Diner Reviews
  • "We have enjoyed a few meals, and always order the same thing. The only thing that was a let down, was the Mac n cheese. Was the recipe changed? Not as good as prior visits."

  • "Webster has, and will remain Kalamazoo's premiere dining experience. Stefan Johnson makes certain that the experience of dining at Webster's is always something to remember."

  • "Went for the first time to Webster's Prime for Valentine's Day! Was impressed first by the ambience, the layout was very nice great seating arrangements! The food was outstanding, beautiful presentation and an overall wonderful first time experience. The staff and service was equally delightful. Would definitely refer others to this great find in fine dining..."

  • "Had a very nice 4 course menu planned for Valentine's Day. Food was delicious. Food came out at a very nice pace. Was not rushed at all. Was a very nice romantic evening."

  • "We are regulars at Webster's and consider it to be one of the best restaurants in Kalamazoo. It has moved down a level in the past few years due to the business climate and we would like to see it move back to its previous level of service and food quality. The Valentine Day meal was good but not excellent. The lobster bisque had a definite mushroom soup base taste and my wife's steak was not cooked to order. I was also disappointed that the beef is definitely USDA choice and not prime. The wine list definitely needs to be updated. We love Webster's and will continue as regulars but we tend to be very discriminating in our expectations."

  • "I eat out a lot so it takes a great deal for me to be fully satisfied but Webster's his the mark. Every single person we came into contact with was pleasant, cheerful and attentive. Everyone wished me a happy birthday. The food, every single bite of it, was simply beyond words. Quality food prepared by carrying, quality chefs and served by people who truly care about your experience. The evening was beyond reproach and helped make my 30th birthday one to remember!"

  • "The food was excellent. The steak was like butter."

  • "The hostess was so welcoming and friendly. She immediately engaged us in pleasant conversation. We had time to get comfortable and be seated before we greeted by the server. She was wonderful. She also was very professional and able to answer the questions we had regarding the menu. She was prompt with removing our dishes once we were finished. Also, the hostess and the waitress were very kind in remembering my husbands birthday and they seemed genuinely happy to serve us."

  • "At Webster's Prime the food was top notch. I had a porterhouse and my wife had the scallops. Everything was prepared in an amazing manner. However, the best thing about this restaurant was the service. Overall it may have been the best service I have had at any dining establishment in my life."

  • "Returned for my birthday. Second time going since our anniversary. House cut was very good last time. Steak wasn't cooked as well this time around. Waiter said they were training a new cook. Steak is our primary reason for returning to Webster's Prime."

  • "I found the steakhouse worth going to. Webster's Prime had excellent service, excellent food, and excellent atmosphere. So what can I say beyond it is an excellent place to go. I see it being good for family, romance, business, or great steak on a whim."

  • "The food is good enough for Chef Ramsey to be proud of. This is the place we will come to everytime we have a special occasion to celebrate."

  • "So very disappointed ~ food was bland and not good at all. Food was returned and overall poor meal ~ very pricey and not good - bad combination."

  • "My husband and I go to Websters once a year on our anniversary and we look forward to it the next time we dine as soon as our last bite of steak is finished. It is honestly the slowest we ever eat because you can't help but savor each bite. From the appetizers to the dessert the experience is unforgettable and you will have the best meal of your life. I recommend the tenderloin, my husband recommends the ribeye and we both loved the cheese appetizer and/or the beef appetizer. Amazing!!"

  • "The menu has changed but it hasn't lost any quality. Quite the contrary, it's gotten better (and I didn't think that was possible). The Waygu beef was amazing. And the sides!!! The sweet potato was to die for and the asparagus was done to perfection. As always, the service was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend my birthday than dining with my friends at Webster's. We topped off the evening by coming back after the show we attended for a nightcap in the lounge listening to wonderful music. Anyone who thinks Kalamazoo doesn't have fine dining is sadly mistaken. I just got back from Chicago today and Webster's ranks right up there with any place I have ever been to in Chicago (and I've been to many since I grew up there)."

  • "Dinner for 2 for a special birthday celebration for my wife. We were seated in a quieter part of the restaurant which enhanced the ambiance. She was wished a 'Happy Birthday' by staff throughout the evening. The pace was not rushed and we were made to feel like welcomed friends. The appetizers, soup and entree's were perfectly prepared and presented. Dessert was also fantastic. I had a delicious cheesecake. My wife had creme brûlée served on a large plate with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate! We also tremendously enjoyed the piano entertainment during the dining hour. Overall, just a fantastic experience and a memorable, relaxing and romantic birthday!"

  • "Food quality and preparation has declined during the four year annual visits to this restaurant that I have made. Will choose another restaurant next October."

  • "This was our first experience at Webster's. I felt the waiter could have done a better job explaining the menu, specials etc...I listened to another waitress and she did a great job explaining everything to her guests. I don't know....I would not say I won't go back, but it didn't make me think, "I have got to come back here.""

  • "We were staying near the lake shore in SW Michigan, and were tiring of the chain and tourist places, so logged into OT ... finding Webster's Prime, just a 40 mile trip each way! Once we realized it was in the Radisson, it was easy to find. We were not disappointed, this is not your run of the mill hotel restaurant. The service was great, the wine list varied (and the waiter knowledgeable about their wines) and the food was superb. We both had steaks, which were excellent and tender ... the best we've had recently. We even splurged on their Michigan desert, with two spoons! It was a quiet evening, just two or three other tables of diners, but we didn't feel rushed. Great place ... Bravo!"
