The choice the chefs made for the Mother's Day exceeded our expectations. The service was as wonderful as always, not rushed even though it was a holiday and servers were kept especially busy. Two of us opted for the $20 steak special and 1 had the Rib eye with a large baked potato. We all started with salads that were well prepared and tasted great. Steaks were all cooked properly except for 1 which was undercooked and had to be sent back to get a Medium temp. Service was great as we had Frederick for our waiter and he had an attentive buser helping him. We were treated really well, and were made comfortable by our server and his busser. The only problem we had was that the food came out a little faster than it should have, leaving us with extra plates on the table and feeling hurried.
On the other hand, the food was wonderful and reasonable and the server was very nice to us. I found a really nice bottle of wine that was underpriced, and it was delightful. The ambiance was serene, the service excellent and our food was perfection!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMPeaceful Elegant DiningThere are so many Family Dining restaurants in town that offer good food, but you always have to deal with a high noise level, screaming and or crying babies and young children. Waverly's offers a warm, peaceful and inviting atmosphere with high quality food and service. The prices are the same as an Outback type restaurant with much more ambiance. No conga lines or sing-a-longs for birthdays. Just the offer of an amazing piece of cake.
The Sirloin dinner special came with Salad, Main course with Steak, potatoes and vegetables and a great chocolate cake as dessert. All for $20.00! Best deal in town.
