This was our first visit to Wild Olive and we are so glad we decided to drive to John's Island from Goose Creek. The ambiance was amazing, the prices were extremely reasonable for the amount of food you receive and the food itself was outstanding! Our waitress Amanda was such a joy and had a wonderful personality. We enjoyed everything about the restaurant and have absolutely no regrets going there whatsoever. We highly recommend anyone to give Wild Olive a try-you will not be disappointed!!!

This was my third time at Wild Olive. The food is always amazing! John the server was awesome! He was so pleasant and informative and gave great wine recommendations! My husband always seems to get the chicken parm - and it's never a disappointment. I had the scallops and they were crazy delicious! We also had the charred octopus appetizer...yum! Please go and try - you won't be disappointed!

Found this place on a GPS searching whim. So glad we did! Be sure to have a reservation though; I heard the host turning people away for 1.5 hr waits. We ate here twice in one week it was so good. I didn't know many of the Italian words on the menu, but the server was so helpful and understanding. The food comes out really fast and looks and tastes incredible! I loved the calamari appetizer, the pappardelle pasta entree, and the tiramisu was the best I've ever had. Also, no matter what entree you get, order a side of the smashed, fried potatoes with parmesan and truffles. Big enough to share with a friend, but so good that you won't want to! Most pastas are available in half sizes too, which is nice when ordering appetizers and dessert.

We have eaten at the Wild Olive many times. It never disappoints. The food -- particularly the fish -- is always tasty, well prepared and presented beautifully. My wife's black grouper special was delicious and the swordfish cioppino was wonderful. We will be back when we visit the Charleston area again.

The noise level in the Front Dining room is terrible. There were only two of us, sitting side by side and the noise was so loud that we could hardly talk. Even sitting that close we kept having to repeat ourselves. Something should be done to baffle the noise and I will give you 5 stars.

Wild Olive has long been a favorite restaurant of ours. This time, we brought my cousin in for his first visit and he was completely blown away. Our server Ray was a treasure-charismatic, witty and knowledgable. The manager, Jason, was hard at work as always and still graciously found the time to stop by and chat with my cousin. We ate everything from a salumi plate, charred octopus and a butter bean salad with a farm fresh egg to a sampling of 5 pastas. All extraordinary!! And don't forget the Brussels sprouts! Sincerely, we could not have asked for a better evening or a more perfect introduction to the deliciousness of the Wild Olive

Somehow we missed this restaurant the last 2 times we visited so we will make up for it with two visits during our week here after experiencing an outstanding first time (hope we aren't jinxing it). The friendly greeting, knowledgable and cheerful server and a great selection if wines, appetizers and entrees will await our arrival the night before we head home. No need to travel into Charleston if you are looking solely for good food at a reasonable price.

We are new Johns Island residents. The Wild Olive was highly recommended to us by a local, while flying over for a visit. Love the look and feel of the outside and the massive tree in the back. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We have some sensitivity to gluten, and were pleasantly surprised that the wait and cook staff were very aware of the potential issues. The Wild Olive will be our special place for good eating.

I have eaten at Wild Olive many times, and despite the chronic high noise level, have enjoyed the food and the experience. However our group of 6 recently had dinner there on a busy Sunday evening, and I wont be going back. The noise level continues to be oppressive, to the point where conversation across the table require shouting. The server started out by describing the specials, and never took a drink order until we asked. The red wine we ordered was not just chilled, but cold; we had to warm up our glasses to make it drinkable. The calamari appetizer was undercooked and doughy. The bruschetta appetizer had no tomatoes (certainly the restaurant has the right to change their offerings) and was mostly congealed cheese.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary at Wild Olive this past weekend and had a fantastic time! We loved {almost} every thing we ordered - and really loved the price of the quality italian dishes! The only disappointing dish was the Bolognese. We dinned at Fulton Five last year and fell in love with the bolognese.. The dish we experienced at Wild Olive was a little on the dry side, and seemed a bit harsh. Other than that - from the two starters, to the two other pasta dishes, to bottle of wine AND great prices - we had a wonderful evening!

Wild Olive is a little off the beaten track, but it is worth searching out. The food was excellent- quality ingredients and good portions. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu. We had the gnocchi, chicken Parm, and pasta with bolognese. All were extremely good. And don't pass up dessert. The atmosphere was cozy but energetic. Good for a group of friends or a romantic date. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Friend Jackie and I met at Wild Olive Friday for dinner. We enjoyed the food and service very much. Jackie mentioned that Marko, the server described the special, Groper, so appealing in his presentation we both ordered that dish. I was delighted I ordered. The dish arrived very hot - which is important to me. I don't enjoy eating a meal that has been sitting on the pick up table so long it has cooled. Another server brought the dish and asked if we wanted more wine. It is great when servers work as a team to get the job right!~ Our only suggestion would be more sound attenuation as it was very noisy and at times difficult to hear each other.
