West Shore CafeThe BestWe have dined at The West Shore Cafe every year since it opened. In the past I almost gave up on the dining there, but with a new chef and renewed enthusiasm with the staff, I give it a 5 star. Can't wait to go back.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMOur food server was great! Our food server was great! Can't remember her name - originally from Minnesota - but she was friendly and informed. We had a great meal!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAppetizing experience, albeit noisyWe decided to go for a selection of appetizers rather than entrees, which was a lot of fun... The staff was always glad to provide us with plenty of hot, tasty sourdough bread to accompany the appetizers, and each selection was inventive and yummy. The only exception was the chowder, which we feel should have had more CHOWDER in a bigger bowl for the price!
Unfortunately, there were 2 infants in the dining room that definitely put a damper on the dining experience at this upscale restaurant. We are always dumbfounded by the lack of consideration on the part of parents taking infants to a fine dining establishment, or taking young children that haven't been taught how to keep quiet...
Looking forward to a summer's lunch here.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed everything aboutWe enjoyed everything about the place.
Bad glass of wine replaced immediately with apologies.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWEST SHORE CAFE IS "THE" PLACE!This was only our second meal at the West Shore Cafe, but we enjoyed it immensely. We started with the crab bruschetta, which was served on a large slice of french bread. It was particularly good, without being overly filling. Just right for two people. The special that evening was chicken fried steak, but not your father's chicken fried steak. Being intrigued with that as a special, we both ordered it and it was great. It even included two glasses of wine for $20, so not only was it delicious, it was a great value. We ended the dinner by sharing the blackberry-apple cobbler. In all a great meal for a great price. I don't think we'll ever return to the Sunnyside Restaurant, which for years has been our "go-to" place for fine dining.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a delight with a millionAlways a delight with a million dollar view. The steak melted in my mouth and everyone else in my party raved about the food. The service was excellent. I highly recommend it!1/21/2013 12:00:00 AMLakeside gemNice ambiance, although this restaurant really shines in the summer with its lakeside patio and panoramic views, it is cozy and warm with great views in the winter. Mondays in the winter are half price entrees!!1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
