Diner Reviews
  • "What an unbelievable place - was very have with the service and the food . What a place from top to bottom !!"

  • "This was my first time at White Chocolate. One of my guests had been at the Naperville location before. We all agreed the it was a great place to meet. It was a very nice experience from checking in with the hostess to the service provided by our waitress to the very good food. It was a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon,"

  • "I thought this restaurant would offer something special based upon its name, White Chocolate. There weren't any speciality items on the menu. The service was horrible. It was too dark and made reading the menu very difficult. There was nothing special about it that would make me go back or recommend it. The food was just ok, over priced and nothing to rave about."

  • "First timer and frankly a little disappointed in the food taste. Had the Trio of Whiskey Ribs, Pulled pork and Chicken . Honestly didn't like the ribs flavor at all. Pulled pork was good but the tiniest of portions. Chicken was nothing special. No bread to start is always a bad sign to me. If I give this restaurant another try it would likely be for burgers and beer."

  • "Have been here 3 times now and enjoyed all 3- Service is very good, seated quickly with our reservation. Good menu variety-love the food. Pretty noisy if you are trying to hold a conversation."

  • "Made a reservation for dinner. The restaurant is on the small side, but the booths are big and comfortable. The bar has an awesome selection of whiskey. Menu is moderately priced with enough to choose from. Save room for the deconstructed Banana Cream Pie. Delicious!!"

  • "WCG is a fun place to gather with friends. The ambiance is nice and the decor is trendy and modern. We all tried the white chocolate martinis which were very good (and very sweet). We also split the spinach and artichoke appitizer which I would rate as one of the better s&a appetizers I've had. For dinner we all ordered the tender steak sandwich and it was outstanding. The Parmesan mayo that came on the side was awesome!! For dessert the white chocolate bread pudding is a must! We also tried the white chocolate brownie whic was only ok. They covered the brownie in milk chocolate sauce which kind of ruined the brownie. Overall a great place! Will definitley go again."

  • "I chose White Chocolate to celebrate my friend's 65th Birthday and Retirement. Reviews on line were very favorable and that was the expectation I had. When arriving I again mentioned this special occasion so the staff would be aware. While the Salmon was excellent, the brocolli came very overcooked and I had to ask for Al Dente for the replacement. After dinner, the waiter came with the dessert menu for us to select the dessert. After spending over $60 I was expecting at least a brownie or piece of cake with a candle in it. I got up to inquire and was told that special occasion desserts are NOT COMPLIMENTARY, but they would put a candle in whatever we selected. Really??? I could have brought my own candle."

  • "Went here for Valentine's Day as a group. The seating and service was good. It was a nice place to dine. The food was good and average price. Overall, not a bad place to dine, but not exactly memorable. Felt more of a place to go after work to grab drinks, appetizers and a quick meal."

  • "We have two kids and wanted to go somewhere new. We heard White Chocolate had great food. As soon as we got there we both had a glass of wine which was great. The front desk was very friendly and professional. Made us feel important. The place was packed. Thank god we set up reservations online. We ended up getting our table right away. The setting was romantic and our server was very pleasant. I would recommend the pulled pork Nachos for appetizers. They were amazing. Dinner was great and the Brownie dessert was to die for. Great experience!!!!"

  • ".... service was not great. Our waitress was trying to rush us, even though there were empty tables about 15 minutes after we sat down. Noise level - more like a sports bar - was too loud for the type of restaurant this is supposed to be. However, the food was very good. I had the special, which was trout, and my husband really enjoyed his citrus/soy salmon. Banana cream pie was to die for!"

  • "I went there for a romantic dinner with my husband for a nearby "get away" from kids and routine... was very pleased with service, atmosphere, and FOOD! I had the blue cheese crusted filet with a "garnish" of mash potatoes. The only flaw I had with entire night was that they literally give you a tablespoon of potatoes... However, when I brought it up to my server, Tony, he sent me out a side of potatoes at NO CHARGE! I was not expecting that... I am not sure what the idea around having potatoes as a "garnish" would be since it seems to be the staple side for steak? Other than that, I am going back! It was a very pleasant evening!"

  • "The menu was excellent. The food was cooked to perfection and was very good. We saved room for dessert and it was worth it. Excellent!"

  • "Restaurant is very nice, Citrus Soy Salmon - was out of this world good, Banana Cream Pie dessert was also excellent, chips and salsa were o.k. - tasted to much like tomato, waitstaff was was excellent. Would definately recommend restaurant but first must warn you that there isn't complete seperation between the bar and restaurant therefore it's LOUD (you can't hear yourself think loud). If you want a nice quite dinner , it's not gonna happen here. Besides the noise factor would definately recommend restaurant."

  • "Maybe we ordered wrong, but the food was between "blah" and "ick". My husband had the mushroom soup and he said it was fair at best. I had a special artichoke appetizer ($11.99) and it was tough and tasteless. We both had fish (mine was the special of the night ..... Char; he had the crab cakes) with spaghetti squash as our sides. The food tasted like hospital food .... no spices or taste to anything. Very disappointing. The good: the drinks were great (Mojito for me and a Manhattan for my husband) and the white chocolate bread pudding was SPECTACULAR. A downside is that the desserts are only offered as servings for 2. Way too big for one, but we wanted to try a couple of things and were not going to order such big portions."

  • "The whole family enjoyed everything. Taste, presentation, waitstaff."

