  • "Everything was amazing, the food was delicious, the view was beautiful, the wine was perfect and the service was outstanding. Definitely will go back!"

  • "Me and my girlfriend came to The Water's Edge to celebrate her birthday. From the moment we entered to restaurant we weren't disappointed. The lobster dumplings were absolutely delicious. My girlfriend had filet mignon with asparagus while i had duck with risotto. The dishes combined with the red and white wines complemented our dishes very well. It was my first experience at a restaurant of this caliber and i will never forget it. I cannot wait for the next time i go back to The Water's Edge."

  • "Bit of a factory location, but the restaurant boast a wonderful view of the city from the east river and the meal was very good. Pricey compared to other locations in the area minus the view, however besides that the ambience and the service was better than most restaurants I have visited."

  • "Food was amazing wine was delish. Entrees were cooked perfectly. And dessert oh my it was almost better than the view. Service was excellent. Great night great ambience. Had a window seat at 9pm with all the city lights in full effect. Very very romantic."

  • "Food and atmosphere are very good but our waiter kinda ruined it with the attitude. The molten lava cake was very disappointing as it came out like a brownie. We tried to communicate with the waiter but his response was , " that's how it is...."..."

  • "Thanks to all the staff and especially the manager Haleem (I hope I spelled it right) This was my first time there which was celebrating my wedding anniversary I am an experienced diner from the nyc area and they really got everything right from beginning to end I will definitely return its an awesome spot which is way beyond the great view of the city even the piano player Bill was great and played a request ,check this place out you'll love it !"

  • "The view of the City is incredible, and the prices are decent, but the atmosphere is very so-so. The food was prepared decently and with care, but it seems marginal products were used in production and so the final result is only marginal as well."

  • ""I loved the relaxed feel of the restaurant which is like a comfortable dining room in a friends home but with an outstanding view of Manhattan. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Service was well-timed and friendly. Awesome Raspberry Cheesecake."

  • "I enjoyed my dining at Water's Edge. Food, including desserts, was delicious. The view is splendid. Service was great. I highly recommended."

  • "We made a reservation for a late lunch, which was perfect. The restaurant was practically empty which was great, for a lunch meeting - no interruptions. The food and service was amazing. They had a great variety for restaurant week. I ordered the clam chowder with sweet potatoes…simply divine. The raspberry cheesecake was different, I did not care for the mousse but the cheesecake was delicious!"

  • "I treated my brother to a birthday luncheon, his first time, not mine. He loved it, and was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance and then the view, oh what a view! The staff was very attentive and the food was delicious. Thanks for everything WE."

  • "The location is far from subway, but you get a great view of Manhattan skyline. The food was not so good. I had an expensive surf and turf that was average. My husband had a "risotto" that was not good. The salad was super salty, as was much of the food. The servers were kind and polite, but I probably won't be going back."

  • "What we ordered- Appetizers - Crispy Pork Belly (4/5) --> The best dish during dinner - Wedge Salad (2/5) --> 38$ pre-fixe and the greens were iceberg lettuce. While it was good, I couldn't help but think how much better it would have tasted with either mixed/field greens or arugula Main Entree - Maple Miso Glazed Wild Salmon (3/5) --> Salmon was good, Soba noodles were horrifyingly mushy - Braised Lamb Shank (3/5) --> Overcooked, not tender Dessert - Hazelnut Mouse Cake (4/5) --> Yummy! - Raspberry Cheesecake (2/5) --> Better off buying from a supermarket - Crème Brulee (3/5) --> Custard was mediocre Overall- If it weren't for the views/ambiance, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Overpriced food but good service."

  • "My sister and I took our mother and Aunt there for their birthday and had a wonderful time. The service was excellent, the food was impeccable and when the dessert came, they had placed candles in the chocolate mousse and sang to my Mom and Aunt. They loved it!!!. They had the Salmon and I had the Chicken. Fantastic. I had been there before so I knew. First time for my Mom Aunt and sister and I know they will be back."

  • "over priced food, mediocre ambience, poor service. Our waiter smelled like he just came out of gym. The food was sub par. They served me burnt pork belly. Maybe they thought that I might not be able to recognize the burnt bottom since the inside of restaurant was so dark. My lamb shank tasted like…cardboard boxes. Dessert? The menu said "raspberry cheesecake? but it was a raspberry mousse dome. I am not going back to this restaurant for sure."

