I eat out due to my gluten-free diet. Our server was extremely accommodating. He brought us a gluten free bread option to go with our appetizer as well as gluten free bread for the whole group. We were also offered a free appetizer after we were seated in the wrong section. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there."

  • "It was the last night of our vacation and I wanted it to end on a perfect note. My two teenaged kids and I dined at the downtown Chicago location. We were seated right at our reservation time. Service the entire evening was flawless and the food was amazing. Lobster chowder was chock full of seafood, hot breads were great and our steaks and salmon were prepared just right. The au gratin potatoes were heavenly and the dessert delish. Even though we did not order any alcohol our server was just as attentive to us as she was to other "higher ticket" tables. We had a wonderful experience here. We have been to many of the other "famous" steak houses in Chicago and Wildfire was even better. I was impressed and will return on our next trip to Chi."

  • "Wonderful and extensive gluten free menu. Tasty steaks. A must return."

  • "I loved Wildfire! A friend recommended it to me to take my girlfriend to for her birthday and we were more than thrilled. The food was great, even though it was a little pricey, and we loved that the atmosphere was fancy but not strict. You don't have to know exactly which fork goes where and how to properly drink from your glass to be here even though you might feel like you have to. We loved the theme of the place and our waiter was great. Overall--love! We recommend the filet mingon, ribs, and berry crumble!"

  • "I used to frequent Wildfire some years ago and had very fond memories. I haven't been in ages, but they didn't disappoint! The only real change was the variety of clientele-but the food and service were excellent!"

  • "Have visited the restaurant many times on our trips to Chicago, Have been disappointed the last couple of time as the quality of the food and service seems to be declining. The service seems to be less personable and more intent on just turning the table. My prime rib came out not cold but not very warm either. Not sure I'll give it another chance for the price of the meal."

  • "Definately would have been a 5 star review except our host was exceptionally rude. There was significant traffic tie ups that day due to the first lady being in town and traffic being rerouted. Our group was seperated and we both thought the other would have made it. When we got there we were 30 minutes late for our reservation - definately our fault and we knew we would have to wait. However, when we checked in the host told us we were late, with no call and we could "now enjoy our seats at the bar". He reminded us 3 more times that we were late while he huffed and puffed about "finding" us a table - the place was empty."

  • "We have always loved Wildfire, but this time we ordered the combo with salmon, scallops, and crabcake, and while everything was super tasty, it was like getting a tapas plate!! The salmon was super mini, the scallops overly tiny, and the crabcake the size for a "slider." I left hungry for the 1st time, and I had both broccoli and sweet potato for side dishes, plus the sampler for dessert. That also has been "downsized" to bite-sized portions. And I am not a huge eater.....I weigh in at 125# soaking wet and 5'8" so I am thin. The only thing that was still up to its regular size was the sweet potato. I never waste food and if I can't eat it I take it home for leftovers, but, believe me, there was NOTHING left on those plates."

  • "Too many appetizing choices for both wine and food. Opted for the half chopped salad, more than enough for dinner. waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Would go back to try the steak which looked great. Nice music in the back ground."

  • "We went for our anniversary. We loved the restaurant. The server was very nice and friendly. the food was extraordinary. I asked for a well done steak and when it came medium well they took it back and they offered us a free desert and two cappuccinos! The service was great! I would recommend this place and I would definitely go again!"

  • "For a restaurant to have consistent crowds after all its time in the same spot and all the many restaurants in the area that have already come and gone, it has to have the right recipe. Wildfire does. The steak was cooked exactly right for two of us who dined, the service was excellent and knowledgeable and we never felt rushed or hassled."

  • "We split a salad and entrée, along with a bottle of wine. I think our waiter was not very happy that we each didn't get our own entrees, since that meant our bill wouldn't be as high. Our silverware was all taken after our salad, and we had to wait 5 minutes after receiving our entrée to get silverware. THe entrée itself (3 small beef filets) was a bit too rich - but that was probably our fault for straying from the regular. There were 3 steaks, with stuffed potato, cheese, and something else. Got that with au gratin potatoes, but it was way too rich for what we were looking for. Probably should have stuck with the regular filet."

