"Steak was 95% of the menu with only 3 fish entrees and 3 chicken/or veggie entrees. I thought there would be more choices for seafood since it is part of the name.
Parking was a problem. I did learn that there is a garage on the other side of the hotel.

Staff was very friendly and helpful."

"We could not have been treated more kindly or efficiently by Eddie, the maitre d', or our server, Jeremy. It was a birthday celebration and I arrived early to make sure everything would go smoothly. I was not disappointed. Between Eddie and Jeremy, it was a perfect evening and one that was greatly enjoyed by all. O! And the food is fabulous!"

"We had a reservation for 8 pm on a Sat. When we arrived (on time) we were told there would be a wait. We went to a table in the bar and were not approached for 10 minutes. It was 27 minutes before our table was ready. At that point we just elected to eat in the bar. Food was good. Service was friendly."

"Although they do not have a kids menu. the waitress had many recommendations about what to order and let us split a steak for our 2 kids at no additional charge. The staff was very attentive and the service wonderful. We were staying at the adjacent hotel (West Inn and Suites) overnight for a 2 day Legoland trip and it was a perfect "gourmet" night out for our family after a day in the park."

"We took our 24 year old son there for his birthday and invited two of his friends. We were a little concerned (having not been there before) that it might be a little 'stuffy', but were pleasantly surprised to discover that everyone from the hostess to our server were friendly, helpful and hit just the right note. My son and his friends really appreciate great steaks and rated their choices as among the best they've had anywhere. The were all prepared exactly as requested and the sides and sauces were delicious. I am usually a vegetarian, but ordered the fish on this occasion and it was superb. The diners were a mix of young and old and everyone seemed to be having a very enjoyable experience. We will definitely return!"

"We really enjoyed West. My wife and I came for an anniversary dinner, so we were prepared for the heavy price tag-- but they do earn it. From the moment the valet takes your car you feel welcome and cared for. We were seated immediately and our server was very engaging and fun. The food is fantastic. I had a trio of seafood tartare that included the best ahi pole I've ever had (and I've made several trips to Hawaii). The broth for the escargot was savory and flavorful. We both had steaks that were cooked perfectly. The decor is cozy and impressive at the same time-- the abundance of wood gives the place a traditional feel, but the presence of large screens over the bar lend a sense of informality. We both recommend West."
