White Oak Kitchen & CocktailsSuperb experience for my Birthday!White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails' lives up to it name. The decor is crisp, clean, and bright-relying heavily on beautiful white out paneling and fixtures that are complimented by large windows along the way outside walls. Their list of cocktails is extensive and interesting including drinks with moonshine. The food is exciting and oh-so-yummy! I highly recommended the potted shrimp starter and the fried chicken entree.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at White Oak.. but won't be the last! The food was excellent, not only delicious but visually appealing. Special compliments to the chef! The restaurant is casually elegant and our server was very attentive even when large groups arrived throughout the evening.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, service andExcellent food, service and location. We had a dinner meeting with outside contractors from Knoxville TN. We were all impressed with your restuarant.
Thank you4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMA must when visiting AtlantaBoth the cocktail and food menu were inventive and interesting. Although a gin martini purist, I enjoyed the muddled blackberry martini made with berry vodka. The fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese was a treat. Best of all was the vegetarian offering. Who knew a dish without meat could tast so good. Our waitress was outstanding, friendly and throughly knowledgeable about the menu. The menus change with market availability keeping everything fresh and new.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMCool and Nice - Not StuffyI had a wonderful experience at White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails. The food was great, the restaurant was full of business professionals during lunch and the staff was very helpful in walking me through the (new) menu.
I would definitely recommend this placed for lunch, dinner and/or cocktails. The feel of the restaurant is very cool and its a nicer restaurant without being too pricey or stuffy!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe reason White Oak getsThe reason White Oak gets a great review is that we had great food and good service from the wait/bar staff. Big caveat is that we had to wait 50 minutes for our food to arrive due to having dinner reservations on the night of NCAA championship game. Waiting this long is obviously unacceptable. However, the reason why I rate the service as very good is the manager comped most of our meal and the wait staff gave us free desserts. I've worked as a waiter so I have some sympathy for the obvious pressure they were under. Had the food been fair and some food not been comped, I'd be signing a different tune. But everyone handled the situation as they should - they apologized and took care of us.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a very nice dinner. We had a very nice dinner. The wait staff started out a little on the cold side, but warmed up as the night went on. The food was wonderful, get the duck or chicken!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMTheir fried oyster salad wasTheir fried oyster salad was exceptional. I thought I only liked raw oysters, until that meal.
Service was the epitome of Georgia charm. great experience!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMy first time dining and wasMy first time dining and was impressed overall ! I would recommend and come again
Loved the duck entree :) Superb3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMRecently went to dinner atRecently went to dinner at White Oak with my daughter on a Saturday night. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was very good. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive without being too hovering. I've read other reviews that stated their courses were slow to arrive but we did not find that to be the case. We had the deviled eggs, baby vegetables, duck and a lovely shrimp and catfish dish. All were visually appealing as well as balanced and very tasty. We will be back for sure.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall the food was excellentOverall the food was excellent but a bit overpriced. The cocktails are where its at. Everyone our group tried was awesome. Would definitely hit them up for happy hour!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMLunchtime meeting placeWent there for a lunch meeting with a coworker, the food was excellent, and the service was great. I would consider taking clients there anytime.3/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had dinner Saturday nightWe had dinner Saturday night before going to a show at The Fox. The food was amazing. A great fried oyster salad; succulent grouper and creative desserts. Good wine list. Unusual, but lovely decor. Valet parking is not on Peachtree, but rather, on Baker Street, so just look for the Valet sign. A really great find.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMTrendy decor, good food & serviceWe actually went not expecting much as was to be a reasonably quick bite before a show. Service was excellent with all questions answered well and attentive to our requests. Food is well presented and very tasty - Grits were good as too Devilled Eggs, but Lamb was a standout. Concise menu and wine list good. Decor is very open (may seems sparse to some) and trendy - had a booth which was excellent. Noise level was low however this may be because we were early in the evening. Ideal for solid quality meal or pre-theatre meal out, although wouldn’t recommend necessarily for a Romantic dinner. Good restaurant choice we believe for downtown Atlanta and well worth the visit.11/17/2012 12:00:00 AM
