West East Bistro brings together cuisines from West to East into one sophisticated and comfortable setting. Offering freshly made dishes featuring ingredients and cooking techniques you love, but in new and delicious combinations. Our Autumn menu features Beijing Special Salmon, Pad Thai, Dim Sum, Shrimp 'n Grits, and Venison Chops. All of our meats are pasture raised, hormone/antibiotic free and our produce is strictly organic. We are also pleased to feature a 'Healthy Kids Menu.' We provide a carefully selected wines, cold sakes, beers and top-shelf liquors to enhance your dining experience and pair with our Western/Asian fusion dishes.   • "I had been to West East Bistro for a networking event and had the opportunity to try some of the food. Everything was so wonderful that I went back yesterday with my family. We are all making a strong attempt to eat healthier, and still enjoy tasty and varied meals. West East certainly fulfilled those needs! The meals are very unique, spices perfectly executed, and the choices are unlike so many other restaurants in my area. The paintings on the walls are beautiful and eye-catching, and we found ourselves continually looking at them and talking about them. They have recently decided not to sell soda, and I applaud them for it. Take your family - you will be very happy that you did."

  • "What can I say that I have not said before. The food is great, the wine list is good, well stocked bar, and now they are serving a juice bar instead of soda, which is great. You must try them all. If you like spicy, try the bang bang shrimp and/or the gumbo. If you are into just appetizers, try them all, I did! The decor is nice and the paintings are fantastic. See if you can name them all. Bet you can't."

  • "It was one of my worst experience dinning out! It took 15 minutes before somebody even acknowledge us after we we're seated. The waiter who never introduced himself was so inexperience and didn't look like he was old enough to work there. When we finally got our appetizers the jay's pot sticklers were hard on the outside (almost like the were frozen first) and the filling was just ok. The tuna tartare was all vegetables and onions with very little tuna. My husband ordered the duck which was good but not great and I had the scallops with a cauliflower purée wasn't impressed. The cauliflower purée was flavorless. I was very excited to try this restaurant since it got great reviews but was extremely disappointed! Music was the only good thing"

  • "We had a nice dinner at West East Bistro. We ordered drinks soon after we were seated, but it took a long time for them to arrive. Also, one of the ordered beers from the menu was not available (last time we were here that happened with the wine we ordered). But the food was exactly as described and very tasty. A little pricey for the portion size, but enjoyable. We will return."

  • "West-East serves all natural food. They take special care to insure that what you are eating is the best quality. The meat is all-natural, the veggies are organic, they have a Resident Health Coach for crying out loud. If you want to eat out and feel good about what you eat then this is the place. I had the "Rocking Moroccan” venison short loin and my wife had Black Truffle Dusted Diver Scallops. Not a morsel was left on our plates; absolutely delicious. TL;DR - East-West Bistro is fantastic."

  • "I been wanting to come here for quite some time. So I bought the groupon that was available. My friend and I got the dumplings and bang bang shrimp as apps. Both were good. And lobster Mac and cheese and lamb chops as entree. Everything was really good. I plan on returning. I would say though the portions are a little small for entrees. Oh and dessert was great and everything is fresh and organic"

Forget the view outside, the decor inside works in a posh Manhattan style decor on Long Island. Looking forward to my next trip."

  • "My husband and I have eaten here 4 times, twice alone and twice with friends. The food is good and fresh, but the portion size is small. The men complain that it is not enough food for the price. Bread should be offered at the beginning of the meal. Last time my husband ordered the salmon and it didn't come with a starch. He was still hungry after an appetizer, entrée and a shared dessert with me. Our service has ranged from excellent to fair. This restaurant has the potential to be great, but isn't yet."

  • "thanx to amazon local, i purchased a voucher and we made our way in. i try to put good quality food on the table at home and was impressed with the fare offered on west east bistro's menu. we have been trying to eat grass-fed meats, locally grown produce and have even been getting our eggs at a local farm. sooooo you can imagine how anxious i was to try this restaurant. our meal was excellent from beginning to end. my husband said his filet mignon was the most tender he has ever had. my asian burger topped with an egg and duck bacon was amazing. we both had dessert, something I never do but i couldn't pass up the indian panna cotta w/ saffron; and i am sooooo glad i didn't. it was excellent !!!! looking forward to returning soon. "

  • "We weren't sure what to expect when we pulled up to this bistro, nestled in a strip mall in Hicksville. Walked in to live guitarist playing, which was a nice touch. The menu was very diverse, though Asian inspired for most dishes. Being a vegetarian, I was impressed that there was an entire vegetarian menu page. They also labeled GF for those who are gluten-free. Our food was top notch. The portions are sort of small - but probably more in line with what a portion should be, rather than the super-sizes we are used to being served in America. Would DEFINITELY return again! And for a special treat....order the Carrot Cake!"

For the whole experience, I found the prices high while the experience did not warrant it. The appetizer portions were good but very small.   • "West East is a storefront. It has no soundproofing so that conversation at a table of four was a challenge. It was worse when a too loud but talented duo was playing music and singing.   • "A great surprise! All vibrant new dishes full of flavor. All organic veggies and humanely raised meats. Gluten free options as well. Great presentations. A "Must try" menu to wake you up from the usual! Ours consisted of Apps of Jays Pot stickers thinly wrapped veal, ginger, scallions, oyster sauce, soy/cilantro/chili dip and delicious, diver scallops perfectly cooked with cauliflower puree, parmesan crisp, cabernet/syrah butter, soup was bombay style gumbo with chicken, wild shrimp, chorizo, cumin, garam masala, so good! Entrees were rack of lamb roast with roschti potatoes, cucumber raita and the evening special of seared Ahi tuna, fresh, cooked perfectly, with fresh horseradish and ginger and a soy dip. Everything was so enjoyable. "

  • "A little pricy, but great food - the pad thai was excellent, as was the amazing take on rice pudding. The gumbo was also amazing - I could easily have 2 bowls as a meal. The beet dish could have had more lettuce and cheese...and beets. The pot stickers were great as well. All that said, $150 for 3 people was high, even for a 4 course meal. Three gripes: coffee and tea didn't come with dessert, but after; it took quite a while between courses; and there is only 1 bathroom stall for each sex. The farmer's market is a great idea though."

  • "It's location is not the best, but folks found their way there (both families with kids, couples and seniors) and enjoyed West East's offerings. I would imagine that lunch would be popular here as well as dinner. Live entertainment was particularly welcome. Food was very tasty - we ordered 4 different entrees and each was well executed. Wished for a little more attentive wait staff but this could be due to arriving way before a Friday dinner crowd. Would go back! Establishments that focus on whole foods should be supported wholeheartedly, and this certainly deserves much praise."
