Always a treat to stop and have a
meal at Welshfield!"

Charming and warm atmosphere,
wonderful food with a good balance of comfort food and unique dishes. From steaks to fish everything is terrific!"

Went Friday night, very noisy and
children running around. Ordered the fish special and it was cold when it arrived. Taste was good. Our server was very nice. Employees were all very friendly. Will not go back on a Friday."

Have driven past the Welshfield
Inn for years on my way to Warren for business travel and decided to take my wife for a night out. We were very surprised! The service was perfect, food prepared just right. I ordered medium rare prime rib and it was actually medium rare! Thanks for a great night!"

Genteel atmosphere in a historical
setting for my parents birthday celebration. Complimentary cinnamon rolls were warm, delicious and replenished twice as we took our time socializing before ordering. My mother's Cobb salad portion was enough for two meals and she was very pleased with it. Father had been "dreaming about" the shrimp and grits since the last time he was there and after tasting it I could see why. Husband's beef hash was mostly succulent roast beef which made him very happy. Waiter was wonderful; attentive but realizing that this was going to be a leisurely meal for us. Shared the history of the restaurant and pointed out interesting features of the renovations. Only downside - even in the "fireplace room" it was chilly."

Dining at Welshfield Inn was a
memorable. event. Everything about the restaurant is outstanding from the uniquely prepared and presented food to the welcoming atmosphere, the kind and courteous staff, the warmth of the fireplace, the coziness of the rooms, and reasonable special occasion prices all made for a never to be forgotten evening. special occasion prices."

The food, as always, was great. We
had the firecracker shrimp appetizer- excellent. I had the prime rib, very good, and my wife had the scallops & risotto, which she enjoyed. The risotto was made with lobster, sweet corn, and bacon and was outstanding. The only problem was that the restaurant is in an old house and it was a cold night. Our table was by a window and it was really cold. Next time, which will be soon, we'll ask to sit in the middle of the room which was toasty warm."

Once again, not disappointed with
the restuarant, service or food. Everything was in excellent condition and watch out for the popular wasbasi mashed potatoes - fantastic!!"
Dined on 2/14/2014
As always, the Welshfield Inn does
not disappoint. Fantastic food perfectly prepared, great service."
Dined on 2/13/2014
We went on the popular burger
night. The burgers were great but service wasn't. Our order came in a timely manner but we had to wait a few minutes for condiments to come (why couldn't they think ahead for mustard, mayo, and Ketshup?), the french fries were barely warm, and they finally brought cinnamon appetizer rolls about 5 minutes after we got served our main course! So that's the story."

This was our first visit to
Welshfield Inn and won't be our last!! The restaurant is charming, with a cozy feel. We only had adults in our party, but obviously it is child friendly as there were many families dining. ( I might add with well behaved children!) The pork chops and prime rib were wonderful. I would skip the cherry mule drink next time, and order off the lovely wine menu instead. It is not overpriced."

Always been fans of Welshfield.
Manager was accomadating to a last minute guest. Jenny was awesome!!"
Dined on 2/9/2014
This restaurant is ALWAYS busy! It
is located almost in the middle of nowhere, but is very popular. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is charming as it was once an old inn. We have been there quite a few times for dinner - both in the summer, where we ate outside in the courtyard, and in the winter. The bar seemed to be hopping, too. We actually made reservations for brunch last Easter and we were lucky to get a table in the church next door, which they had purchased to hold weddings and parties. They are known for their brunches, and I can see why. There was a great variety of food selections and everything was delicious."

Our time spent at Welshfield Inn
was Fabulous! From start to finish service, drinks and food was fantastic. A bit disappointed that no one acknowledged my Birthday, as my husband made the reservation and put a special note that is was my birthday. The Great Service and Food more than made up for the oversight of his special request. Would Highly Recommend Welshfield Inn to our friends! :-)"

After traveling all day and
talking about getting dinner we accessed Open Table and made reservations at our "go to" restaurant. We were not let down! Great food and service! Wonderful ambiance of an old Inn. Highly recommend this restaurant!"
Dined on 2/1/2014
The Welshfield Inn is one of our
'go to for special occasions' restaurants. The food and service is always very good. This night however we both got the filet mignon and it was very salty! We have had this many times without a problem. We're hoping it was just an off night."

Can't say enough about the
Welshfield Inn especially since changes made some years ago. I'm a fish fanatic who would prefer a well prepare fish entre over steak any day. It is difficult to find a restaurant that prepares exciting fish entrées consistently well. It is easy to mess up fish (over or under done, etc.) The salmon is always terrific and the Mahi Mahi with sweet chili sauce over garlic mashed potatoes was a Florida vacation in January for me - fresh, bright and very tasty. I enjoyed a nice straight up Martini as well. We enjoyed sharing stories with Jenny our server who took great care of us. Such a gift to have this great restaurant so close to us!"

We have struggled in the past to
find a really good restaurant near Hiram, where our son goes to college. This is it! We had a great experience - very good food, service, and atmosphere."
Dined on 1/17/2014
Really wanted fish on Friday! The
all-you-care-to-eat at the Welshfield Inn beckoned. Inside the room was warm and cozy. Service was prompt. Although the beer-battered cod was a little oily, the flavor was good. A touch of onion in the tartar sauce was nice, too."

