My wife and I came to waterzooi for our first wedding anniversary for brunch. We kept it simple and had a waffle w/fixings and chipotle BBQ burgers for our entree. We dined outside and although it was a warm day, this didn't detract from the experience and great food and service . My wife had been there once before and this was my first time and we'll be dining there again.

Saturday was my first time going to Waterzoii after hearing so many great things about the place. The decor was on point to a Belgium restaurant. The beer menu is a book with about a hundred options. The wine was phenomenal. But their food was absolutely amazing. The mussels and fries taste like the ones in Belgium. The mayo that accompanied the fries was out of this world. And the service was great. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and full of recommendations. Great experience.CaCannot wait to go back.

An evening with girlfriends, first time experience for all. Greetings were very cordial, very welcoming. Tara, our server, was very patient, pleasant and knowledgeable, and all the wait staff was most efficient and courteous. A lovely wine, cocktail, beer and beverage list. Mussels prepared in every possible style and most delicious. An appetizer and pot of mussels is more that enough food for anyone, but the menu of entrees also looked very inviting; maybe next time. The only drawback was that the room is more than a bit noisy, but we ladies managed to keep up our conversation nonetheless. All in all, a really nice evening.

Dinner was definitely worth a repeat visit. We happened to dine on a night when they had their mussels special, which included appetizer, mussels and dessert. As we were dining, we noticed a lot of people not eating their dessert which found later to be because there was simply a lot of food consumed and little room for dessert. The mussels were prepared well and we got a variety of sauces. There are more than enough mussels for one person. Appetizers were good but as previously mentioned, we passed on the desserts. Beer selection is excellent with a wide variety of uncommon beers. Service was very good but noise was at an amplified level with tables being close together.

I had made a reservation and walked in... to a server who said the kitchen is closed. I am new to the app, so I thought there was a mix-up. Turns out our reservation was upheld, and they seated us right away! So cool! ANY of the muscles pots are AMAZING, and you MUST try the sweet potato gnocchi. I dream about it. Seriously. It's crazy good, great balance of textures between the roasty potato gnocchi, creamy sauce, pops of peas and succulent sausage. Do yourself a favor and go here tomorrow.

If you like mussels this is the place to go. There is a price fixed special Sunday - Wednesday. There were eight different mussels on the price fixed. Two of the four do not eat mussels and they had a beef dish. The portions are enough to eat there and bring home for another meal. Had the lobster croquettes as an appetizer and Chocolate Mousse. Both were great. When we arrived it was empty and when we left it was crowded and getting a little noisy. Our wattress Jessica was great. Will be going back there soon.

Amazing mussels with a large choice of traditional and unique recipes. This was my third visit, I have ordered the "Farmhouse Ale" every time. (I have actually dreamt of that flavor after eating there.) A huge beer menu with very accurate descriptions on tap and bottles focused on Belgium made but many great choices from other locals. Other very notable items, Rib Stuk and the crispy fries & dip that come with the mussels. If you have ever had a real Belgian waffle you know the batter has to be made a day in advance so the batter fills with bubbles and when you cook them the next day they are so lite, airy and crisp on the outside.. Yeah they make "those" for brunch, lunch, dinner and dessert!

The food and wait service at Waterzooi was excellent as always we were very disappointed by our treatment by the person who seated us. She made no effort to accommodate our request for a booth and gave a walk-in the booth we asked about after the people who requested it cancelled (we found out when we left). We sat through our meal feeling like we'd been lied to. It wouldn't have been a big deal to move to that table but it wasn't offered to us. At any rate, it left a bad feeling at a restaurant we've been eating at for over 14 years.

We had an enjoyable dinner get-together with friends who had not been in touch for a while, so the restaurant was good at allowing us to sit and catch up. The service was very good, we had a nice table, half in/half out. Not too noisy. I understand mussels are the primary food here, but I was in the mood for a lobster roll and it was a bit disappointing. The fries it came with were excellent. My table mates enjoyed their dinners - crab lump salad and chicken. A good evening with good friends.

After taking out a co-worker for lunch on his last day, everyone invited was absolutely blown away at the terrific beer selection and different menu choices! So, for a combined Father's Day and birthday celebration I made a reservation for last Sunday for my own family. Once again the menu offerings and beer and wine selection satisfied everyone in the party. The appetizers are different: lobster croquettes, sweet potato gnocchi, and escargot was outstanding. The crab mixed salad was light, fresh, subtly flavorful. And the mussel pots were tender, squeaky clean, flavorful and exciting! Thank you, Waterzooi!

Before dining at Waterzooi, I was not a huge fan of mussels. Well, this place converted me as the mussels are to die for! For starters we had the salmon flatbread which we devoured, and for our entree ordered the Moules Pot (pot of mussels) with Paella. Each cast-iron pot contains at least 2 1/2 lbs. of mussels enough for even the heartiest appetite. Each mussel was tender and tasty. We finished our meal with the Creme Brulee which was as delicious as I enjoyed in Paris. Highly recommend this bistro and will be returning soon for the weekday specials.
