Waterfront KitchenOutdoor dining gem!We had a wonderful dinner Friday night outside on the patio/deck. We had the perfect corner table on the water, and loved every minute. Our waitress was so friendly and kidded around with us all evening, as one member of our table had a tendency to disappear every once in a while to explore the surrounding area. Fells Point is a great place to go out, and the Waterfront Kitchen was the perfect choice for dinner. The live band played a Django-Reinhart-type of music which was the perfect accompaniment to the evening. The food was terrific. We had Caesar salad, beet and goat cheese salad, and potato soup. Yum! For our entrees we had a Veal steak, scallops, rock fish, and chicken pot pie. All fabulous! Looking forward to our next visit!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMopportunitiesThe waterfront kitchen hires rehabilitated convicts looking for a fresh start. Everyone is well dressed and no one had any visible tattoos. They made polite conversation when engaged and were in all aspects well on their way to becoming functioning members of society. Do your city a favor and patronize this establishment.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely WonderfulHave been several times and have never been disappointed. The waitstaff, the food, the view from the deck, it's all perfect!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAmong Baltimore's BestWaterfront is a strong step up relative to Jerry's last place Corks. It is, as the name implies, right on the water which makes for a wonderful dining environment/ambiance. Excellent menu that's a little more refined than Corks. I had the bison ribeye which was one of the better cuts of meat I've ever eaten out. The apps & sides are also well executed. Service was excellent without any hint of pretentiousness. I did not get into the wine list as I brought my own magnum to celebrate - corkage fee of $36 was quite reasonable. The one cocktail I had was solid - even in today's world of custom cocktails, this one was innovative (and very good), but simple enough to let the ingredients shine without sugary additives. Highly recommended.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI have eaten here multipleI have eaten here multiple times- and never been disappointed in the food or the service. Goos wine pairings and a relaxing evening.....outstanding.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMScenic views and great serviceEvery time we come here the service has been simply outstanding. This time we had John. The soft shell flash fried crab was our favorite and the modern twist on the vegetable pot pie was perfect. Can't wait to come back again.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first impression was lessOur first impression was less than positive when hostess told us we could not dine outside. We took a 6:00 p.m. Reservation specifically so we could be outside. After some consultation she agreed so long as we relinquished the table at 8:30 which seemed appropriate to us and we did. Loved every other minute of the evening.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding eveningPerfect weather, terrace dining on the waterfront, outstanding service, great wine, terrific food - what more could one ask. Highly, highly recommended.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMDate NightThe food was amazing. Definitely worth the price. The view especially once the sunset was incredible. Parking right across the street. The dress was alittle confusin because the hostess and opentable said business causal yet everyone had on jeans even the servers. We felt overdressed. Our server was rude and not very attentive. There were two other gentlemen who looked like twins that stepped it up and made sure that we were taken care off. As foodies, my wife and I would return for the rock fish and the braised pork belly. Both were fresh and out of this world. Definitely will not be a date night spot for us next time though5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first of many visits!!!The ambiance exudes refinement and sophistication, while remaining warm and welcoming. The view of the harbor from the enormous windows, the exposed wood and urban feel of the decor makes this a perfect location.
The pork belly melts off the fork like softened butter and pairs perfectly with the hearty greens that hint at a nuance of spice. The charcuterie selection hints at tradition but demonstrates the flare and creativity of the chef. Entrees are a perfect balance of air land and sea with selections ranging from a perfectly crisped duck breast, to smoky succulent pork, to house made pasta with seasonal vegetables and expertly seared scallops. Waterfront Kitchen is a great addition to the Baltimore restaurant scene!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely night at the WaterfrontThe view and atmosphere are top notch, food was well prepared and tasty, service was adequate, wine list not very user friendly, and wines by the glass less than desirable. They were out of a cabernet by the glass- unheard of. But the overall experience was very nice.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience in Balto!Had a great meal for 5 at Waterfront Kitchen. The server was personable, knowledgable, and attentive. We had a wide variety of dishes, including MD crabs, VA chicken, duck, and meatloaf. All were very large servings and well-prepared. Appetizers were excellent also. Next time we will plan ahead better for outdoor dining. Highly recommended!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMA Lovely Friday LunchThis was our first visit. We ate outside on the deck and it was wonderful and relaxing. I noticed they did have outside heat lamps for those cooler nights. We had a reservation and I would suggest a reservation as the restaurant inside and out was full. The service was impeccable. The food and wine was delightful. We did order lunch from their list of specials (we had the crab cake sandwich). We also ordered their cheese plate appetizer which we enjoyed. A neat, casual dress is sufficient. This is a fine dining restaurant that I would recommend. We will return soon.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and view @ WaterfrontThe restaurant specializes in sustainable food, and farm to table. They do not disappoint. My husband and I shared a bison chop that was perfectly cooked on fresh, wilted spinach. One of my guests had the duck breast, and another had the roast chicken. All were delicious. The waiter and the kitchen were helpful and accommodating to the 3 people with food allergies and the one person in a wheelchair. It's difficult to get a table with a view for a large party, but the restaurant got us as close as they could. Go and enjoy!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMSuper friendly service, great foodWe've been here a couple of times and the experiences are pretty much consistent: great friendly service and top level food.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMSat outside on the deck forSat outside on the deck for dinner and it was a great ambiance! Food was excellent!