  • "Always consistently good food and they accommodate a Gluten Free diet which is important when you are gluten intolerant. The food is always fresh and delicious. A great outdoor dining spot....weather permitting!"

  • "We love the White Orchid. The Thai selections are great and always spiced the way you request from very mild to extremely HOT. Other selections but why go to a Thai restaurant and not have Thai food! We introduced a friend to the White Orchid on this visit and we are sure he will return."

  • "The server partially spilled a drink on the table, my key lime martini didn't taste anything like key lime, I asked to swap it for another, it took a long time to get another drink. Wrong Apps arrived, it took a long time for the replacement app. A waiter picked up a glass that was 1/2 full and started filling it with water, except it was lemonade that was initially in the glass. The right app arrives and so does dinner and we feel rushed through the apps. The food was good, then a small hair was found on a piece of pineapple. By this time we were so over this dining experience that we didn't even complain, just decided to leave. Not once did any manager come over and personally apologize, however the server did several times."

  • "Disappointing. Crab fried rice overpriced; crab was skimpy and tasteless. Service was excellent."

  • "Great experience. Enjoyed both the food and the wine recommended by the server."

  • "Arrived for early reservation. Service prompt but non-rushing. Kyle was attentive and able to help in selection. Also did not use phrase "you guys". Serving sizes reasonable. Best spring rolls I've had. Unfortunately too far from home to get there often, but will the next time we attend the Pa. Shakespeare Festival."

  • "White Orchid is probably my favorite place to eat in the valley. I am always happy with my meal, I enjoy the atmosphere and staff is always very friendly. Usually sit outside in nice weather, but decided to sit at the bar. Bartender very nice and great service."

  • "Food was excellent. Wine list was good, but a bit pricey. Personnel were professional and friendly. I was somewhat disappointed in table location. Even though I had a reservation on a Thursday night, the hostesses seemed a bit confused as to where to seat us. We got a booth, which, while it was next to the window, was also next to the serving station/food pick-up which made it somewhat busy."

  • "We've been here before but this time seemed less enjoyable. The cocoanut soup was delicious, but the recipe for fried spinach must have changed...it just didn't impress this time. The haddock special (although with sauces) was a bit dry. Drinks were superb."

  • "Having been to White Orchid in the past we were looking forward to a good meal. The special martinis were very good- service very pleasant and professional, as well. The food lacked flavor- the papaya salad had no depth, no zip ! The pork belly on the app was tasty-The softshell crabs were tiny , (promoted as jumbo)and far over cooked supposed to come with three sauces only two offered- they came with the same bland papaya salad the app did - someone did not taste that mixture -the ginger scallop dish was lacking flavor especially ginger!"

  • "Calamari app is fantastic as well as lemongrass soup. Thai basil stir dry and deunken noodles are other favorites. Thanks!"

  • "Meal was very disappointing. Pork belly appetizer was not cooked nearly enough and had little flavor. Soft shell crabs were not sufficiently cleaned. Were supposed to come with 3 dipping sauces but only came with two. Drunken noodle was ordered mild and came with little to no sauce covering noodles. Waitress was somewhat friendly but very scattered, frequently needed orders repeated."

  • "I love this restaurant. It has an amazing selection of delicious food and every staff member is extremely nice. Our server this past weekend, Ariana, was one of the best servers I've ever had. As a fellow server, I appreciate someone who is kind and informative yet not overbearing or rushing us through our meal. I will definitely be back :) and I suggest everyone visit White Orchids. You will not be disappointed. "

  • "Upscale Thai restaurant is a great spot for a leisurely lunch. The corn fritters and Coconut soup are outstanding. Service is friendly, but pace is relaxed as all dishes are prepared to order. "

  • "My dining experience at White Orchid was perfect from start to finish. As it was a beautiful evening we decided to wait for an outdoor table, so we had a drink at the bar. My girlfriend's dirty martini was perfect. They had a wonderful selection of vodaka and blue cheese olives. The bartender was attentive. Before we knew it, our table was ready outside. The ambience was chill and comfortable. Our waiter Ryan was adorable, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding. The coconut soup and lobster and mango summer rolls were fantastic. My gf had the pineapple fried rice and I had the lobster pad tai. Both were outstanding. The portions are huge, so we had the leftovers the next night cold, and it was still fantastic. "

  • "Some components of appetizer and entree were cooked perfectly. Lacking of taste and portion size not worth the overzealous prices. Many other restaurant options available within 15 minutes and a few mile range."