  • "The scenic views of the water was amazing. The service was great. I have to make it out there again for the summer, I cannot wait! The food was great too!"

  • "I took my fiancee to dinner here because she has been dying to go for as long as I can remember. The lead in street is deceptive as you seemly are driving down a dark alley. Once inside the view and the ambiance is in stark contrast to the neighborhood surroundings. The service was polite, attentive and very professional. The food was very good, I wouldn't say outstanding but certainly was delicious. Overall it was a great experience, my only qualm was when leaving, there were no taxis and the maitre'd called a black car which cost nearly double what the taxi cost us to get there."

  • "Came to Waters Edge whilst on a trip to NY from London. Spent our last night in the restaurant and it was the perfect setting. It is a bit of a walk from the nearest subway and a dark quiet one at that so taxis are advised. However, once there the ambiance was gorgeous and the soft jazz complimented the bright lights of the Manhattan backdrop view. Food itself was also great we ate from the Restaurant Week menu. Had Clam Chowder, Lamb Shank and Creme Brule. All cooked perfectly. The meat on the Lamb shank practically fell off the bone. We ordered cocktails to drink at the waiters were very attentive. The cocktails (Manhattan's) were extremely strong, you got your money's worth."

  • "I looked up a few places to check out for dinner to enjoy for restaurant week in the Queens area....This was a great choice. The skyline view of the city was amazing. I attended on a Tuesday so the restaurant was relatively quiet. The three course meal choice was very delicious. My friend and I would definitely attend here again....even with the little distant walk(about 8 minutes from the train....though we drove). Very romantic."

  • "An excited week of waiting turn to a disaster of a night. First Valet is really slow n you cant just park. The the entrance is very confusing and no one there to lead you to restaurant. This place is more of a party hall not a restaurant. we were seated immediately. great view fast service food was ok but not worth the price. after we left it took forever to get my car back and then I come to find, My driving sunglasses were stolen by valet. so treat this place like your going to a shady part of town hide your belongings. Dont wasteyour time here its NYC there way better place."

  • "I had lunch at Water's Edge. I love this place for it's beautiful view overlooking the city, but have not been there in a few years. The food was bland, the plates were nicely decorated though, the atmosphere was ok. We had the calamari, which was sweet and dry, overfried. We had a salad, which had no dressing on it. We had the buckwheat pasta with salmon, nothing special. For desert, we had vanilla creme brulee and chocolate mouse. The creme brulee had lots of sugar on top, we actually had to scrape it off. The sugar was not melted, it was quite a turn off."

  • "My brother dined at this restaurant for his anniversary last year and he and his wife loved it. Therfore, I took my younger sister to Water's Edge for her birthday. We both loved that atmosphere, the food and the service and wanted to return the next night. However I plan on going back on February 28th, 2014 and in August for my birthday. Love, love, love the food and the staff."

  • "We went for Restaurant Week (2/21) and the menu was very nice, all three courses were delish and the city views are just to die for. I will definitely be coming back when its warm enough to sit outside."

  • "Grade pending!! The Waters edge was one of the destination restaurants. We got married there 15 years ago and it was wonderful. We went for my husbands birthday last week and were very disappointed. The valet guy did a good job of hiding the grade pending sign so we didn't even see it until we left. They sat us near the door so we had to ask to be moved. Food was ok. It's still a beautiful plAce but also to have the entire wait staff to have middle eastern accents didn't help matters. We made the best of it but won't go back there again. Sad."

  • "I took my girlfriend for Valentines Day. They had a price fixed menu in place. The rate was reasonable and the food was excellent. But to be honest I still walked out of there somewhat hungry. The portion size left a bit to be desired. They were even a bit stingy with the bread. For those prices I do not ever expect to walk out hungry. I would return, but maybe for brunch."

  • "Anniversary went great. Food was good, view was amazing, Impressed the F%&& out of her. Romantic plus great spot to have dinner, talk and just be into each other. Kinda expensive but hey, why not once in a while. Service was great, parking lot could of been more organized there were cars parked in every direction."

  • "So I brought the fiance to celebrate our 5 year dating anniversary, and I have to say the view is stunning....That being said - the food was not all that great, in fact a great let down. Service was great and they were attentive, but we ordered the steak and the wellington...needless to say I don't think it was worth the money. If your looking for a good view in a sketchy area this is for you, but if you want good food and a good view - might not be for you!"
