Diner Reviews
  • "We started at the bar and our bartender, Matthew. He makes a mean old fashioned and the best whiskey sour I have ever had (egg whites in whiskey?). Our waiter was Justin. He was great. Knowledgeable, friendly and attentive - but not overly so. He had good recommendations from the menu. The raw bar sampler is a huge amount of food. I had swordfish for dinner and it was well prepared. My wife had 2 of the biggest shrimp either of us has ever seen. Desert was just Ok. Not as good as the apps or entres. Will definitely go back."

  • "We loved it. Miagi Oysters, Muscles and Lobster. What a feast we had. Service was excellent. Red Velvet dessert was sublime."

  • "Our food was delicious!! I had the 1 lb cold lobster appetizer and the giant tiger shrimp dinner with tomato jam and the most delicious gnocchi, husband had surf and turf finishing with red velvet beignets for dessert (highly recommend). Our waiter was very attentive and friendly, originally from NC which is full of wonderful people. Only downside is that the atmosphere is a little cold, could use some dimmer lights, candles, something to cozy it up a little but other than that our experience was great and we would definitely go back. It's not inexpensive but quality fish never is, worth another visit :)"

  • "I had salmon which was well prepared with a few vegetables. It needs to be accompanied by rice or something else to complete the plate. An additional side is an up-charge. Like most of the restaurants in the area, it's a bit overpriced and for tourists. The lighting in the dining room was VERY bright - more like a department store rather than a restaurant."

  • "Excellent place for a romantic dinner and/or someone looking for seriously good and creative seafood. The service is outstanding too."

  • "First time here though we're locals. Food was great. Crabcake was delicious as was its presentation. Lobster cocktail also nicely presented and of excellent quality. A little too much "pork" influence on the menu. But I had scallops without porkbellies so they added a scallop which worked out well. My partner had Grouper, sauce on the side which was good because it was a little strong. All in all a great experience. Justin was server and very knowledgeable. We'll be back"

  • "Everything was fresh and perfect works of art--the grilled octopus appetizer was heavenly. The entrees were fabulous. Ambiance was wonderful, as were the attentive but not overbearing wait staff. One issue was the raw bar items were prohibitively expensive."

  • "Three of us had dinner here Mothers Day. Surprisingly not crowded at 6pm but filled up later. Our waiter Justin was super attentive, friendly, professional, took great care of us. My companions each had perfectly cooked, fresh fish, beautifully presented. I had a fabulous salad and a $19 one-pound lobster cocktail on ice as my entree. I was so happy. The lobster was fresh and delicious. Didn't order coffee (had a couple of vodka gimlets that were excellent) but my companions did and they served me a delicious homemade biscotto anyway. Parked behind the restaurant in a lot for $5, walked through the pretty hotel area to get to the restaurant. We sat outside on Las Olas--very pretty, comfortable. Would definitely go back, highly recommend."

  • "My wife and I had dinner here to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The food was spectacular, and--just as importantly--the service was too. We had a server named Justin who took great care of us and even brought us a nice dessert on the house to celebrate. When back in Ft Lauderdale we would absolutely go back, ten times out of ten."

  • "Other than the EXCEPTIONAL service, knowledge & personality of our waiter Brian, we were not that impressed with the restaurant. No table cloths. The lighting was too bright in a lot of places. We had to maneuver our table to be out of the spotlights, & the next room over was offensively bright which carried over into our area. "

  • "The place was pretty quiet and certainly less crowded than some of the other places along Los Olas. The oysters were fresh. I had the grouper for entree and it was good, though nothing special. The presentation looked half-baked. Also had the spinach and kale side dish which I found to be too salty for my taste. The chocolate desert was delicious. My overall impression is that the food was good enough for me to return for another try. The service was okay, though I went for several minutes without any wine ( a no-no in my book) and some utensils were not replaced leaving us to have to ask for a spoon. The atmosphere is nothing special, and noise level was quiet, but the place was mostly empty at 8pm on a Saturday."

