Food was not good. Needed seasonings particularly salt. None on the table had to ask. My wife had the lobster Mac & cheese. The sauce watery and again needed salt. Also $10 for a small glass of wine is a bit much!

We had a group of 8 with 6 different bills/tabs. Not only did the waiter/staff split entrees and salads that were shared by people, he also split the costs of those items on our respective bills without hesitation! That is outstanding service! It was a beautiful day so we ate outside. Most of the outdoor area has an overhead trellis that is covered with wisteria (or some vine). It made for a very nice shaded area (vs umbrellas).

We have returned here when we're again in Cincinnati because of the cool half wine bar and wine shoppe, half great restaurant concept. The wine flights were well-received and well-delivered (and happily drunk!). Nice menu, too. Give W.G. a try.

Had an enjoyable evening but was bummed that when wanted to order the Brussel sprouts found out they were cooked in bacon fat which we can't eat. Most people assume vegetable side dishes are vegetarian as they should be...buyer beware here!

It took a very, very long time for our food to arrive which was surprising since there were very few tables for lunch. I ordered a hamburger - pink - and it was well done. I also ordered it with sautéed onions and there were very little of them on the burger. The server while not too attentive was very nice and deleted the cost of the burger as he said it was not the way I ordered itIt was disappointing because all the reviews on line were very glowing.

We go here on a regular basis as its in our neighborhood and close to get to for both lunch and/or dinner. I don't I've ever had a bad meal and the service is always great. We're usually recognized as regulars when we are there by servers and/or management, which makes it even more special, but they treat everyone well. The risotto is consistently perfectly cooked and there is a special risotto every day. The seafood cioppino (which is on the menu) is arguably the best I've ever had - it's got a great smoky, tomato-ey flavored risotto and the combination of scallops, clams, shrimp and mussels has great depth of flavor (and I don't even like mussels but I do in this dish!). Drooling just thinking about it...LOL. We love this place!

Unfortunately our waiter was not the best. They were out of one of our entrees but were not told about it for 10-15 minutes after we ordered. That information should have been told to us much sooner. However, the chef & manager both spoke to us about it & we did receive a dessert to share.

This was my second time dining at WG. It was great to sit outside. Later in the evening we could hear ukulele music from someone sitting near Starbucks. We could also hear fireworks from the Reds game. The service was slow, though. My husband really liked his pork. I was sad that they were sold out of risotto, and instead ordered the chicken Marsala. It was okay, not great. Didn't think the mashed potatoes or green beans tasted good. Bottle of wine ordered didn't seem to match taste of what we sampled.

had group of 10 people, mixed reviews on food & value; for instance, I had roasted red pepper bisque...had so much tomato base that it should have been called tomato soup with a touch of red pepper (was faint). Two colleagues had crab cakes, and the plates had a touch of sauce, which they liked, but was not enough...I had the dinner portion blackened / spicy scallops, which had 4 small scallops with little spice, a lot of red sauce, and a massive salad in the middle. Flavors versus descriptions and portions were odd. The positive - the wine choices were great for 2-4 people, less so for large groups

Great place for drinks and food. We went the small plate route and was not disappointed. For the amount of food we ordered and buying a full bottle of wine, it was very reasonable. Also, no corking fees on Mondays and Thursdays! If I lived closer I think I would be spending a lot of money at WG.

The atmosphere was great and the food was all very good. Loved the pita and dip they present to you when you first sit down - great idea rather than bread. It was hard to pick something from the menu because everything looked so good! Will definitely be back; I cant wait to try other menu options. The only con was our server was really slow :( at one point my husband had to go to the bar to get his own beer! Overall a great night though.

We enjoyed our experience at WG. I can't believe we waited so long to try it. They have happy hour on Saturday evening. We sat at the bar and tasted a wine flight and had an appetizer before moving to a table for dinner. The Italian reds and Cabernets were both good choices. The food was outstanding. We will definitely return.

The waitress must have hed her cirst night. She took our order for the entree after the appetizer was cleared. The flight of wins is a great recommendation. I would not sit outside. All you look at is the parking lot. Tha bar looked nice but there were only four people at the bar and it looked a bit sad and lonely. There are no tvs in the bar that i saw. That's a plus. The chocolate lava cake is another recommendation. Thw waitress was nice enough.

We sat at the bar, initially for pre-dinner drinks but were so comfortable we stayed for dinner. Great atmosphere!! The wine flights are a fun way (and cheap during happy hour) to try several wines in one sitting. While the wine menu says the 4 tastings total 1.6 glasses of wine I'd say it was closer to 2 glasses, all for $9 (HH price). We enjoyed splitting each course, appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert. We both left comfortably full and the bill was quite reasonable. We will be back again soon!

I recently visited WG on Friday evening. While we were not able to have a seat on the lovely patio, we did enjoy a delightful evening in the spacious restaurant. My 2 companions and I shared 3 small plates and a large fresh salad. All the selections were presented in a most pleasing fashion, there was more than enough to share, and we all enjoyed the terrific taste combinations. Thanks for a great evening!

This was my first visit to W.G. Kitchen in Rookwood and I was surprised with the excellent service. It is a casual restaurant with 5 star service. The menu has a nice blend of dishes and it not too large. The food was excellent and worth a return visit. The only drawback was that it was a little too loud which had it hard to communicate with the person at the table with me.

Brought my mom and her friends' to this place for dinner to celebrate the International Women's Day. We had a very, very aggressive server: she screamed out the features, and kept on her military style in constantly bugging us about one thing or another. She was very pushy and seemed to interrupt any conversation we were trying to enjoy. I do not recall her smiling a single time. If the objective of this restaurant was to usher us in and out w the efficiency rate and friendliness of McDonalds ... Then ... Yes, congratulations - it had been achieved!

The food was very well presented and paced, the service was very good and did not hover or neglect the customer. The tables were big and comfortable. The menu features wine flights which is very nice, as this is a wine bar, but on the night I was there at least, the wine flights were nothing to write home about. I hardly call J. Lohr Cabernet the top flight glass of a Cabernet tasting. But the pours were generous for a flight. We had a good time and will come again, it might be a bit too noisy for a business dinner, but otherwise it was a nice evening.

The restaurant is lovely; half is a fairly substantial wine shop, and the other half has tables. We were seated promptly and our server was attentive and knowledgable about both the menu and wines. One of my friends and I both ordered a bottle of wine to go at the start of our meal, which he was kind enough to keep chilled for us until we left. The food is delicious! We ordered Chicken Marsala, barbecue chicken flatbread pizza, Cioppino stew, and spicy shrimp pasta. No complaints on any of the dishes! My only issue is that the restaurant doesn't have high chairs/booster seats. We had to hold my niece throughout the meal since she is a toddler - minor inconvenience, but not a huge deal, and didn't detract from our overall experience.
