Diner Reviews
  • "The place was pretty quiet and certainly less crowded than some of the other places along Los Olas. The oysters were fresh. I had the grouper for entree and it was good, though nothing special. The presentation looked half-baked. Also had the spinach and kale side dish which I found to be too salty for my taste. The chocolate desert was delicious. My overall impression is that the food was good enough for me to return for another try. The service was okay, though I went for several minutes without any wine ( a no-no in my book) and some utensils were not replaced leaving us to have to ask for a spoon. The atmosphere is nothing special, and noise level was quiet, but the place was mostly empty at 8pm on a Saturday."

  • "Saturday night on Los Olas. After driving around for 15 minutes, we finally get a parking spot (secret place and I'm not telling). 15 minutes late for our dinner, missed an outside table, but inside is pleasant enough, and quieter. Promptly the busboy Eric set us up with water, and soon after our waiter Brian emerged. He was a refreshing change from some of the waiters who hardly speak English. As a mater of fact he was the best waiter we've had all season. Pleasant, informative, funny, encouraging, attentive, we all loved him. He was also very observant as he noticed I did not eat much of my appetizer, so he took it off the bill! Hope he is around next time we visit this nice restaurant on Los Olas."

  • "I'm trying to figure out something to complain about but I can't. I am a local and came here for a birthday dinner. The restaurant is beutiful. Beach-Modern, light and airy. Our server, Brian, was excellent and knew everything about the menu and was able to anticipate our needs. Clark, the new GM was very helpful as well. Living in SoFla does not guarantee amazing seafood. This place does. Oysters, King Crab, grouper, everything we had was perfect. If you aren't a fish person their fillet was amazing as well. Best place on Las Olas with a phenomenal happy hour."

  • "Lots of people in the area and at the other restaurants, but this was very quiet. Food was very good across the board, and service was professional and perfect. Just strange that it wasn't more crowded."

  • "Food was average for the price...crab legs did not taste fresh...server was great..best thing we ate was grilled octopus and the bread ...the oysters (Rockefeller and fried) were average and expected at lot more given that this place specialized in oysters ...overall would probably not go there again as there are other options to try"

  • "Only open a year, it was amazing. The Stone Crab claws were as good as Joe's and you can make a reservation.... Steamed mussels were a HUGE portion. Everything was great including the service."

  • "Friendly hospitality at the hall and foods especially raw oysters, king crab legs and grouper for main dish were great!! It seems it is crowded around the venue at Saturday night and it looks their vallet parking service was not available and took 20 minutes to park. However, the foods made me forget about it."

  • "Our first visit to this great place on Las Olas.. Seated and greeted quickly. Waiter to our table quickly, Justin from S. Carolina.. It was evident from the start Justin was out of his element.. Asked about the fresh oysters.. Not very knowledgeable. So we got some of each. Ordered a bottle of wine..brought out the wrong bottle. Thank goodness I read the Label and quickly saw as it was not what we ordered and was more expensive. While we were eating, 3 ladies were seated at a table next to us.. They waited quite a while before Justin realized they were there and it was his table. No apology to the ladies, a fellow waiter, Did take their drink order.. Fresh fish was very good.. Overall a nice experience.. But You only get once to make it."

  • "After dining here with some colleagues, I was surprised by the negative comments on some of the previous posts. Everyone has an off night, but our dinner could not have been any better. Starting with a sampler platter of assorted oysters and stone crab claws, we all tried different entrée’s. The grouper, tuna and signature dish of scallops were the best meal we had eaten all week. They have an excellent wine list, and an abundance of servers who made our last night in Florida a very enjoyable dining experience. We will definitely come back."

  • "Wild Sea might get wild as the night progresses but early evening afforded us a delicious meal with a lovely presentation, attentive waitstaff and interesting outdoor dining watching the world go by. The bill was comparable to any restaurant of the same caliber. I would return."

  • "If you like fresh oysters, seafood, and lobster, this is THE place. Fresh, delicious, nice sized portions. Excellent chef produces a limited menu, but everything we had was beautifully presented and very tasty, great flavours. Service a little cold and slow and inattentive to start, but imporved as the evening progressed. We liked it so much we returned 2 evenings later and again it was very very good."

  • "Ft. Lauderdale was insane between spring break and President's week break but sanity was found here. The food was outstanding, wait staff attentive and the ambiance was serene! We loved it and would recommend it without hesitation!"

