The intimate Spencer Alcove can host up to 18 guests for private wine dinner. The Captains Landing with floor-to-ceiling windows can host a breathtaking lunch for up to 30 guests. We also have three ballrooms and other social function spaces to accommodate from 15 to 350, many with spectacular water views.

Server Michael's warm and friendly manner and "aiming to please" attitude adds to the ambience. Made-to-order omelettes, pasta and crepes are all worthy of indulging in. House-made cured smoked salmon is outstanding. Many items change weekly, so coming back often does not feel like it's all the same."

  • "What's there to not love about this brunch (except the calories!)? The view of Long Island Sound (ask for it) is beautiful, especially on a clear, sunny day. The array of foods, nicely presented, buffet-style accomodates every palate and offers a variety of breakfast and luncheon dishes. There are stations for omelettes, crepes and pasta as well as a carving station. Juice, coffee, tea are included in the price. Many of the salads and hot dishes change weekly. The house-cured smoked salmon and large, peeled shrimp are among our favorites. Michael is the server we request each time. He is attentive and warm. We are frequent brunchers at Water's Edge."

  • "We had dinner with two friends that were celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. When I booked the reservation I asked for a window table and pre-ordered a bottle of champagne. Both requests were met by the staff. The waitress was extremely pleasant and abided by my request not to be rushed. The food and service were both excellent.   • "I will occasionally go to Water's Edge for an evening out in a space that has lovely ambience. I generally find the food to be good, but not excellent. Dinner is very pricey and, if I did not have the "owner discount", I would probably not go there. Although the service was very good the last time I was there, it is often very very slow."

  • "Server was was not knowledgeable about the menu, specials and after dinner drinks.ordered sherbet or sorbet after dinner and all they had was ice cream. They were able to get passion fruit from another function.the food was Luke warm and the server was no where to be found when we needed them for pepper etc.pleasant tried to overcompensate with apologies."

  • "The resort is a little older in outside appearance, but it gives you a true New England resort vibe. The restaurant is a business, casual experience with food to match. Nothing is too over the top, but the selection is bountiful. The piano player is a nice touch for a wonderful afternoon brunch and bring the kids!!"

  • "While the atmosphere and location were nice, I felt that you basically paid for the view. The cost of the brunch per person did not include a "traditional" mimosa, bellini or bloody mary. Only the freshly prepared foods had good taste and the buffet style foods were lacking in flavor. My husband and I were a little disappointed that Watersedge did not live up to its "hype"."

  • "I chose Water's Edge to meet a friend for a destination dining place that we were both excited for our dinner date. I was a bit surprised at the choices of entrees that were available on the menu, including evening specials, but did find something that was to my liking. My entree was tasty but the food was just warm and not hot enough. I thought that was a bit disappointing. Table service was fine. My dessert selection was yummy as was the coffee. The dinner was fine but I think I will make another choice when selecting a restaurant when I meet my friend for another dinner in the area."

  • "Sorry to say but we were disappointed in our visit. Although we were seated at 6 PM , ordered drinks and food before 6:30 PM we did not eat until 7:30. Wait staff very nice but seemed overwhelmed, food prepared correctly but underwhelming in flavor and presentation. Amusing Karioki music soon turned to annoying noise from pool bar. Hard to have conversation and server unable to alleviate the problem. Our guest from Italy was gracious but we were embarassed. Such a lovely place but not a lovely memory. IF we should try again, we would eat inside and hope for a better experience. Even the manager seemed unable to sooth diners at the next table who complained about service. We did not complain. Pricey lesson."

  • "This brunch is among the best I've ever eaten at. Start with an airy diningroom that looks out on Long Island Sound. Live piano music plays in the background. The array of food is spectacular. There's an omlette station, a pasta station, crepe and waffle stations, carving station, not to mention the multitude of other food items. There are breakfast items, lunch foods, salads, desserts. Juice, coffee and tea are included for $33.00. One of the finest servers around is Michael. I always request him. Go for a leisurely, delectable brunch and forget about the calories!"

  • "We got married here 12 years ago, so we were happy to come back. The place is showing its age and was cramped. The arm of my chair was broken and certain spots smelled of mildew from the air conditioner. The location is perfect and is very scenic on Long Island Sound. We had brunch this time for our anniversary. I had put in the special notes when making the reservation to please acknowledge our anniversary, nothing was said. The table near us let their children run in the restaurant. We could see the bar outside still had a problem with bees (as was the case 12 years ago). The food was good but not like I remembered it to be. A pasta station was added however and that was very tasty. We won't be coming back for another 12 years."

