A word from Wild Ginger Seattle
The food at Wild Ginger spans the Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia. We pride ourselves on offering traditional dishes from these distinctive regions and insist on house-made ingredients. Chefs make spicy chili sambals, fresh coconut milk, delicate egg noodles, and our pungent oyster sauce all from scratch. To achieve the sublime flavors of the East, there is no substitute for the time-honored customs of these rich and ancient cultures.

Diner Reviews
  • "We had a lovely dinner, great server and wonderful wine. Our bottle we selected was out, but had a lovely alternate suggested by the server."

  • "I have been to both the Seattle and Bellevue restaurants, and both serve some great Asian-fusion cuisine. Service was great at my last outing in Seattle, very attentive , and with a great attitude. The Potstickers as an appetizer were excellent, and I had the Kung Pao Chicken with brown rice. The plate was good for one and a half people person, so if sharing, you may need to order more for two. Have also hosted group events in Bellevue, which has a great facility for larger groups. Would definitely recommend"

  • "Bit of a large place, but, they do an excellent job all around. It is seperated into roons, so, feels smaller than it is. Food was quick, the servers are very well trained, any emoty plate was picked up by the first staff that walked past our table. Food was quite good, especially considering the number of diners they have. Very well priced."

  • "This is a must when you are in Seattle! The food is fantastic, the service is top rat!"

  • "We had a great quiet table next to a window, food and service was fabulous!!"

  • "With exceptional service our last visit, knew it would be a perfect spot for this special occasion with my brother and his fiancé. I don't usually write bad reviews but service was significantly lacking. Sat 10 min. before he came to our table. Had to ask to order drinks, then watched them sit on a tray at the bar (20 min. before drinks). We seriously considered asking to move to another server's section (which I've never done in my life). We had to get up from the table and ask another server for our bill and still didn't get it for 10 min. I'm all for a pleasant paced meal but this was ridiculous. The food is so incredibly exceptional I would return again, just got the wrong server and it messed with the celebration vibe of our evening."

  • "Service was superb, food was superb, timely, we had a concert to attend. Excellent wine selection, Personable, seated promptly"

  • "This restaurant is convenient to Beneroya Hall, and we go to the two together. It is always good, and it is always too noisy. (None of the above choices really apply.) If it weren't for the noise i would give it an unqualified rave. I never had anything to eat here that was not excellent, but the satay sticks are especially a fun dish, and the squash/yam soup is fabulous, almost a meal in itself. I would recommend it to anyone...and have. It is always crowded, which shows I am not alone."

  • "My husband and I hadn't been to WG for quite some time and decided to check it out again with the gift certificate we recieved. Quite the disppointment for the following reasons: seated by the exit door when there were plenty of open tables upstairs and on the main floor, before we could open our menu the wait staff asked for our drink order, food was lukewarm, handed us our bill without asking if we wanted dessert and never said thank you before we left."
    Dined on 7/24/2014
  • "Great ambiance; food was fabulous as always and server was very friendly and helpful with menu choices."

  • "We were a party of 5, including 3 children and enjoyed very much the food items, especially the 7 flavors beef that just fantastic in the complexities of the flavors. Order it, you won't be disappointed. The wine program is simply stunning with a large selection of library wines. I was particularly impressed with the selection of German riesling wines. Simply fantastic. The noise level was quite high though. We were seated close to a group that was very noisy. We had to shout across the table to ear each other. Despite being in a very touristic location, this place serves great food."

  • "Always heard good things about this place so decided to try on our recent visit to Seattle. Food was okay but the service was lacking. Overpriced for value received."
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "Wild Ginger is a Seattle mainstay, having been on the Seattle dining scene for a number of years. The food is great Asian/fusion, the ambiance is peaceful, the service is excellent. WG is a bit pricy, so come here if you're interested in an experience, rather than just some Asian food take-out."

  • "Great food! Servicer was very knowledgable of all the food and the wines they had to offer. Would surely go back when in Seattle again!"

  • "Wild Ginger never disappoints! The food is awesome and the service is (or at least has been for me) perfect!"

  • "Have never had a bad meal here. We shared smaller plates and had qute a feast. The mussels prepared Cambodian style were fantastic, in fact we kept the broth and mixed our rice in with it. Vietnamese chicken wings were crisp and flavorful, Panang beef curry excellent and Thai noodles plentiful ( we did the "small" order which was anything but. An altogether great dining experience"

  • "As always it was always good. I can depend on it for a nice evening out."