  • "The best item we had was the chocolate souffle. I had the balsamic steak and it was extremely fatty, the waiter tried to tell me it was a rich steak, it was not a good cut. The ribs were good, but not any better than you can get anywhere else. We did enjoy the atmosphere and it felt quiet, you could hold a conversation. We went on a Thursday night and it was somewhat busy but not packed. The waiter seemed annoyed that we were staying so long."

  • "This location was Lincoln Whiskey Kitchen, and still has many of the same items. We went on a Friday early evening with a 1 year old and three adults. We were seated quickly and our server was excellent. The food was above average and the prices were fairly reasonable. I ordered a mojito and they did not skimp on the rum! The mushroom soup is excellent. We had pulled pork nachos and the portion was huge. The veggie burger was better than most and I love the fries. The parmesan crusted filet could have been plated better and had larger sides. We had the profiterole and the chocolate cake which were very good. My only complaint was that it was so dark inside. Our bill came to a little over $110 with appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks."

  • "I ordered the center cut filet at 28.99. It was a bit salty at first bite but actually very good which came with a side of mash potatoes and 2nd choice (broccoli for me). The food was good my problem was the presentation and proportions. The size of the filet was a decent size I think 5 or 6 oz, the mash potatoes were about 1/3 cup and about a cup of broccoli (broccoli amount was fine). The meal was presented on a huge platter type dish so the amount of white space overwhelmed the food. It made the meal look very meager. It seemed like the mash potatoes were a paltry serving. They definitely could've added twice the amount. The crème de la crème was the banana cream pie. Absolute must try."

  • "I have no complaints concerning the ambience or the service. Actually the service was quite good, our server was attentive without being overbearing. For my entree I ordered the New York strip steak ($26 or $28?) and found it "mealy" and tasteless. I have had better steaks at much less expensive restaurants. I hope they improve their quality of beef-this was a disappointing very expensive meal."

  • "After going to White Chocolate in Scottsdale, AZ in a group went to Schaumburg since it is 5 minutes away with my wife for a change from our favorite Wildfire. We both enjoyed our meals and drinks but my center cut filet was a pretty small portion. Service by Alex was fine and hostess stand seated us rather quickly with a reservation. Wednesday night has specials on Whiskey and wine. However, our booth was so dark (ambience I presume) both of us had difficulty reading the menu. Dessert was very good and rich in chocolate."

  • "It has become a favorite for us. My boyfriend is a Professor at a local college and after a long teaching weekend, this has proven to be a perfect relaxation spot for us. Love the food, staff works together to make sure the customer is never forgotten and they are always friendly! Love the lighting and intimacy of the booths."

  • "The Schaumburg WC us not what I've experienced at other locations. It's an old Ted's Montana Grill and looks it - including the menu. My soup never arrived. A tall drink was shorted. Although the staff kindly took them off the bill. Overall, a disappointment."

  • "We enjoyed our dinner and the service was ok. The food was just okay though. I had the citrus soy salmon which was pretty good but a bit overcooked from how I ordered it. My colleagues had the ribeye and NY steak. They both thought the steaks were ok but nothing special."

  • "This was our second time dining at White Chocolate. The first time was lunch and we thought we would try dinner. The service was great. Ethan did an outstanding job. Kids menu is very reasonable @ $2.99/item and the food is top notch. Wine prices are fair, but the selection is limited. Food was very good and the issue of my under done steak was quickly addressed to my satisfaction. It was my birthday dinner with our two kids. The staff was very accommodating and acknowledged my birthday. No complimentary dessert for my birthday, so I would not recommend for a special occasion."

  • "The food was the worst that I ever tasted. This is the second time to this restaurant and I must say, the last. The WCG in Naperville surpasses this restaurant."

  • "thought this was a totally new restaurant, but turns out is was the Lincoln Whiskey Kitchen and they just changed the name. The food is basically the same but they added some great desserts. I would recommend the chicken crepes and the ribs. We had the while chocolate cheesecake, but they all sounded wonderful. A fun place to go, good drinks, good food and wonderful desserts. That's a trifecta for me."

  • "First time I came here the good was amazing and I ordered a hamburger. Second time I went I ordered the Cesar salad as my main course it was not filling and they didn't put a lot of chicken in it also way too much skald dressing I would go back just don't order a salad unless you get dressing on the side."

  • "The White Chocolate Grill was a very good dining experience. The menu isn't huge but they have a good selection of barbecue, seafood and steaks. The whiskey list is expansive (fitting for a place once called the "Lincoln Whiskey Kitchen") with tons of options for someone who loves fine whiskeys or someone just wanting to try one (or a few with their whiskey flights). Service was good, not the best ever but it's also not in the upper tier price wise so that's definitely good enough. The ambience is nice for a night out with a significant other and the noise level is tolerable. Has a few TVA at the bar if you want to catch a game as well."

  • "Restaurant has a great bourbon selection to choose from. It was very dark in the dining area and we used the light from our cell phones to read the menu. I was disappointed that the Schaumburg location didn't have the bourbon Mac & Cheese that I kept reading about only; waitress said it was only available in Naperville. Reasonable variety of choices on the menu. The bourbon wild mushroom soup was very good and I would recommend it. Overall, I liked White Chocolate. It was a little pricey with $12 for 2 oz of Woodford Reserve, but not outrageous. I would go back, but probably try a different location for different menu selections."

  • "The guys love the whiskey and meats on the menu. The ladies will enjoy the worth every calorie desserts. Service was perfect for a business dinner. Left us alone enough to talk, but made sure we were well hydrated. Great experience!"
