  • "Had a great dinner on Saturday night before going to the orchestra. Service and food continue to be among the best in the city. Our server had all her visits to our table timed just right. Food preparations and portions were also just right. PLenty to eat, but still comfortable afterwards during the performance. This was not our first visit but we realized we need to visit more often."

  • "We were seated promptly and had very attentive service throughout dinner. They were able to accomodate my vegan request and we both had delicious meals. The Murray Hill Manhattan is my favorite drink there!"

  • "We loved the wonderful dinner at Washinton Place. We liked that the restaurant areas were divided such that real conversation was possible. The background music was good. We had a wonderful time with friends. The the Long Winter's Night is fresh on my mind. I have already and would gladly recommend this place."

  • "Washington Place was super right from the complimentary valet, to the fabulous food, beautiful setting, and attentive service. At first we were seated in a room with two large groups and it was quite noisy. One of the managers noticed and moved us to a quieter, more private, and romantic table. Our waiter was friendly and very attentive. Thanks for a wonderful evening."

  • "Great table on porch. Parking good. Service excellent. Food is OK, but not stellar. My eggs w/challah were overcooked, but presentation was good. I didn't want spicy sausage so substituted fresh fruit. Cant comment on the other three dishes. Prefer to eat on your patio, but not in March!"

  • "Four of us for dinner Sunday evening and we were seated on the glassed-in porch. Charming view overlooking snow-covered trees while sitting in a cozy warm room made for a pleasant evening Hanger steak frites for two of us was delicious. Pot roast was also very good, as was mac and cheese. The server was very attentive and pleasant. She also agreed to play photographer for us. Good wine list and well-made cocktails. Will definitely return in the future."

  • "I can visit Washington Place for many reasons. On a Friday night, I can go with my friends to the bar right after we leave school and get delightful appetizers along with some drinks without feeling out of place in jeans and a t-shirt. Brunch on the weekends is nice and quiet, and the food is lovely. When taking someone out to a nice dinner, Washington Place is a solid choice. There are vegetarian options that don't feel like they've been shoehorned in. My friends tell me that the dishes containing meat are also pretty darn good. I quite enjoy the cocktails because they are not excessively sweet. This is a place that I like to go when I want something familiar, and it has not disappointed me yet."

  • "This was our second time at the Bistro this winter. We loved the Shrimp and Griots and the Duck Pot Pie. The Kale salad and the chopped salad were both very good. The expresso Brownie was a great dessert. We also had excellent service. We will definitely return."

  • "I've been to little Italy for dinner more times than I can count over the past four years. I was trying to find a place for a group of 12 on a sunday night and found this through open table. It is a great place. We also changed our reservation several times because of canceled flights and they were not phased a bit. We wound up with 9 and had a wonderful tine. Very well taken care of by the wait staff and the food was delightful and we had a 50 year age span of guests. I've already made my reservations for graduation. Don't delay. Check this gem out."

  • "We chose a table in the back glassed in area - very comfortable. Our server was prompt, pleasant and knowledgable. Good wine selections. Food was excellent. We had chopped veggie salad, salmon and scallop dishes, and a delicious dessert. Salted caramel with dessert and 'spots" of salt in butter were very tasty. We will definitely return."

  • "The service was great, rooms were wonderful, the building itself is unique, the meat fell off the bone. I had the pork shank and I did not need my knife. Valet parking was mandatory, but that may have been because the lot was full. It may not be mandatory all the time. It's in Little Italy, but it's not on the main road, so you can avoid the weekend traffic"

  • "Another great dining experience at Washington Place. Great Brunch selection. The food is amazing - try the cauliflower bisque! We will be back for dinner on Orchetra night! Keep up the great work!"

  • "Excellent food and service. So much on the menu to try. (Note that menu changes seasonally and due to availability of fresh local ingredients.) We had duck pot pie, wild mushroom meatloaf, and cauliflower bisque (and wine). All were delicious, and not too heavy. Bread pudding w/ vanilla ice cream for dessert, espresso w/ a twist. We sat in the enclosed area that presumably was once a porch on the house. We had a beautiful view of the street and the (snow covered) garden. Service was excellent. Our server was always by at just the right time. We never felt rushed, nor did we ever feel as if we were kept waiting. Free valet parking. Several great places in Little Italy, but don't miss this one. Wonderful experience, we will be back soon."