  • "We had eaten at Waters Edge for brunch, and decided to try it for dinner. We had monkfish, scallops and two steaks. The monkfish and scallops were good, but the steaks were tough and chewy. The bread was so hard on the outside, my son cut the roof of his mouth. When making the reservation for our 20th anniversary, we requested a window table to make dinner extra special, but were not given one. There is only one window table for four and someone else had it. The decor is dated and ugly. The service was ok. We wanted to have a special evening for our anniversary, but overall our experience was not worth the exorbitant cost of the meal."

  • "NO reservation in our name, when we arrived! Rude hostesses. Poor service. Drink order lost. Had to flag down young waiter 30+ minutes after drink order was taken. 4 Parties seated after us had their drinks and meals before us! For party of 4, each meal arrived 5-10 minutes apart from one another. Last person served received wrong order delaying us all from eating another 10 minutes. Beautiful scenic view of the ocean. Embarrassing as we took couple out as a 'thank you ;-("

  • "You never get a bad meal at this place. We have eaten here many times over the years and it is always exactly what you want in taste and quality of the food. The service on the other hand is not up to par with the quality of the food. The wait staff seem to be rather young and inexperienced in how to maneuver around the dinning room and take care of the guests without bumping into chairs, spilling water and some times the wine."

  • " The view is great, and so is the people watching. However, our dinner was terrible. We ordered the Cesar salad to start with, which was pretty good, but it took 50 Mins for it to come to our table. We had order the seafood Risotto to share. It was not Risotto, but just white rice is some kind of booze sauce, and the seafood had tasted like it had gone bad, needless to say we did not eat it. We were short on time, so I asked how long it would take to get a dessert, and was told about 30 mins because the dinning room was full, so I did not order one. It was quite pricy for one meal and two glasses of wine. When we were leaving, we looked into the dinnering room, and there were 4 tables filled, super busy. Will not be going back."

  • "When I made my reservation, I requested a window seat because it was my wife's birthday. When we arrived, all window seats were occupied by people who are owners or who were prospective buyers so we were given a seat next to the wall with virtually no view of anything but the room. The server was friendly, helpful and overheard me apologizing to my wife for the poor view because as soon as one of the guests next to a window left, she moved us to that seat after bussing it. The reason I didn't give an excellent rating for service was because the people who bring the water, bread & butter offered all of the other guests olive oil with their bread and never offered us a refill of our water glasses. Food was tasty but fish slightly overcooked."

  • "Friendly, courteous employees for the most part. Dinner food was lukewarm when presented, tuna was way overlooked yet still not hot when served. Timing of meal was terrible- we were presented with our apps and meal literally three bites away from one another. Server interrupted our conversations a number of times until we gave in and stared at the menu selection. I might add that this was at 8 pm- in my opinion not a prime time meal rush. The band, OOB is excellent; they engaged with the entire crowd and appeared to have a very strong following. Overall, a very nice night but disappointed with the food- portions were small, although the presentation was very good."

All the wait staff made it very obvious they were stressed and there seemed to be something going on. Every time out waiter said he would be right back it was around a 20-25 minute wait. Food was decent but not anything special, there are much better options around the area. Will definitely not be returning and I don't advise you to go here if you want a good experience."

  • "Scallops perfectly cooked and quite a lively dish with the seasoned sweet potatoes. Duck with cavatelli and spinach contained some grit perhaps from spinach not being properly cleaned. The halibut was fresh but just a tad too long on the grill. However, it was saved by the delicious vegetables accompanying the fish. Shellfish risotto was almost a home run, but a tad too long before presentation resulted in a drier than preferred performance. Lemon tarts great. Pear tartin crust soggy..a real miss there. Must say salads were right on and oysters superb. Not a very sophisticated wine list for such an upscale restaurant."

  • "This place feels of cutting corners and going downhill. The restroom next to the Buffett had no soap in either dispenser. Waitstaff use this?. The watered-down mimosa had little OJ, little champagne in a glass filled with lots of ice. Buffett food was tepid, health code issues? The service was not good. The waiter constantly stacked our food laden forks and knives on the tablecloth in front of us. I had to use my fork with pork loin for my dessert. I had to look and look for him to get a second cup of coffee. This is a beautiful facility and the desserts are wonderful, but this place needs work. No one asked us about our meal until we were getting up to leave. Where was the supervisor during the meal? "

  • "Great evening! We were seated at a table offering a panoramic view of Long Island sound, and the beautiful spring landscaping found only at Water's Edge. The Tuscan Cannellini Bean Potage with Sautéed Kale appetizer - delicious. We ordered sea scallops on a bed of sweet potato puree with bacon and corn butter sauce.. well portioned, perfectly cooked. A special dish, obviously prepared by a gifted chef. Our compliments! The service was friendly, comfortable and timely.. We weren't rushed, but neither did we need to wait, as water, appetizer, main course and coffee were served."