  • "I haven't dined at the Wild Ginger for at least a year. I thought the food was fantastic, but the service was ok. I thought the waiter was very slow on coming back to check on our meal and when we were served our food I had mentioned the rice. The person who was bringing us our dinner, was rude when I had asked about the rice with our meal. I also had to ask for our check and that was also slow in receiving. With so many options to dine in Seattle, I wouldn't come back anytime soon."

  • "I have been to wild Ginger at least 40 times and it never disappoints!"
    Dined on 7/18/2014
  • "We had mandarin chicken, 7 flavor beef, and two salads. All were good but for the price not amazing and the portains are on the smaller side. I've been going to Wild Ginger since their old location years ago and it's not quite as amazing as it used to be but it is consistantly good overall. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant itself is nice and comfortable."

  • "Fastest and best service I've ever seen. Excellent food. Interesting selection. By getting 2 small entrees, pad thai, a side vegetable, and tea, we had plenty of food for 4 people costing $80 total (including tax and 20% tip)."

  • "The food was really, really good.Planning to go back."

  • "This is a great place to change it up and get away from the gastro-pub scene. We loved the family style main courses, all 6 of us got to try so many dishes. And the cocktails kept in the spirit of the rest of the menu, the spicy mango got high marks from the whole group. Finish of with aromatic hot tea and sorbet, we all had fun."

  • "Been to this restaurant probably 40 times over many years! Recommended it, took people! Always consistently good flavors! Amazing if you love garlic.. I do! Definitely fell short on our most go to item.. Green papaya salad! So sad! Hope they find there way back to the old presentation! This one was rugged! They graciously took care of the salad however. Does this make it ok though?"

  • "My girlfriends and I went there for lunch to celebrate a birthday. It was quick and easy getting seated with our reservation. Service was great and the food was fabulous as usual. They are very consistant whether they're at full capacity or not and if we're a large group or a small party. I always enjoy my dining experience at The Wild Ginger."

  • "Really excellent food and service. The only drawback is the ambiance. You feel a little like you're in a fishbowl. Food was great and we would go back next time we're in Seattle. loved :dumplings, pad Thai, beef 7 flavors, and BBQ prawns"

  • "The food is absolutely fantastic and the service is great."

  • "wild ginger has a varied Asian menu with a wine list that far excess your expectations for Asian restaurants. The sommelier was very helpful in pairing our wine to the menu selections"

  • "These days we tend to dine with the over-85 set because we eat out with elderly parents once a week. So service and noise level are big issues for us. Wild Ginger is always outstanding in the food department being one of those places whose creativity and emphasis on fresh and seasonal becomes just what they do. But we had a particularly lovely waitress who managed to take care both of my rather quirky mother-in-law as well as showing humor and experience to us. If I remembered her name, I would single her out for special notice. But she was experienced enough to enhance our meal and yet not become a distraction by her presence."

  • "Was told by multiple people that the food here was fantastic. Our party did not find this to be the case. It was okay but certainly not memorable. Nice staff. Noise level really loud."

  • "We often eat at Wild Ginger before a concert, and it works perfectly--close by, reasonably priced, good food and quick service. My only complaint is that it is a bit noisy for conversation."

  • "Consistently excellent food and service. Its a standby for business lunches and dinners, as well as before events at the symphony, and a long time favorite for family celebrations. At lunch the Seven Elements soup is wonderful. Current non-alcoholic drink - think it was the OMG, was excellent. Service was equal to the food."

  • "I try to have dinner at the Wild Ginger anytime I'm in Seattle. The food is all delicious and well prepared, I have never had a bad meal there. If you're going on a weekend - reserve ahead of time."

  • "Wild Ginger is located across the street from Benaroya Hall so is a convenient place to eat when attending the symphony. The fact that the food is wonderful makes it a great place to eat at any time."
    Dined on 7/8/2014
  • "The major asset of this restaurant is its close proximity to Benaroya Hall. Otherwise it is a bit overpriced for what you get."

  • "Great menu and great food. Nice menu and terrific service! We were attending an event at Benaroya Hall. It was just across the street from Benaroya...Perfect! Made reservations online!"
