  • "Love the new menu!! The crab cake appetizer is THE must have item. There is now a smaller crab cake you can get with a steak and it's just as good. If you are looking for more of a quiet dining experience make sure you ask for the upper dining room otherwise your table may be among the lower tables in the bar area which can get lively depending on the sporting events on the tv's. The service has always been excellent. I would go back in a hot minute next time I'm in the Clearwater area."

It appears the restaurant is losing it's ability to provide both good food and service. With other options available, it will take a focused leadership effort for the restaurant to capitalize on the opportunity it has to be top notch."

  • "Watercolour sits on the water and has fabulous view from every table. There is also an outside deck for dining. I have been twice before and encountered to-die-for food and impeccable service. This time our server was a little disappointing and while he said he had been there 5 years, he forgot our appetizer and brought out entrees when only half through our salads. He bought us a round of drinks to try and make up for it. I Iove this place and will return, but at these prices these "misses" should not occur. I must add that our steaks were superb! I rated noise level "energetic" because a senior citizen birthday dinner was happening and they were quite boisterous. This is usually a very romantic quiet dining experience."

  • "Our first visit to this restaurant almost started off bad. We had looked on the website menu and saw lamb chops, which is my wife's favorite. When we arrived we were seated quickly and the service was great. As we went through the menu, my wife noticed there were no lamb chops on the menu. When our waiter (Mike) return she questioned what happened with the lamb chops. Mike said the menu had changed two weeks To our surprise Mike returned about 5 minutes later and told my wife the chef would make her the lamb chops. She received two large double boned American lamb chops, I had the bone-in rib-eye, everything was cooked to perfection. The sides were made for two, we had mushrooms and potatoes. We had a wonderful experience. We will return"

  • "I have not been in Watercolour for a year or so but remembered their excellent steaks. They have now revamped the restaurant, looks really nice and in daytime view to intercoastal is fabulous. Service was good. The steak itself was still good but now they have some strange oregano theme going on, the oregano in salad dressing was overpowering (and salad was "swimming" in the dressing) and the excellent spicy oil mixture they use on steaks was this time also having oregano and also olives. I did not like them."

  • "My wife and I booked this restaurant for a delayed Valentine's dinner. We were travelling to Clearwater on V'day and decided to make this our special night. I had been looking forward to a sublime steak dinner that evening, since this place was supposed to be renowned for it's meat dishes. And now the disappointment, I ordered the bone-in rib eye and could not have been more unhappy with the meal. The meat literally had no taste and the topping was an amalgam of sautéed onions and olives, hard to take! I was unable to finish the meat, and that NEVER happens with a good rib and me. As for my wife, she enjoyed a lobster pasta dish that was quite good. All in all an expensive meal that was a major disappointment!"

  • "My wife and I went to Watercolour Steakhouse for Valentine's Day dinner. Everything was great from the moment we arrived. We were seated promptly. The wait staff was very attentive and checked on us regularly. Two managers also stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying our evening. The filet steaks were cooked to perfection and went great with the wonderfully prepared lobster tail. This is one of the best dining experiences I have had at an upscale restaurant. The also have a great wine list. We plan to go back to Watercolour's again and we will be recommending it to others."

  • "We do not usually dine in the hotel restaurant but it was late and we were impressed with the hotel so far. Watercolours was beautifully set overlooking the water with a rounded glass window. Our server, Gina was amazing. She took every care to be sure we ordered the right thing and made the perfect suggestions. We never needed a thing and yet we barely noticed she was there. The food was incredible. We had steaks and crabcakes. The steaks were of the best quality and were as good the next day. The crab cake was the best we have ever had and had flaky crab meat with no fillers and a key lime sauce to die for! We had mini dessert cups which matched perfectly with a perfectly crafted cappuccino and we were not rushed from our table."

  • "We dined on the grand re-opening night. While the food was excellent, the wait staff was a little too over-attentive, interrupting our dining by asking how everything was too frequently. Still a great steak house with filet mignon and cowboy steaks cooked to perfection. Nice presentation if the greek style salad, only did not realize a chopped salad also came with the meal. Server not too clear on that extra. All in all a nice dining experience."

Drinks were left empty, it took a long time to be greeted at our table and the food service was extremely slow. Not up to par for a $165.00 dinner. Don't waste your time or money."

  • "Upon arriving we were greeted by the hostess with "open arms". We arrived early, about 45 mins from our reservation on Christmas Day. They, nor we, had any issue with that. We decided to go to the bar for a cocktail before dinning. There we were introduced to Ricky! What a blast! He was, and so were all the patrons, having the time of his life! His "show" made everybody relaxed and engaged. So much so that we didn't want to go to the table. However, we did. Natalie took care of us with "kit gloves" and simply extended what Ricky had started! Fantastic experience! Food, drinks and service were out of this world! We will definitely be back, and highly recommend it to all!!"

  • "This is the best steakhouse in the area, bar none! This was one of the most flawless services and perfectly prepared food that I have experienced. After living in Chicago for many years, Watercolor is one of the few Florida steakhouses that is right on par with the best Chicago has to offer. The filets were tender, you could have cut them with a butter knife. The sides were delectable. Everything was piping hot, the food was brought out as soon as it was ready to be eaten. Server and maitre'd were attentive and professional! Highly recommended!!"

  • "My wife & I decided to spend thanksgiving away from family for a change We are staying at the Clearwater Marriott, heard good things about watercolors. My wife had steamed clams as an appetizer. There were almost 30 clams on the plate-- Cooked to perfection For the main course she had steak, while I had one if the best turkey Platters ever. But--what made the meal was our waitress. On thanksgiving night Gina treated us like family. It was as if she waited on us for years A real gem for marriott."

  • "We booked our reservation for our first Wedding Anniversary. I can't say enough good things in such a short space, but to try and sum it up it was just awesome. The welcome, the service, the preparation, the food, the view, and the entire experience was beyond expectations. They even had flowers on the table waiting for us for our anniversary. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a romantic setting with a special loved one for a special occasion. Our only regret was that we did not have reservations to stay there longer. I would highly recommend."

  • "This restaurant is one that I wish I could give a great rating, but unfortunately the food kept me from doing that. The service was outstanding. Our waiter went out of his way to make the experience great, including being super cool with my kids. Also, sitting right next to the window and the water was perfect. Now, with that said, the food was problematic. If you like lots of garlic, then you'll be fine, but they put excessive seasonings on foods they shouldn't have. For example, tons of garlic on the lamb, salmon, and asparagus. Garlic on asparagus is ok, but on lamb and salmon? Absolutely not!!! Grilled lamb and salmon need to be more simple. This could be a great restaurant, but the cook needs to scale back..."
