A word from Wild Ginger Seattle
The food at Wild Ginger spans the Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia. We pride ourselves on offering traditional dishes from these distinctive regions and insist on house-made ingredients. Chefs make spicy chili sambals, fresh coconut milk, delicate egg noodles, and our pungent oyster sauce all from scratch. To achieve the sublime flavors of the East, there is no substitute for the time-honored customs of these rich and ancient cultures.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a comfortable table. The waitstaff made helpful recommendations about our menu choices and suggested drinks to complement our meal. We enjoyed a Thai chicken and a lamb satay. The pickle is delicous! For our entrees we had the duck, 7 flavor beef (perfectly flavored) and the spicy green beans. It's not inexpensive but it's worth it. Nice place for out-of-town guests.

Last night was my second visit to this restaurant. I was impressed and pleased the first time and equally so the 2nd time. The menu is very interesting and the food delicious. Can't comment on the wine selection as I chose not to order Wine having had a martini in their lounge while waiting for my table (I was early). Our waitress did little to impress us but I didn't care about her. My guest and I were there for the food. It was very busy for a Thursday night but I suspect this restaurant is always busy. I must try it for lunch sometime in the near future.

The food was fabulous here but the service was not. We occupied our table for just a little over an hour and ordered drinks and multiple entrees. Even so our server rushed us out in an obvious attempt to turn the table quickly, bringing the check without offering desserts or after-dinner beverages. Much more of a chain-restaurant attitude than one of fine dining. Even so, the food was wonderful. We will try it again and hope for more professional service in the future.

An absolutely great night out while we were staying in Seattle. The ability to select smaller portions to try different things was great. The Laksa was some of the best seafood soup I've ever had. The 7 flavor beef was complex and wonderful. Excellent potstickers and the pork satay was perfect. The best dish of the night was the pepper scallops. Perfect.

I tend to be suspicious of fusion restaurants, but this one is great. It's located right in downtown Seattle, so it's an easy walk from the large hotels. The restaurant itself is huge and beautiful. The salmon satay is excellent, as were the entrée dishes with an emphasis on seafood.

Make sure you use your Open Table App to make a reservation. This place is busy and once we got our food I could see why. We started with the lettuce wraps which were amazing. The other couple we were dining with aren't seafood fans but definitely had their share as the Sea Bass was not fishy and had excellent flavor. Our mains were the scallops, green curry, 7 flavor beef. All excellent and again our non seafood eating dining partners had half of the scallops 😔 as they were way to good to pass up. The service was great and I would highly recommend this restaurant to all of my foodie friends. Thanks Ginger!!

I hadn't been to Wild Ginger in a long time (last time I visited they were in their old location). It was good food, but wasn't amazing or anything. I thought it was reasonably priced for a downtown higher end restaurant. Server was attentive for the most part, but the table felt like it was out in the middle of the room and there was a lot of waiter activity around it, so it wasn't the quiet spot we were hoping for on our anniversary. I remember the food being spectacular - this time, I would say it was very good, but not extremely memorable. The initial greeting wasn't very welcoming, even though we had reservations - sort of like we were putting them out, but our waiter was good.

I love Wild Ginger but was disappointed in our recent dining experience. Due to being short handed, our food was not hot when it arrived and our server gave us the most basic service. Drinks were only refilled if we asked, a dessert menu was not offered and our check was only delivered after we stopped her and asked for it.

I've been eating here since it was "down the hill" on Western Ave., and this was the first time I've been disappointed. A few pieces of duck in a mountain of cilantro - kung pao chicken was bland (no pow). Very surprising. Could have been an off night, but if it happens again, I'll know the thrill is gone...

My husband and I had symphony tickets, and we'd reserved a table for 5:15--times between then and 7 pm were booked. Because of downtown traffic, we were stuck in traffic, so I got out and walked the last few blocks while he parked the car. The staff people were lovely, seated me by a window, and were very patient while I was waiting for him. I tried the duck specialty of the house, which was fragrant a delicious, and my husband enjoyed his chicken curry. We enjoyed an unhurried meal and leisurely strolled over for the concert. We noted that prices were in line with other area restaurants, and we plan to return.

Once vibrant place is now old and tired. Many dishes like curries fall flat. Flat noodle still pretty good. Sauces need a boost in flavor and appeal to today's palate. Tables for 2 are too small for more than a few dishes. Green beans were very good, the highlight of dinner. Gelato also quite flavorful and refreshing. Needs to get interesting again in general.

This was my first time dining at Wild Ginger and the second time for my mom. We had the most delicous drink, "Ogm." Simply delicous!!! We couldn't get enough. Me shared the Gyoza and string beans- both were outstanding! We had the Kung po chickens and the beef dish for dinner. The smaller plates are more than enough. Delicous and flavorful. Next time we will have to try the duck appetizer as well as the lettuce wraps as that was the clear favorite from the other diners. Our waiter was kind, quick, informative, and simply lovely. The atmosphere was warm and very inviting. It was a great experience and I can not wait to go back!!!

Excellent asian food. We sampled many dishes and all were terrific, especially the thai noodles, lamb chops, duck and barbecued prawns. Our waitress was very helpful with navigating the menu and determining quantities. Our only caveats are the pricey wine list and uninspiring desserts. Highly recommend this restaurant.
