A word from Wild Horse Grill
Wild Horse Grill’s menu is based on the simple yet sound principle that everything we prepare should be done with pride and a craftsman’s attention to detail; cook food as though you’re serving it to your family and friends. This means utilizing traditional methods of food preparation such as
braising while incorporating contemporary techniques such as sous vide when they complement the food.
As a locally owned restaurant, our menu has a creativity and freedom that expands beyond the traditional conformity of “chain” restaurants. This variety of unique dishes, prepared from familiar ingredients, serves to give our guests an outstanding dining experience.
Come experience our ongoing culinary pursuit as we head into our 14th year as part of the unique and diverse dining scene that makes up St. Louis' locally owned destination restaurants.

We took friends as a "thank you"
and were pleased with both the service and the food."

My husband and I visited for his
birthday dinner. Our server was very kind and attentive but the restaurant just seemed very stuffy and it was super quiet for our personal taste. I am in my mid 30s and I appeared to be the youngest person there for awhile (it was prime time on a Saturday). We had a few drinks before dinner and enjoyed the nice selection. However, we ordered our steaks medium like we normally do. Mine came out Medium Rare and my husbands was very rare. He enjoyed his side dishes but not the steak. We do not plan on going back."

Nothing to write home about.
Server was distracted , food was hit and miss, atmosphere was cozy."

Dinner very good. Enjoyed our
dining experience. Service was very good. Would recommend to others."

We had a group dinner at Annie
Gunn's a few weeks ago and walked away thinking how disappointed that we were. We had a gift certificate for the "Originals" restaurant group, so with the weather being bad on Sunday, I suggested that we take in a movie and grab dinner at the Wild Horse Grill. We had eaten there a few years ago and I remembered it being good, especially the lobster mac and cheese, but not this good. The calamari appetizer was some of the best that we have ever had in St. Louis. It was nice slices of squid cooked to prefection with two very nice, although spicy dipping sauces. The fried chicken dinner was excellent and the ribeye steak was outstanding. I would pick this place over Annie Gunns anyday."

Food, service and atmosphere were
great - thank you!"

Attentive service! Wonderful food
and atmosphere! So happy there are still some restaurants where a calm and quiet environment is valued!"

We had a Birthday outing for a
group of 9 friends at Wild Horse Grill and had a great evening and meal. The food was excellent and the service was fast, friendly and efficient. I highly recommend the Wild Horse Grill for a special evening."

We had a great dinner at Wild
Horse Grill! We received a warm greeting when we arrived. Our server, Marcus, was very attentive. The wine selection was varied enough to get a nice wine by the glass. Our food was fantastic. We had the sea bass and the Kobe short ribs. Both just melted in your mouth. We laughed when they brought a steak knife for the beef, since you didn't even need a table knife to cut it. The portions were generous, so we didn't have room for dessert, even though they looked very tempting."

I was greeted with a smile and
given a nice seat next to 20 senior ladys playing cards. I have no idea what this was all about. Ordered a Filet for lunch my partner ordered a burger she took 1 or two bites and I only ate half of my filet. The filet looked like it had bacon around it from Sams or something only didn't taste good at all. There was 0 flavor to the Filet and the Veggies were mush. I do not recommend Filet for lunch perhaps they have a chef at night but I doubt I will ever find out!"

Food was amazing! Service was
great. It was romantic and quiet."

Wildhorse Grill was a very nice
evening out that thoroughly met our expectations. We went there the Saturday after Valentine's Day, and were seated immediately when we arrived, thanks to our reservation - there were people waiting. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I had the surf and turf special - Filet and lobster tail; my wife had the ribeye. Both entrees were very good, the salads beforehand were also excellent. The dessert options could have been more varied we felt, and none was a real chocolate indulgence, which we had hoped for on this occasion. Overall, it was a very nice dinner out."
Dined on 2/15/2014
The atmosphere was great. The
dessert, appetizer and steak was amazing. I got the duck to try and discovered I'm not a fan of duck, but the flavor was very nice in general. I'll be going back at some point to try the other options available"

We had a fabulous
evening...outstanding food, service and ambience! From drinks, to appetizers, soup, main entrees and desserts - our dinner could not have been more delicious!"
Dined on 2/14/2014
Love the venue! The food will not
bring us back -- worst Caesar salad I've ever had. Relatively new chef -- will wait till they get another one."

We recently discovered Wild Horse
Grill and have frequented there over the past few months. Kevin is an awesome waiter with great food and wine recommendations. The smoked duck and sea bass entrees are great. My husband got the pork chop last time and said it was the best chop he'd ever had. We've had several of the appetizers, soup, salads and desserts and everything has been excellent! We held an office Christmas lunch there and people were very impressed not only with the food but down to the special menu Wild Horse Grill put together with us and had at the table settings."

Wild horse grill serves THE BEST
fried chicken meal on Sundays! And it's menu lists delicious options We look forward to dining there again"
Dined on 1/26/2014
Was aware of the much hyped "best
chicken in Chesterfield" tagline and wanted to try it on Sunday. Was not disappointed...very good chicken, albeit a bit pricey comparatively. (They are apparently proud of it). Crispy, juicy, hot and tasty! The downside of the visit was the service. Not sure if they were shorthanded, or our server was in slow gear but it got to be a little annoying that we had to keep getting his attention and asking for drink refills and even table bread! When our dinner was brought (by someone else), we basically didn't see our waiter again until we needed the check."

