  • "This was our 3rd dinner at the Wayne Steakhouse in the last year, and it was the best yet. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and really understood the menu. We always start with oysters which were super fresh and delicious. My son and I shared the steak for two. The contrast of the different cuts was very enjoyable, a perfect medium rare, and full of flavor. Some people on here have complained about the prices. But you have to compare their prices to other steakhouses, and I don't mean Outback. When you factor in you can bring your own wine, Wayne Steakhouse is probably the best value in the area in what I would call the premium steakhouse category."

  • "Outrageously High Priced Food. Once we sat down and looked at the prices we were tempted to leave . But we decided to skip the highly overpriced appetizers and just get dinner. The dinner prices are not only way overpriced but they are not accompanied by sides the side orders are Ala Carte and were too overpriced to purchase. So we settled on a Steak and Chicken. The Chicken was so dry my Wife left half of it . The steak was very good but not for the size and price. My wife had water with her meal and I had a "small" class of Coke that cost me $4.00. Because our dinners were so expensive we opted out of dessert. A total waste of money."

  • "This was my first visit to the Wayne Steakhouse. Tucked in a pseudo strip-mall right off of the Hamburg Turnpike, the Wayne Steakhouse is an intimate but wowing experience. Four in our party, we order 3 16 oz. Filet Mignons and a Rib Eye all cooked to different degrees. As for appetizers, we ordered the Scallops and the Stuffed Mushrooms. Both dishes were spectacular and well sized for a group of four to share. The steaks arrived sizzling and were cooked perfectly. The fried onions (like Onion Rings, but not as heavy) were an amazing accompaniment to the beef. We ordered (and split) a side of sauteed Broccoli and the Creamed Spinach, both done very nicely. The cheesecake, Pecan Pie, Key Lime Pie, and apple strudel were also winners."

  • "I read reviews from several sites and was rather confused so we decided to try it. It was very good, my ribeye steak was awesome and my wife's filet mignon was great. Salad was very nice and did not need any sides except we did order the sauted spinach which was very good. I had the onion rings which comes with you dinner, a little greasy but enjoyable. Not a restaurant for an everyday meal but for an important or romantic dinner it is well worthit! Steak is never cheap!!!"

  • "Dining at wayne steakhouse with my husband on valentines day was a massive let down. We had an 8:15 reservation & while we expect it to be crowded and a little crazy on a holiday, we did not expect the service and food to be so subpar.Once seated, it took over 15 minutes for a server to introduce himself and take a drink order. We were seated around 8:30 and ordered by 9 however we didn't get our food until 10:30!! We watched numerous other couples who were seated after us order, get served, finish and pay before we ever saw our meals. The filet was undercooked & fatty, the lobster SO over cooked it was in edible, even the mashed potatoes had zero seasoning. Only positive was the kind older man who served us bread. Never returning!"

  • "My wife and I went there for Valentines Day and as you may have guessed, it was super crowded. No place to wait for a table, people have to stand in a 4 foot by 4 foot foyer area and wait patiently. It gets claustrophobic very fast. Since its BYOB there is no bar to hang out at. We had the calamari and clams casino as apps. Calamari was not crisp and the sauce tasted like it came from a jar. The clams casino was just average at best. The clams were plump and fresh but the breading was soggy and wet. Strange but it was edible. Steak was excellent and that saved the night! The german potatoes were like the hash browns you get at the local diner. Nothing special. The onion rings were a notch a above that but not by much."

  • "We had reservations on a busy Friday night and got stuck waiting a half hour anyway. The food was good however it was very expensive. We were told there was surf and turf special (no price quoted). Without any drinks at all and without any thing other than three portions of surf and turf our check including tip was $370. Sorry but $123 per person for an entree is crazy. I think the lowest price steak on the menu was about $50 or so. Now wonder the on line menu has no prices. NOTE: If you are going to have specials you should tell customers the price without having them ask. Telling the price allows dinners to make a choice. Thinking customers are going to ask meal prices with a date is not realistic, we will not be back again."

  • "The food was good, even reheated at home. However, the service was fast food. We were done in under an hour. We had to ask for bread. The appetizer, which was hot came at the same time as my salad. As soon as those plates were whisked away my dinner showed up. There was no time to breath and relax and enjoy the meal. There was no ambiance and for the price of the meal, I expected more. I even had to refill my own wine glass. I did appreciate that a salad and onions came to with the meal."