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMMy intentionI wanted to take my girl friend out to dinner for a romantic/special occasion on our one day visit. I chose your restaurant primarily for the view of the bay, with the thought that the experience/view/ambience is what I usually remember about a place (as my girlfriend nor I are real "foodies," we go for the experience). It was too cool outside once the sun set to eat outside so that was unfortunate. The staff was very friendly and everything was quick (a good thing when you're hungry). With my intentions for the night, I wish the scene was more romantic and "fancy." MY mistake on choosing your restaurant as I don't think you're striving to be that. I would recommend you guys as a "foody," market fresh restaurant but not for romance.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMA great location in Baltimore'sA great location in Baltimore's inner harbor and what a view. It was a bit brisk to sit outside but we enjoy an inside table. Service was very good as our waiter answered all our questions about the specials and the menu. Food was well above average, only complaint we had was the hot appetizer I had was not real hot when it was served and was cold by the time I finished it.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat view & foodReally unique ambiance - beautiful (unmatched) view of the harbor. I love wine, and was very impressed by the extensive (seemingly 150+) wine list - by the bottle only. And a bit surprised there were only about 10 available by the glass. Nonetheless, drinks were great :) The food looked/tasted unbelievable, however I found it to be incredibly expensive for what you received. ~$30 per plate I feel was a bit excessive. However, all in all it was a very unique and special experience. Again - the view can't be beat :)5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe staff was very accommodating,The staff was very accommodating, helpful and flexible. And the food was great.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, great viewWe went for brunch. The food was fresh and delicious. A rather odd complaint that I had was that the silverware was heavy and unbalanced. Difficult to hold the fork upright to eat a salad. The knife had no ability to cut, even through a piece of bread, without creating a mess. It had no edge. Other than that, the surroundings were very pleasant, the view of the water was great, and the service was very good. Will eat here again.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I were a bit learyMy wife and I were a bit leary coming here, despite my our friend's recommendation. The bottom line is that the entire experience exceeded the recommendatin and our expectations.
We highly recommend Waterfront Kitchen to anyone for a unique culinary experience!
Larry and Maryellen Gor.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was my third visit to WaterfrontIt was my third visit to Waterfront Kitchen and the food was fantastic, as always, and the service superb. This have become one my top three restaurant recommendations for anyone visiting Baltimore.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and Great view! The Waterfront Kitchen was a fantastic lunch spot - especially on such a beautiful afternoon. Our request for outdoor seating, made with reservations, was accommodated with no questions asked. We got a great spot with a fantastic view of the harbor and the Domino Sugar plant. The large umbrellas were easily adjustable to block the bright sun while keeping an open view of the water. The special of the day (salmon BLT) was delicious and I would order it again! Service was minimal but efficient. I would recommend Waterfront Kitchen for an above-average meal any day of the week.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAmong the top 10 in BaltimoreI was highly impressed by Waterfront kitchen. High quality sophisticated food. The filet and risotto was outstanding.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMust try! Delicious! We will definitely be back. We ate every bite! I had the pasta and my husband had three small plates for his meal. We loved all of it!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was a little disorganizThe service was a little disorganized, but the food was good and the view of the harbor was beautiful!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was great, I wouldEverything was great, I would only improve the quality of the bar drinks as our bloody Mary's and mojitos were not good; maybe you are trying to hard to make them taste unique.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMI purchased a living socialI purchased a living social deal for Waterfront Kitchen and they were very accepting and friendly about it. In the past, I have noticed a touch of snobbery from waitstaff when using a groupon or living social coupon, but here our waitress was nothing but friendly about it. She was very knowledgable, the food was farm fresh, and the Living Classrooms aspect was very interesting to learn about. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice romantic evening out. (The restaurant is small and there is no kid-section on the menu, so I would not necessarily say it is kid-friendly, but the table next to us brought children and they seemed to be accommodating well for them.)3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWaterfront gemBest veal chop in my memory. The bread pudding was so original. None of that glumpy stuff, it was as light as a feather3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMMy first time aftr hearingMy first time aftr hearing much about Waterfront Kitchen, and I was quite impressed. The bouillabaisse may not have been up to Marseille standards, but it was a very taste local variant, and the oyster stew was outstanding. The duck breast would have stolen my heart for the pureed celeriac and wild mushrooms alone, and the rockfish was very well prepared. Portions are on the large size, so come hungry.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMThank you to the bartenderThank you to the bartender for recommending my new favorite bourbon!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe'll be back!If you're one for seed to table, waterfront kitchen is a great choice. Great dining room, awesome view (one of the few eateries right on the harbor) and food is excellent. The scallops were ridiculously good and you won't find that snobby atmosphere anywhere - no small portions for $$$$. I shared the scallops (there were 5 big scallops) with my fiancé and it was a perfect shared entree. Highly recommend!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMReading other reviews, I absolutelyReading other reviews, I absolutely love the waterfront kitchen. We had a table of four, seated right away. Initially we waited a few minutes for service, then our waiter apologized due to the mix up. The wine list very extensive and satisfied our tastes. Appetizers and entree's were excellent.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