  • "Our party of 8 enjoyed our delicious dinners. The evening was well paced, never feeling rushed. Service was outstanding. Food was well prepared for everyone's liking. All 8 meals were delivered at the same time and all hot! We were seated in a smaller dining room, having our party feel relaxed. A memorable and fun evening."

  • "We had a fantastic dinner here for Valentines Day and our server was amazing! The inside is quite large but the setup makes it feel much more intimate. For added romance for a special anniversary "stay-cation", stay overnight at the Inn! We will absolutely be going back."

  • "We were there on a Wednesday evening and they feature a "Special" 2 for $40.00 on Wednesdays which includes a bottle of wine with 2 entrees and a shared appetizer. It was an amazing deal for the quality and serving size. My companion and I shared a wonderful Kale salad which was served on two plates and more then enough for a starter and the salmon was cooked to perfection. The wait staff told us everything we wanted to know without us having to ask. They wrapped the remaining bottle of wine for us to take home and our bill was just over 40.00 with tax! There was a great choice of entrees for this special menu - something for everyone."

  • "Took a date to Washington Place, the service was extremely friendly and courteous to the both of us. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and the food was prepared quickly and was delicious. The ambiance was very quiet and well put together, the restaurant as a whole was quite inviting."

  • "We just happened to try Washington Place before a performance at Severence Hall. We were extremely impressed with the charm of the restaurant, the excellent service and incredible menu! The cauliflower bisque for starters was amazing! My daughter raved about the shrimp and grits entree! We didn't have time for desert, our fault for only allowing 70 minutes for dinner! We will definitely go back and enjoy a full evening at this charming bistro!"

  • "Exceptional dining experience, incredible food from starters through deserts. The glassed in porch provides nice views and atmosphere even in the winter. We have also stayed overnight and thoroughly enjoyed that as well."

  • "The menu was mouthwatering, but the food didn't live up to it. The asiago bread was a bit overwhelmingly cheesy. The butternut squash-chestnut pierogies with pine nuts were a bit dry and pasty. The hearty carbonara was way too salty for my taste. And the mango sorbet serving was HUGE - half as much would have fine..."

  • "What a great find! I travel often so my excitemnet for food is limited, although the food here excites me and is excellent, the sauces are fantastic and the service is great - 5 star service."

  • "Had a great menu just the right price considering the restaurant and its expected value. I enjoyed the "comfort food" just like I had in my younger days. The atmosphere was relaxed and enticing and the view of Murray Hill in winter was fantastic. The service was phenomenal and paced just right."

  • "Took my girl here for our anniversary. Had a wonderful time n. Great wine list and really good mixed drinks. Little tip: get the cheese grits and shrimp. I didn't even know I liked grits before I got this. Let me say this: they were to die for!"

  • "Sat on the porch watching the snowfall - beautiful. Loved the baby kale salad. The only negative was that the coffee was only lukewarm, which was quickly corrected by our server."

  • "Washington Place seems to have done a marvelous job of creating a new image in a long-time Cleveland dining destination. They deliver great value for moderately up-scale pricing. Food & service on two visits were both wonderful. The bar is also quite creative! Check out the inn, too! A room preview on our first dining visit prompted an overnighter the next time we planned to dine with them!"

  • "We had a wonderful experience and will return often. My boyfriend and I wanted to mix up our usual brunch place an were not disappointed! The cocktail list is inspired, the service personable, the ambiance subtle and sophisticated, and the food was absolutely outstanding. Both my boyfriend and I were impressed at the perfect seasoning and portion size. Our experience was simply exquisite. We will absolutely be returning."

  • "Dined at Washington Place before the Severance Boston Pops concert on New Year's Eve. Food was exceptional, very fairly priced and we we were not rushed a bit, very nice on such a busy time of the year. Even got to keep the special New Year's Eve printed menu. Very special dinner we will remember."