  • "My wife and I love going to Wayne Steakhouse for the porterhouse steaks. They are always cooked to perfection and we never fail to enjoy them every time we come. The salad that comes with the steaks is delicious as well as the onion bread. Their desserts are amazing. Honestly, we like to just order the porterhouse for two as this is plenty of food for two people. Weekends are always busy and the noise level is high but weekdays are quiet and less hectic. I highly recommend Wayne Steakhouse."

  • "After reading the reviews on line I was highly disappointed with our experience. The place was clean and had a relaxed atmosphere. It was very slow however we felt rushed. To start out as the waiter was pouring my water he missed the glass, I got water and ice down my back. Lobster Bisque appetizer, flavor good but too watery. 16 oz. Filet was not cooked properly and had to be sent back. The lobster on the surf and turf was over cooked and the filet ordered black and blue was black on the outside but more medium on the inside. For the $$$ we paid it was not worth it at all. I would have expected food to perfection and exceptional service and why they handed us a bag of tomatoes on the way out still has us puzzled. Nice gesture I guess."

  • "This is a small neighborhood restaurant so it's looks are deceiving and if you don't scope out it's "hidden" location before hand, you might have trouble finding it, but once inside you can tell you're going to be treated very well. We were there on New Year's Eve and the atmosphere was hopping but we were happy with a somewhat private table for two along the wall. We even got seated exactly at or reservation time, no wait. The food here was excellently prepared. I had steak and my spouse had the Chilean sea bass. Be aware that the restaurant is BYOB and the prices here are ala carte, as in most steak houses, so prices tend to be a little high, but the experience was well worth it. Two thumbs up. Will definitely return."

From the moment we were seated to the second we left the waiters were there for every need.My wife and I ,both enjoyed the filet,and we shared a jumbo shrimp cocktail and the best stuffed mushrooms we ever had.We tried to skip dessert,but the owner sent over a fantastic whip cream and strawberries dish. a perfect ending to a fantastic year."

Steaks were good but the surf and turf was a big disappointment...the the lobster was very rubbery and I was shocked when we were charged $90.00 for it! For a party of 5 our bill was $327.00 before tip and $400.00 with tip! Outrageous! We had ONE appetizer of the scallops and bacon and ONE side of spinach. We had 3 desserts and NO beverages as we brought our own wine. The steaks were good but we have had very good steaks elsewhere for much less. The meal should not have been more than $40.00-$45.00 pp especially as a BYOB."

  • "The steaks are great. ! The service is excellent. It's a nice touch that the steak comes out on a sizzling plate and it's cut into strips already. When the staff puts the plates on the table they serve a few slices onto your plate. Also nice that all sides are family style and served onto your plate as well. Basically a whole team comes to your table and serves everyone the first round of food. All the portions are huge... No. I mean huge!!! We had the porterhouse for two and couldn't finish it. Our teen sons split the filet and hardly finished it. It is very expensive, but you get what you pay for. If you want an average steak for $15, go to outback. Also Byob."

  • "This was my first time dining here, and everyone in my party loved it here! The salad that comes with the meal is so great---it has an amazing "secret" vinaigrette that was to die for. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, although it wasn't sizzling by the time it got to our table. The sides were excellent, we had the German potatoes and sauteed spinach and garlic---both were excellent. The pecan pie was decadent and delicious, and strawberries and cream were good for a lighter dessert. Having a BYOB really helps cut the price, we all thought it was an excellent value and we will all definitely be back! Great dining experience~"

We were not seated until 9:30. We had to ask for bread and had to ask for wine glasses (which were being washed). So dissapointed in All but food.   • "My first experience at Wayne steakhouse was heavenly to say the least, from the bacon to the amazing bone in rib eye I was in food heaven!My husband had the bone in filet and broiled lobster tail that was cooked to perfection. Price wise it was worth the extra buck bc it was a byob.recommend anyone in Nj to try Wayne steakhouse,being from NYC I thought nothing would be better than Peter Lugers but Wayne steakhouse is a household name for Nj I enjoyed the service all the staff served us together from our appetizers to dessert!The home made key lime pie was the perfect ending to my perfect meal,truly love that Nj finally has a steakhouse with amazing steak!The waiters and waitresses gave great service!"

  • "My husband loves Schlage. When I made the reservation I requested Schlage be available. Wayne Steak House made sure it was there for us all (5). We started with bacon strips that remind me great tasting chorizo. Our rib eye steaks were perfection. The creamed spinach was the best I've had...light, while still creamy and flavored with just the right amount of garlic. The cheese cake was rich and not heavy at all. And the cappuccino was so good that I took the remainder with me when we had to leave before I had finished it. Oh yeah...we'll be back again."
