A word from Wild Flower Restaurant and Catering
French influences on this decidedly American fare make for an interesting and creative menu. Small plates and aged steak with award- winning BBQ ribs are just "the tip of the knife," on a menu that changes seasonally, in order to bring the freshest ingredients offered from our local farmers and ranchers.

We serve more than dinner. Our award - winning business lunch and "best in St. Louis weekend brunch" give you another reason to enjoy the efforts of our highly skilled chefs Leon Crues and Andre Grosz.

You can expect excellent service, without feeling stuffy, in the warm and inviting main dining room of this 100+ year old building. The exposed brick walls and tin ceilings add to the charm of this restaurant & bar.

We brought friends and were a bit worried ... so many restaurants change chefs and go down hill quickly. Luckily, that was not the case and we were happy and our friends were happy and that made us even happier. How good can it get?"

  • "I have enjoyed dining at Wild Flower for a long time, but recently that has changed. At a recent breakfast, we had to wait about 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The server said it was due to a back up in the kitchen. A few days ago we were there for a dinner preceding a theater event. We arrived with time to spare, but barely made it to the play on time due to the glacial speed of the food arriving from the kitchen. What is going on?"

  • "The food was amazing, the bread is by far the best bread I have ever had, I hope to go back sometime soon and ask if I can just buy a loaf separately. As with most higher end restaurants the portions were very small. I ordered the chicken and dumblings and there were literally five quarter sized dumblings. Don't get me wrong the flavors/taste were amazing, I am just used to eating a bigger meal. I had to fill up on the bread (which have I mentioned was amazing?), and I am only 5'11" 145 ibs."

However, we were charged for coffee, which I found puzzling as we paid almost $40/each for the brunch buffet. I thought they could have at least allowed for coffee to be included???   • "We went for mother's day brunch as we always do and it was very nice. The food was great and it's a cool place. My chief complaint is simply that the server's are not well trained. They are polite and strive to do a good job but they are inefficient and it shows in how long it takes them to do something as simple as refilling drinks. I also didn't like that we were charged extra to refill the kids' juices- considering the cost of the brunch it just seems like that should be included in the price."

We asked them to box the food since we were running late, and we found out when we opened our food boxes later that they had only given us half portions and had not included salmon in the salad although they had charged for it. After placing our orders it took exactly one hour before our food arrived and only after we threatened to cancel and leave. The eggs were barely warm but the potatoes were hot.   • "My dining companion wanted St. Louis ribs, which I saw on the menu at Wild Flower. So we gave it a try. Of all the spots we dined at in St. Louis, this would be the one I'd want to visit again. The staff were ultra-friendly and helpful. Our server definitely added to the meal. The ribs with mac & cheese were outstanding. The bar had lots of creative cocktails. The crab cake (as an appetizer) was all meat and flavorful. Topped off the meal with another drink. No dessert--but only because we were stuffed. Great menu. I had three meals in three nights on this block--and this was easily the top pick."

  • "I normally like this place for brunch but recently it has been hit or miss with the quality of the food and service. The hostess first tried to seat us right next to someone when the entire dining room was open (I mean close like elbow to elbow) then we requested to sit elsewhere and she puts us on the broken table literally 30 degree slant I almost want to say out of spite for asking to be seated with more space. We wait to ask to move until our very sweet waitress greets us and made up for the bad hostess. The food was quite bland this time which through me off I normally am happy with my meal but any place can have an off day. I went back and the same hostess seated us and was quite rude the male host is better."

  • "No parking. Everyone in our group drove around for at least 15 minutes. No valet. Noise level made it impossible for our party of 6 to hear one another. Felt so sorry for the waitress! Took 50 minutes to bring our food. Unfortunately, the food was TERRIBLE! Rubber eggs + chewy pancakes. No one in our party will go there again. This is the 1 st time I have written a negative review, but I hope this will resonate with Ownership. This needs to be addressed! Everyone around us was complaining. :-("

  • "My husband and I dined here for our 1 year anniversary. From the moment the hostess greeted us until the end of our dinner, everything was fantastic! The owner sent over two glasses of champagne and a delicious dessert as a celebratory gift for us! The food was great as well as the service. The owner made us feel so welcomed and special as my husband and I celebrated our first year of marriage! I couldn't have picked a better place!   • "We reserved a table for Valentine’s Day, but we had to wait for 90 minutes to get a seat. Everybody was in the bar and everybody received the same answer: that we have to wait approximately 25 minutes to be seated. Finally we got seated but the waitress that took us the order came back and told us that two of our options in the menu were sold out. I felt not well attended and when we received the bill, I hoped to have a valentines present that the restaurant had announced, but the waitress never came back."

I understand it was V-day and expected the wait but I didn't expect people who showed up after us to leave before us. The meal was good although the portions are quite small."

We waited over an hour for our appetizers, then the waiter came to the table to tell us that one of the apps was dropped in the kitchen….I mean come on. Then he didn't even make the situation better, it's as if he just thought that level of customer service was acceptable. Well, I bet he thought otherwise when he saw his tip."

  • "Went to Wild Flower for dinner on a Saturday night. Upon arrival the hostess met us promptly and got us to our seats. The waiter came over to get our drinks upon returning with the drinks, he informed us of the specials and left us to think about what to have for dinner. We had the Chicken and the Salmon which were both fantastic and finished our evening with a slice of cheesecake. During our meal the owner came around and talked with all of the tables to see how everyone's experience was going. I would recommend this restaurant for everything from a date night to taking out friends and family."