Returned after many years. Food
has greatly improved, and we will come back more often. Ordered the butternut squash salad, which was excellent, along with the Amish chicken (also very good). Good local/independent restaurant. Oh, and their asiago bread is wonderful too."
Dined on 1/19/2014
Dishes were outstanding. Seabass
and Fillet were great; yet, the Chicken and Waffles and Meatballs appetisers were the best. Interesting, full of flavour and different. We have had great time. Enjoyed the ambience and the food. A great place."
Dined on 1/19/2014
We've eaten here three times for
their Sunday afternoon fried chicken dinner. Not only is the dinner a great value (4 pieces of chicken, soup or a salad, and two side dishes) but the quality is outstanding. Our waiter was knowledgeable, pleasant, and efficient. We would go back without hesitation...."

Having attended a rehearsal dinner
at Wild Horse Creek Grill,, we were so impressed that we decided to return with friends a week later for an after-movie dinner. Again, we were completely pleased. The food was delicious (scallops on barley is excellent, the Chilean sea bass with the best risotto ever was incredible), the service excellent, the entire dining experience was terrific."
Dined on 1/11/2014
Our food was very good other than
a steak which was incredibly undercooked. Unfortunately, our server was so bad that he never even came back to give us a chance to get it fixed! He also was slow and incorrect with our drink order. I hope our overall experience would have been better with another server!"
Dined on 1/10/2014
The sea bass with sweet pea
risotto and asparagus was good. The beef carpaccio salad is a new addition to the menu and my new favorite. My spouse enjoyed a steak special and it looked good. Wild Horse Grill is a one of our favorites."

We went to Wild Horse Grill for
News Years Eve with another couple. Food was great, service was prompt and friendly. My husband drinks water at every meal and we often judge service on whether our server can keep his glass filled. And they did!!! Definitely qualifies for attentive service without being intrusive. We will absolutely go back and would recommend it to anyone for any occasion."
Dined on 12/31/2013
The food and service were
excellent. Went there for New Year's Eve dinner. I had the Amish chicken which was probable the best chicken dish I had ever eaten!"
Dined on 12/31/2013
There are only two excellent
places in Chesterfield, with top-notch chefs, and this is one of them (the other is Annie Gunn's). Outstanding dinner; the bacon-wrapped shrimp was excellent, whipped cornbread added interesting texture and flavor. The double pork chop, cherry reduction dish was superb as was the 32-oz ribeye, a nice thick circle cut. Desserts were terrific, the bread pudding especially, the best we've had outside of New Orleans. The Caesar salad we had was good but not great; they did not have their superb spinach salad available that night, which is the best salad on the menu."
Dined on 12/31/2013
We had dinner with a group of 14
on Christmas Eve. Group ordered a variety of things and everthing was good. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I would highly recommend this place."
Dined on 12/24/2013
The fried Chicken dinner was very
good but a little expensive. You do a half fried chicken with 2 sides and a salad. But almost every Fried Chicken on Sunday is in the area of 12 to 14 dollars. Not $ 17 dollars which we paid."
Dined on 12/22/2013
we overstayed our table time, but
they were gracious. and our waitress was wonderful... food was interesting and good. And i felt it was reasonable.. i am very tired of 15 hamburgers that you have to order all else extra. and there was just enough... and it was not all fattening..good time"
Dined on 12/20/2013
After reading some reviews, I was
optimistic. While the space is nice and the service not bad, the food is predictable and bland."
Dined on 12/18/2013
We had not visited Wildhorse Grill
in some time and were very pleased. It was a slow Tuesday evening and we were very pleased with the low noise level and the wonderful food and service. We had an excellent bottle of wine and each of us ordered something different, short ribs, filet, ribeye and duck. Everyone walked away saying they had an great meal. We will visit again and soon."
Dined on 12/17/2013
Everything was good/great,
especially our server was the best.... the food was just so//so.. and a little pricey for not being great...."
Dined on 12/13/2013
Met a few couples we haven't seen
for awhile. We were put in a secluded area very nice and quaint. Service was a bit slow and it really wasn't that busy. Food was excellent with a fabulous wine and drink list. Thoroughly enjoyed it."
Dined on 9/28/2013
We enjoyed our Luncheon at your
facility. It is something we look forward to every year, and this year was exceptional. Thank you again."
Dined on 12/4/2013
It was a nice dining experience.
Food was lovely and everyone in my party enjoyed it. The place was quite empty for a Friday night. We felt maybe some lower priced "pub fare" could be added to the menu. It would possibly welcome more families and casual diners"
Dined on 11/29/2013
Sunday brunch was delicious! Such
an elegant environment. Gracious servers. The best Sunday fried chicken, mashed potatoes and green beans I've ever eaten!"
Dined on 11/24/2013
Highly recommend the Poach egg and
Asparagus. A gem of Wild horse that everyone must endure with their first visit."
Dined on 11/23/2013
We had not been to the Grill in a
year and decided to try it again. Our service was very good and we were surprised with the changes in the menu. They have a new chef and we were very pleased with our meals. The pork chop was perfectly made and the Chilean Sea Bass was tasty. We would return and try something else off the menu."
Dined on 11/21/2013
The food here is excellent. Don't
miss the asiago cheese dip appetizer and the duck entree is delicious! Servers are pleasant and attentive."
