Consistently good food, service and atmosphere. We weren't disapointed. They always have interesting specials and promotional drinks so the menu doesn't get stale. Servers are helpful and friendly. Portions are good size without being too much. Wine list is also very good. A funneighborhood to walk around and peek in the shop windows. The manager came over and apologized and offer us appetizers on the house. Not very many places do that when your reservation time comes and passes. The food was delicious and the service was great. We have heard about it for years and the restaurant definitely lived up to the hype. We brought our 3 month old infant with us and the atmosphere was such that all were welcome. The food was tremendous. I would HIGHLY recommend the beef tenderloin with gorgonzola and cherry tomatoes. Delicious! The ambiance was semi-formal to laid back but the decor was suitable for any date experience. We had dinner there once before (my wife had a Groupon) and this is where my wife wanted to go to celebrate our special day. We took our 19 year old daughter and she loved it. The food was wonderful as was the service. We really like the atmosphere.
For dinner, expect about $20/person. If you have wine or dessert it will be more.
The portions we had were very large. But not for foodies. I prefer max gill and grill for happy hour and for oysters. Also, I've never received a free or 2for1 dinner coupon, which I would use if I had one. I've received free meal on my bday and anniversary, as have my friends from max, so we have bday parties at max. Seems short sighted given that we usually bring 6-8 business friends who then go back to max.