  • "This was my first time dining here. I was told by friends that it wasn't as great as other Thai places in the area. We decided to give it a try and we were very impressed. Everything we had from the cocktails, apps, dinner was very good. We made special requests for our meals that and they were cooked to our liking. We will be back and have already recommended to some colleagues. "

  • "This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants because of the perfect balance of quality food and ambience. There are always interesting specials here, and appetizers that can't be found at the Thai places closer to home. The drink selection is much larger than you would expect. We had beer from a local brewery in Emmaus!"

  • "Appetizers are always great and the pad thai is good, albeit overpriced. You pay for the ambience and the location (I assume rent is costly). I usually enjoy dining here for lunch with friends and love the outside patio... drinks are delicious. Unfortunately, the basil stir fry on my last visit was not good - the veggies were raw and the beef was outrageously tough, stringy and completely tasteless. Very disappointed as it is usually a solid option for a quick, intimate dinner."

  • "Across the board, White Orchid does it right! Exceptional, well-trained and friendly staff knowledgeable in the menu and drink offerings. Great wine and drink selection coupled with a diverse and highly creative Thai fusion menu cooked to your level of spiciness. One of our favorite places to dine."

  • "Food and service were really good. I did not particularly like the ambiance.: a bit dark and not romantic. But the food, even though quite expensive for Thai food, is really good - not just your traditional Thai food. "

  • "We had made a reservation and were seated 20 minutes afterward. The service was not that great. We addressed it with the manager and he was very concerned and caring about it. He addressed the issue. The food was excellent!!! We will go back."

  • "One of our favorite restaurants and we've been dining there since they opened. Always love the soup -- Tom Kah for me, Tom Yum for my husband. Tried something new this time: Thai Red Curry Wings -- out of this world!!! We obviously love the food but what makes it all special is the knowledgeable, attentive service. Oh, and gotta love the Interesting Whites and Reds! "

  • "I went to White Orchid to celebrate my boyfriends and I anniversary. The food was very good. The waitress came to us a good amount of times, got my order right, and was polite. The only thing I did not like but I couldn't control was the people next to me. I like to think white orchid is classy and the people next to me were not. "

  • "We have eaten at White Orchid 4 or 5 times. It is consistently crowded and loud (not a complaint, just an observation). The food is also consistently good. The chicken satay and fried chicken drumettes on the sampler appetizer platter were really tasty. The rice paper on the summer rolls were totally "glued" together, so sharing was difficult. The drunken noodles were good. The panang curry was delicious. I wouldn't order beef in that again though. Heat levels are very conservative. My husband ordered the highest heat level in his green curry, but was kind of disappointed. This is a difficult place to come to for a party larger than 6. We were 7, and it was tight. Thai restaurants tend to be pricey, and here it is no exception."

  • "Recommended by a friend. This place truly lived up to the hype. Great drink menu, great beer list. The food was freshly prepared to our requests. I don't think our water glasses ever got below the half way point. The friendly and attentive service ensured a very personalized touch, much different than other places. We will definitely be back, and have already recommended this place to many friends in the past few days ( this does not often happen)."

  • "Have always enjoyed this restaurant, urban legend says it started w a real Thai mom in the kitchen and it has always been good. Last night, however, it was only fair. When ordering I spend a lot of energy on the heat specs..and I ordered med hot to hot. It came out very mild. My stirfry was really boring and was really a soup, rather than a sauce. Even the coconut shrimp we ordered as an app was not inspired or tempting. My dining companions also said their dishes' heat also came out wrong. When speaking to some other friends, they also noted it has declined. Busy bar, though, and pleasant space. When I mentioned the heat level problem to the waitress (only at end, when I had eaten little) she was not very interested in my problem."

  • "If you like Thai food, this is a good choice. We call ahead for reservations, because if you don't you'll be disappointed. The place is always loud so don't expect a quiet evening out. The last few times it took 10-15 minutes for our server to get to us for our drink order, but this has more to do with how busy they were than to any slow service issues. Food came out hot and we've never left there hungry!"
