I had the filet mignon oscar. It was cooked exactly the way I ordered it. My husbands pork chop was delicious and my sons new york strip was grilled the way he wanted. I thought we were going to a casual little place to have lunch. It was warm & welcoming with a few different rooms, fireplaces, a porch with a view and the food was outstanding. Weber Grill is not for everyone. It is a bit PRICEY, but you get what you pay for as the meal was delicious. Our table was perfect for the group, not crowded, and we could all easily converse. The food choices, both from the regular menu and specials, were great...something for everyone...and each person raved about their meal. I ordered the scallop special and have never had scallops prepared that good. Our server was excellent...knew just when to be at the table with whatever we needed...yet was not overbearing. His knowledge of the menu was vauable in making our selections. Other entrees ordered were the meatloaf, chicken and mahi mahi...all were enjoyed and no complaints from anyone. Noise was high. Our server was friendly but rushed. The food still came out hot and in a timely fashion and was very good. Steak kebobs as an appetizer were perfect on a bed of onion rings. All of our entrees from chicken to steak were well cooked and good. The one dessert was tasty. We were seated at the very first booth inside the door so there was a lot of foot traffic around our table. Of course, it was Saturday night and we learned that this restaurant is very popular on Saturday nights.
That being said, the food was outstanding and our server, Melissa did a wonderful job. We will be back but might consider another time, like lunch, when the restaurant is not so crowded.2/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