  • "Saturday night on Los Olas. After driving around for 15 minutes, we finally get a parking spot (secret place and I'm not telling). 15 minutes late for our dinner, missed an outside table, but inside is pleasant enough, and quieter. Promptly the busboy Eric set us up with water, and soon after our waiter Brian emerged. He was a refreshing change from some of the waiters who hardly speak English. As a mater of fact he was the best waiter we've had all season. Pleasant, informative, funny, encouraging, attentive, we all loved him. He was also very observant as he noticed I did not eat much of my appetizer, so he took it off the bill! Hope he is around next time we visit this nice restaurant on Los Olas."

  • "Tried this place after lots of research. Food was delicious. The oysters were some of the best we have ever had...so fresh. The outside tables fill up fast."

  • "Lots of people in the area and at the other restaurants, but this was very quiet. Food was very good across the board, and service was professional and perfect. Just strange that it wasn't more crowded."

  • "Food was average for the price...crab legs did not taste fresh...server was great..best thing we ate was grilled octopus and the bread ...the oysters (Rockefeller and fried) were average and expected at lot more given that this place specialized in oysters ...overall would probably not go there again as there are other options to try"

  • "I'm trying to figure out something to complain about but I can't. I am a local and came here for a birthday dinner. The restaurant is beutiful. Beach-Modern, light and airy. Our server, Brian, was excellent and knew everything about the menu and was able to anticipate our needs. Clark, the new GM was very helpful as well. Living in SoFla does not guarantee amazing seafood. This place does. Oysters, King Crab, grouper, everything we had was perfect. If you aren't a fish person their fillet was amazing as well. Best place on Las Olas with a phenomenal happy hour."

  • "Friendly hospitality at the hall and foods especially raw oysters, king crab legs and grouper for main dish were great!! It seems it is crowded around the venue at Saturday night and it looks their vallet parking service was not available and took 20 minutes to park. However, the foods made me forget about it."

  • "Only open a year, it was amazing. The Stone Crab claws were as good as Joe's and you can make a reservation.... Steamed mussels were a HUGE portion. Everything was great including the service."

  • "Our first visit to this great place on Las Olas.. Seated and greeted quickly. Waiter to our table quickly, Justin from S. Carolina.. It was evident from the start Justin was out of his element.. Asked about the fresh oysters.. Not very knowledgeable. So we got some of each. Ordered a bottle of wine..brought out the wrong bottle. Thank goodness I read the Label and quickly saw as it was not what we ordered and was more expensive. While we were eating, 3 ladies were seated at a table next to us.. They waited quite a while before Justin realized they were there and it was his table. No apology to the ladies, a fellow waiter, Did take their drink order.. Fresh fish was very good.. Overall a nice experience.. But You only get once to make it."

  • "Wild Sea might get wild as the night progresses but early evening afforded us a delicious meal with a lovely presentation, attentive waitstaff and interesting outdoor dining watching the world go by. The bill was comparable to any restaurant of the same caliber. I would return."

  • "After dining here with some colleagues, I was surprised by the negative comments on some of the previous posts. Everyone has an off night, but our dinner could not have been any better. Starting with a sampler platter of assorted oysters and stone crab claws, we all tried different entrée’s. The grouper, tuna and signature dish of scallops were the best meal we had eaten all week. They have an excellent wine list, and an abundance of servers who made our last night in Florida a very enjoyable dining experience. We will definitely come back."

  • "If you like fresh oysters, seafood, and lobster, this is THE place. Fresh, delicious, nice sized portions. Excellent chef produces a limited menu, but everything we had was beautifully presented and very tasty, great flavours. Service a little cold and slow and inattentive to start, but imporved as the evening progressed. We liked it so much we returned 2 evenings later and again it was very very good."

  • "Average for a restaurant is not good at the prices they charge. Nothing stands out and the cigar bar next door didn't help either. We won't be going back but there are so many places to eat on Las Olas, I'm sure we'll find a few we like."

  • "Location and oysters are great - however crew working on Valentines was completely inexperienced. Kept bringing wrong orders to our table. Quite disappointed to recieve a shrunken lobster. Inside the shell was what looked like a dried shrimp. Changed the order to 2lbs lobster, which added 45 minutes wait... So I was done before my valentine could start eating. Only 2 choices of dessert. In the end they switched the bill with another guest."