  • "My wife and I had a very enjoyable experience here as we celebrate our 1st anniversary. The service was amazing. Our waiter was very attentive to detail and making sure my wife (who is 7 months pregnant) was comfortable and had everything she wanted. Our Filet Medallions were cooked to perfection. The only thing that was slightly off was that the calamari was just "decent". And that is me being really picky. Everything else was wonderful. We will be coming back soon."

  • "I don't have any specific complaint regarding the food. It was not bad, however not really memorable. The ambiance and service was nice. I felt the pace of the service was too fast. We did not finish our appetizer and the food runner brought our entrees. My wine was served after I was mostly finished with my entree. The store was not crowded as we were seated at 5:30. Too many memorable places to dine in Chicago, do not think I will return."

  • "This was my first time at the downtown Chicago location and it did not disappoint. My date and I were seated upon arrival, greeted promptly and all the specials were provided. The waiter gave us enough time to pick all of our choices and drinks. Please try the Stormy Night Martini it was really really good. One thing i did notice was waiters walked around with dessert trays showing the actual products which make it easier to choose. I will be visiting this location again."

  • "The Parmesan crusted chops was unbeatable! Food was cooked perfect and delicious! Hopefully will be back one day again. From out of state! The whole place had a bonfire smell; due to the open wood burning oven. Loved that too, but maybe not for some."

  • "Outstanding dining experience. The food, atmosphere, ambiance, and service was excellent. A definite gem. We even purchased some of their vinaigrette to take home, it was so good. Many good choices on the menu, we had a hard time choosing. We will definitely visit again."

  • "Everything was great - drinks, appetizers, entrees (three filet medallions with different toppings) and desserts! And our waiter, Jason, was fun and friendly and made the meal an even better experience. I wan't crazy about the first drink I ordered off the menu, so for my second one I asked Jason for something "made with rum, that's fruity and girly." I don't even know the name of what he brought me (black cherry something) but it matched my description exactly and was delicious! And the apple pie ala mode was amazing."

  • "Went with a couple of colleagues based on the recommendation of someone who had a kid in college in the area. I am from out of town so my frame of reference is East Coast not Chicago. We loved all loved the experience, smells and sounds were fantastic, service was great. I we started with the mussels and calamari both were really well done and everything had just hint of smoke flavor. I had the porterhouse rare and it was terrific one of the best steaks I have had, the prime rib and rib eye medallions were also enjoyed. Will definitely go again."

  • "I took my wife here for our 2 year anniversary dinner, as I thought it would be special since we had our rehearsal dinner at this location. We have eaten here several times besides these two dinners, and they never fail to provide a wonderful evening. The food is always the best. The service is incredible. Not once have I left with any doubt about being back again. They even came out with a free cake for our anniversary which really sealed the deal. If you are looking for a fantastic meal, wonderful service, and a great night, come to Wildfire."

  • "It is unfortunate that Opentable only lets you rate up to 5 stars. Wildfire Chicago continues to be a notable hotspot for all types of guests/parties. From the moment you walk in to your last step out the door, management and staff treat you like family. Tonight I had one of their most popular salads, The Chopped Salad. You must try it!! Until next time. Jonathan~"

  • "Celebrated son's 37th b'day with party of 9. Arrived really early to a PACKED restaurant but was graciously seated in the time to set up the table."

  • "We had a reservation. We were told two tables were being cleaned and we would be called shortly. They gave us one of their beepers. We waited and waited and the beeper never went off. We finally went back to the host's desk and were told that they tried to beep us but the beeper must have been broken. Either they lied or they gave us a broken beeper, either way we were not seated until almost 30 minutes after our reservation time. Then our server was pretty inattentive after that. The food, however, was very good. I had the prime rib, which was excellent. I also like the lemony vinaigrette on the broccoli. Blueberry pie dessert was also very good."

  • "My pet peeve is when the waiter or bus boy refill my water glass and touch the ewer to it. The ewer has touched other glasses and I don't want someone else's spit in my water. The restaurant is too noisy and the tables are too close together."

  • "We had a very nice dinner and experience. The food was prepared t o order and special attention was given to my wife's food allergies. It's not often we can feel relaxed and enjoy a dinner."