The Welshfield Inn and 2/$40 on
Thursday evening is always a very nice dining experience. We enjoyed the quiet and warmth of the fireside room and the music provided by the guitarist added to the ambiance. You can't go wrong!"

great food and serves will return
, well worth the drive"

It takes us an hour to get here
from PA, but it's always worth it. We've never had a meal we didn't love. The filet was wonderful, as was the clam chowder and fiery shrimp appetizer. If we lived closer, we would eat here more often. We highly recommend this restaurant."

My husband is a carnivore and I am
a vegetarian. Welshfield does a great job for both of us! It is a beautiful setting and the outdoor patio is gorgeous in the summer. Highly recommend it!"
Dined on 1/11/2014
I've been to Welshfield Inn often,
for lunch and for dinner. It's consistently delicious food, and great service. The menu is large, and there is a great variety. The service is always excellent, friendly and efficient. I've never had anything but an excellent meal there, and I would recommend it highly to anyone. It's also a lovely setting and they have a great outdoor patio during the summer - can't go wrong there anytime !"

Goog comfort food and great
outdoor dining in the summer."

First-time visit to Welshfield
Inn. Glad I made reservations as there was a waiting list when we got there. Food was excellent!!! Everyone was pleased with their meal. Table accommodated our party of 6 comfortably and even though the restaurant was crowded our service was excellent. All agreed we would come back again."

We went to the Welshfield Inn for
dinner in late fall on a nice, but somewhat chilly, evening. Wanting to enjoy the last of the nice weather in Cleveland, we asked to be seated outdoors since they had large patio heaters out there. The heaters are a wonderful idea, and we enjoyed a very nice dinner on a cool but lovely fall evening. The food was simple, but very good, and the service was excellent. It is located in a small rural area, but makes for a nice drive on a nice evening. Their lunch is also very good."

I had only been there recently for
Sunday brunch, which was excellent. I was anxious to try it for dinner, which was equally as excellent! They were extremely busy with a bust group as well as several holiday parties, which we were not expecting on a Wednesday evening. However, they were calm and very customer service oriented. The food was tremendous. Just a realy nice experience all around. It was also very tastefully decorated for Christmas."

Have been there numerous times
over the past 30 years...never fails to meet my expectations...food solid...staff gracious..ambiance quality..."
Dined on 12/12/2013
We love this place! You can depend
on excellent service, a great selection of menu choices, and, always, delicious food. The atmosphere is cozy in the winter (fireplace) and refreshing (patio) in the summer. The holiday decorations made it the perfect place for a Christmas luncheon."

We are repeat customers. We love
the 2/$40 Thursday evenings dining experience. The appetizers are tasty; the entrees are nicely presented and proportioned. The cinnamon rolls make my mouth water! We are never rushed and thoroughly enjoy our experience. The Driftwood Properties are under good management and appeal to everyone."

We had a wondeful experience at
Welshville Inn last Sunday for brunch. Food was delicious, service wonderful and the request for a round table was very nice to see was waiting for us when we arrived. Reminding us of our reservation and then coming to the table to ask how our meal was completed a wonderful experience."

Friends from out of town love the
Burton area and have fond memories of the Welshfield Inn. So do we. My parents took us annually for special dinners for over 40 years. We have returned occasionally. Even though there have been different owners we have had delicious food. Three out of four of our diners did not enjoy their meals (chicken pot pie, turkey dinner, and mahi mahi). An extra side of maple brussels sprouts was ordered so everyone could try something new. The brussels sprouts were burned. If we would have lodged our complaints with our competent waitress she would not have had time to wait on any other customers. Only one in our party returned her meal. Two more wished they would have."

What better place to be than
Welshfield Inn, dining in front of a roaring fire on a cold, blustery early winter evening. That is what we experienced this past Saturday evening. It was fantastic as always."
Dined on 11/23/2013
First time to the Welshfield Inn
and impression and evening dinning was wonderful. Complimentary champagne was provided to begin our evening. Soft guitar music played in our dinning room. Service and attention from the staff were first class. Have already recommended it to friends and will be returning in the near future."

Excellent food and beautiful
atmosphere. Highly recommended"

A friend suggested we try the
Welshfied Inn which I had never heard of despite living in the area for 20 years. Dining there was a pleasant surprise. The room we were seated in had big exposed wood beams for the ceiling and a large fireplace. I had the beef medallion dish which was cooked perfectly. There isn't a very big cocktail list but the options they do have with wine are sufficient. Restaurant very crowded around 7pm on Sat night, started to clear out a little after 8:30 pm. Definitely plan on a return visit."

The best we could have asked for.
Server was perfection! Love the entire night."

We go out often on Friday nights.
This is one of our favorite spots. Great food and service. A little bit of a drive but well worth the effort."
Dined on 11/15/2013
Went in on a Sunday morning. Very
quick seating, pleasant (not fake) greetings from the folks there. Since the word "brunch" was bantered about, I expected a traditional all you can eat brunch. Turned out it was a specialized brunch menu, with both breakfast and lunch items. Almost started to get a bit disappointed, but the food was absolutely better than your normal brunch. Wife and I had a great experience. Service was great without being smothering. Good times (and I'm not easy to please
