Waterzooi Belgian Bistrobest moules ever!I love this restaurant! Their moules pots are huge and delicious. Staff is very knowledgeble and nice. Great selection of Belgian and other beers. Been here 5 times and it never failed with food or otherwise. This time we took our 22-month old with us, and there were more young kids. They were served with jasmine rice with flavors and pineapple topped with jumbo lump crab meat. We also had oysters and a pot of mussels. Perfect day for the pretty and peaceful outdoor patio. Service was excellent , both my omelet and friends mussels were attractively presented and absolutely delicious. It is one of my favorite restaurants to frequent. My entire table ordered "Mussel Mania", which is a three course meal for $21. There are two choice of starters, both of which are fabulous, many different types of mussel choices, and a mousse dessert. We each very much enjoyed our meals, and found ourselves having many more mussels then we needed. It was a fabulous meal, and I find the earlier time of day (6 PM reservation) to be relaxing and quiet. The mussels were delicious as were the two selections chosen by the two who didn't order Mussels. The staff was truly exceptional. A few items were priced a bit high, but the Mussel special is well priced. The food was excellent as usual, service was great as well. The only thing I wish was that it was less noisy, but that is to be expected in such a large dining area at such a busy time. I had the French onion soup and wife had the lobster bisque to start. Both were loaded with flavor but paled in comparison to the main course. My "rib stuk" which was a massive braised short rib was off the charts. Serving was huge and could be cut with a spoon. Wife has the equally enjoyable lamb chops over mashed potatoes. Of course, we had the mussel pots... as were most of our co-diners. The mussels were outstanding and all three generations in our party thoroughly enjoyed them.

Lots of tantalizing choices of sauces for the pots of mussels. The frites are crispy & not greasy, with a delicious herbed mayo dip. They have a mid week 3 course special on mussels for $19.95 that can't be beat. The mussel portion is tremendous, the preparation is excellent, and the only slight negative is that the mussels themselves are very small. But you can't beat it for the money.
