"I've been to Whist's brunch many times and was sad when they stopped serving it as it was a monthly highlight. When I received notice of their Easter Brunch I was over the moon and can say without hesitation - this is the BEST brunch buffet in Los Angeles. The food stations are always fresh and cooked to perfection and the bottomless mimosas are worth the $10 extra as the staff is very attentive to your glass!"

"Do Not ever go here for brunch. For the $55 per person (not including drinks or the automatic 20% gratuity added) the food is just not worth it. I eat out a lot and while I've never been a big fan of buffets since I don't like to stuff myself, even if the food is great, usually there is a stand out item or the service and the ambiance help add to the meal, not so here. You could order a special omelet but the other foods items lacked imagination and were just average. Our server came to our table twice in the 1 1/2 hours we were there, once after we were there 15 min and the first words out of his mouth weren't welcome or can I get you anything, but "you know how this works right?" 2nd time was to drop our drinks (without saying one word"

"Had a nice brunch Saturday morning. The staff was very friendly and we were seated right away. We even had the chance to meet chef Chris Crary who was so down to earth and cool. The quinoa with eggs was delicious and my omelet was light and fluffy. We will be back and next time most likely will be to try out their dinner."

"I would skip the meatball appetizer because once you've had them at Pizzeria Mozzza, nothing else even comes close. The black sea bass was alright, but definitely try the 10 oz NY steak, which is dry aged for 26 days. This item is a hidden gem in a restaurant that is not a steakhouse. The bar also makes really good gin gibsons."

"Went to Whist to celebrate a birthday and try their new dessert menu. The Persimmon and Watercress salad was tasty and not too heavy, which was good because we ordered a lot of other food. The meatballs were cooked for 10 hours and were delicious. The croquetas were amazing. Someone else in the group had the lamb shank and they really enjoyed it, so much that I couldnt even get a taste! The other two guests tried the sea bass and they too enjoyed it. Everyone was really happy with the food and service, our waiter, Mark was really attentive and accomodating. Even when two additional guests showed up unannounced he quickly had them seated and taken care of.
The dessert favorite was the Aplle Pear Crumble."

"Service was a little slow and unfriendly. Food was good, but not outstanding. We asked for a cabana when making the reservation, and again upon arrival, but the cabanas were said to be reserved. They were still unoccupied when we left almost three hours later, so that was annoying. On the other hand, the chairs at regular tables were very nice and comfortable, and I got a free birthday dessert. We were there for a family celebration, but noticed crowds of beautiful-looking people arriving at the bar later on."

"This restaurant is in a hotel which caters to a young bar scene. The restaurant is not very busy ( Saturday night ). We had a 5 course prix fixe dinner. Four of the courses were quite good, especially the sun choke soup and ravioli courses, as was the included wine ) but the entree, ( NY steak) was both tasteless and poorly trimmed of fat."

"The hostess was sweet and the waiter was very pleasant and attentive, but they this did not make up for the food which was lacking in flavour and was way overpriced for the quality. The prices were equal to fine dining, but fine dining it was not. The dishes were nothing more than strange eclectic concoctions. There were parties going on all around, which made it unpleasantly noisy. The whole experience was wistful to say the least. I would not go to this restaurant again."
