I went there for dinner with my wife and Mom. The service and ambiance was excellent. The food, with the EXCEPTION of their specialty, mussels, was very good. We ordered 2 pots of mussels and were extremely disappointed. The broth was very tasty but the mussels had virtually no meat in the shells. Some of them had no meat in them. I thought the meat might have fallen to the bottom of the pot, but that was not the case. I left the restaurant hungry and went home and made myself a sandwich.

great local place. They have the outdoor seating area lit up nicely. Though it's not super fancy, it's cozy and a nice place for a fun meal with SOs or friends. Their frites and Moule pots are great as advertised. Great Belgian beer list and prices are fair. Our server, Chris, was a great and elevated the experience of the restaurant.

Despite being RW, Waterzooi's Special Menu was really great and offered a wonderful variety of their best entre's and Moules Pots! They are really good about honoring the OT Reservations which is a big plus and a good reason to reserve thru it.

Menu has an unsual diversity. Alot of different types of mussel pots(2.5 lbs. in each). Alot of Rich foods. Fondue bland, Bistro burger while ended up being good was initially cooked poorly and had to be sent back. However, Best frites I have ever eaten, with the exception of in France!

Overall, a great place to eat. The staff is polite and courteous. The food, as always was excellent. I will return as I have been for many years. Being of Belgian descent, Waterzooi is a credit to the heritage. Go, eat, enjoy. And always a very nice dining experience. 2 thumbs up! Ray. Mill Neck NY

Food was excellent but the service was slow. The mussels are amazing! The paella was a tad salty. Appetizers off of the tasting menu weren't amazing - if you're going, stick to the main menu.

The food was amazing and the restaurant looked like a trip back to Europe. I really enjoyed the appetizers. The lobster bisque was fantastic and the special appetizer of fresh mozzarella and tomatoes was one of the best I ever had. My husband had the mussels oreganata and it was amazing. My sea bass was good. The only problem we had was my son's burger was not cooked enough. You have the end with the Belgian waffles. They are the best!

My husband asked our waiter for a recommendation of beers. The waiter was very impatient to explain atleast 3 different kind of beers, he said what do u want the red bottle the blue bottle beer or the other color? We asked him politely what are the difference? He looked at me like hes so confused of my questioned. He was ok with serving the main course but when we asked to box our leftover he was ok to do it but when he returned to our table he put the huge paper bag in the middle of the table. While we are having dessert. Great!!!!

Every bit of food we consumed which included lobster mac&cheese, escargot, onion soup and braised beef tenderloin was delicious, but the star of the show was, without question, the moules frite. Pots of mussels on most of the tables were devoured with baskets of bread to sop up the variety of available sauces. What a delightful experience!

Also single booths for couples on a date . The beer menu on Monday evening is fantastic ! Each course comes with a beer pairing . Between the awful acoustics of the main room and the crying babies, the restaurant was chaotic. The server was good, recommending a few ideas for wine selection and food specialties. The food came out promptly, although the appetizer of shrimp cocktail was scant, only 4 shrimp. The mussels were delicious, and we shared our bucket and still took a portion home.

This restaurant is not what it used to be. The restaurant needs a facelift and eating outside with bees is not pleasant. We asked for an inside table, it felt like an inconvenience. The wait-staff is pleasant enough, yet somewhat condescending and the servers just reach over you to clear the tables!?! The food was okay. However, I remember it having more pop...the mussels were barely seasoned and the French fries tasted reheated. This is the 2nd time I have felt this way. One more chance Waterzooi or you will fade into my memories 😗

It's a little loud because of the layout of the place but overall the food and service are both very good. They have a great beer/wine/special drink menu. I had the crab cake appetizer, only complaint was they weren't big enough, so delicious. Main course I had the steak, another winner. We'll definitely be back.

My wife and I came to waterzooi for our first wedding anniversary for brunch. We kept it simple and had a waffle w/fixings and chipotle BBQ burgers for our entree. We dined outside and although it was a warm day, this didn't detract from the experience and great food and service . Saturday was my first time going to Waterzoii after hearing so many great things about the place. The decor was on point to a Belgium restaurant. The beer menu is a book with about a hundred options. The wine was phenomenal. But their food was absolutely amazing. The mussels and fries taste like the ones in Belgium. The mayo that accompanied the fries was out of this world. And the service was great. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and full of recommendations. Great experience.CaCannot wait to go back.

An evening with girlfriends, first time experience for all. Greetings were very cordial, very welcoming. Tara, our server, was very patient, pleasant and knowledgeable, and all the wait staff was most efficient and courteous. A lovely wine, cocktail, beer and beverage list. Mussels prepared in every possible style and most delicious. An appetizer and pot of mussels is more that enough food for anyone, but the menu of entrees also looked very inviting; maybe next time. The only drawback was that the room is more than a bit noisy, but we ladies managed to keep up our conversation nonetheless. All in all, a really nice evening.

Dinner was definitely worth a repeat visit. We happened to dine on a night when they had their mussels special, which included appetizer, mussels and dessert. As we were dining, we noticed a lot of people not eating their dessert which found later to be because there was simply a lot of food consumed and little room for dessert. The mussels were prepared well and we got a variety of sauces. There are more than enough mussels for one person. Appetizers were good but as previously mentioned, we passed on the desserts. Beer selection is excellent with a wide variety of uncommon beers. Service was very good but noise was at an amplified level with tables being close together.

I had made a reservation and walked in... to a server who said the kitchen is closed. I am new to the app, so I thought there was a mix-up. Turns out our reservation was upheld, and they seated us right away! So cool! ANY of the muscles pots are AMAZING, and you MUST try the sweet potato gnocchi. I dream about it. Seriously. It's crazy good, great balance of textures between the roasty potato gnocchi, creamy sauce, pops of peas and succulent sausage. Do yourself a favor and go here tomorrow.

If you like mussels this is the place to go. There is a price fixed special Sunday - Wednesday. There were eight different mussels on the price fixed. Two of the four do not eat mussels and they had a beef dish. The portions are enough to eat there and bring home for another meal. Had the lobster croquettes as an appetizer and Chocolate Mousse. Both were great. When we arrived it was empty and when we left it was crowded and getting a little noisy. Our wattress Jessica was great. Will be going back there soon.
