As soon as you walk in friendly service seats you, waiters/waitresses come right over to you, and best of all if you have any questions at all don't be shy! They got you. Everytime I go, the food seems to get even better, so definetely no complaints there. The tomato bisque soup served on a chilly May 7, warmed both body & soul. The grilled octopus is my husband's favorite. He orders an additional serving "to go", which he enjoys when we return home. The view is fabulous in the warmer months. Everyone I've brought here has loved it and would recommend it and return.

The views of the river and the boathouses were remarkable, but the food did not play second fiddle: my fish entree was cooked to perfection and there was enough variety in the menu to please any palate. When we arrived the hostess confirmed our reservation, looked sheepishly at the computer screen and then led us to a table on the patio, where the seats are not comfortable for a pregnant woman and it was slightly chilly outside. It is a very romantic setting and our waiter and the staff were attentive. They seated us in a booth with a wonderful view of the river. My only criticism is price of the meal compared to the quality of the food. The dinner was good, but not spectacular. Both my wife and I had beef (I had the NY Strip, and she had the filet). They were cooked correctly, but the meat was only of average quality. For the price, I anticipated better. We all had the ala carte menu - the food arrived at a nice pace to allow us time to chat and relax between courses. Each dish arrived hot or very fresh - service was good - only issue (and this was because it was New Year's Eve) was service for cocktails during dinner.
Dessert was also outstanding - restaurant manager took time to visit with each table and ask how service and food was - made everyone know how much he appreciated our business - very impressive....12/31/2012 12:00:00 AM