  • "Food was great, but the service was extremely slow. It took them 15 minutes for them to acknowledge that we were at the table."

  • "We were vacationing in Ft Lauderdale and had a great meal at Wild Sea. The service was excellent -- our waiter was so knowledgable and helpful with the menu and was attentive without being intrusive. Food was terrific and presented beautifully."

  • "Average for a restaurant is not good at the prices they charge. Nothing stands out and the cigar bar next door didn't help either. We won't be going back but there are so many places to eat on Las Olas, I'm sure we'll find a few we like."

  • "i ordered 2 appetizers they were delectable:fried oysters and oysters casino the wine was a good red cabernet from california at surprisingly good price, cannot recall the name the entree was a filet of gray sole covered with a mix of vegetables :onions ,leek, mushrooms with a lemony taste.the filet was slightly overcooked hard ,my wife filet of sole was more tender.the price was not on the menue it was higher than they have on all ther menu expensive for that dish"

  • "Location and oysters are great - however crew working on Valentines was completely inexperienced. Kept bringing wrong orders to our table. Quite disappointed to recieve a shrunken lobster. Inside the shell was what looked like a dried shrimp. Changed the order to 2lbs lobster, which added 45 minutes wait... So I was done before my valentine could start eating. Only 2 choices of dessert. In the end they switched the bill with another guest."

  • "Believe it or not, we chose to meet our cousins from Maryland here because of oysters Rockefeller on the menu. We were not disappointed. It was an untraditional presentation and really delicious. Husband had swordfish excellently prepared. I had Poke and was disappointed that it had pineapple pieces mixed in. My cousin however loved it. The ambiance was energetic but not frenetic. Our Brian, yes the famous one noted in many complimentary reviews was our waiter. He lived up to his stellar reputation. It was a long drive from our home in Coral Gables but was worth it."

  • "From the first greeting by Brian, our server, dinner was flawless. The food was exceptional. The fresh seafood appetizer was more than enough for the 4 of us. The scallop dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. Let the wait staff guide you through the menu and wine list, and you will be very satisfied."

  • "good food but too casual inside. need to put table cloths on the tables and adjust the lighting. we came back for the old menu and was surprised that none of the old items were on the new menu. Our waiter was good but had long period of no show. I think he had a table outside that he was attending."

  • "We were hesitant to go after reading mixed reviews on other sites. I'm glad we made the choice to try it. Our waiter Brian was very knowledgeable about the menu. He set us up with a nice selection of oysters that satisfied both our tastes. Although we went for seafood he guided us to a special bone in filet that was perfectly cooked and very tender. The side carrots were undercooked for my taste and too sweet, but the variety of roasted potatoes were delicious and interesting. The dessert menu is too sparse but the chocolate selection was rich and wonderful. It didn't need the pop corn garnish. best Bloody Mary .I've had recently as well"

  • "This restaurant was new to us for New Year's Eve. Our waiter was very attentive and full of fun. All six of us had very good seafood dishes. The grilled octopus appetizer was great and we enjoyed the vegetable tempura too. The vibe was lively and the decor is sophisticated, contemporary. I highly recommend this spot. We were inside, but I am sure the street-side outdoor tables would be good on a nice evening."

  • "On Christmas Day I expected a nice relaxing dinning experience. What we did get was a waiter to busy to take care of us.We got other dinners orders and could not get a cocktail refilled. It was just crazy. I liked my fish but I do not expect to return."

  • "Food was ok, but for a restaurant with a name containing "oyster" in it, I'd expect that when I ask what type of oysters it had, the response would not be "East and West Coast." When asked what types of the coasts, the waiter had to check. Then I asked if an alcohol could be substituted in one of the drinks on the menu, again, the waiter had to check & returned to say the mixologist said I would like it as is (the liquor in the drink often gives me a headache) with no alternate suggestions. I skipped the drink.Restaurant was empty yet when entrees served only 1 person got it and the others waited for a bit. Waiter was busy cleaning glasses instead of checking on the table. We are locals.Skip this place. All around, just enh."

  • "The oysters were incredible. The one lb lobster cocktail app was delicious. The mussels were to die for. I have never had such large, meaty oysters before. Two of us shared the dinner portion and it was tremendous. The service was impeccable. It is in front of the Riverside Hotel on Las Olas, we ate inside, but you can also dine street side. The My Pear Lady pear vodka w cinnamon cocktail was also to die for. The prices were reasonable. I can't wait to go again"
