I loved the feel of the place. Many small rooms to keep the old inn atmosphere. Beautiful decor and chandeliers. Service was inpeccable. While making the reservation we requested a window seat since it was our 47th Anniversary, They accommodated us and sent out 2 glasses of champagne much to our surprise. We both had the Filet Mignon. It was cooked to perfection, juicy and very tender. Probably the best Filet we have ever had. We will definitely return and have already recommended this restaurant to our friends

It is a scenic and lovely area. It is a pretty place. The people that worked there were pleasant. I ordered the shrimp and tuna for 32.oo. It tasted like it was from a cheap Chinese restaurant. The shrimps were very small with tons of breading. I asked for a birthday candle in a desert that we ordered but never came. I was disappointed but I would go again and order some thing else.

The Washington Crossing Inn is seeing better days. I used to go there for history. It was old, quaint, and charming. But the food would not have satisfied General George's army, hungry as they may have been. Now, renovated and freshened up by new owners, the Inn is worth crossing the River for. My dining partner and I began with a delicious pizzette and then enjoyed a fresh halibut entree, tasty and plated beautifully. Our waitress, an attentive young woman with an Eastern European accent. The cocktail served from a silver container at the table was ample. We sat in a room with a view. There are other dining rooms with fireplaces. A great find.

Had not been to the Inn in several years & was happy with the updates: beautiful interiors kept pristine plus wonderful outdoor seating area. Windy weather not conducive to garden seating, but noted outdoor bar was open. Brunch foods from french toast to salmon (both hot entree & chilled smoked varieties) to prime rib & eggs Benedict, as well as omelette station. Abundant fresh fruit & salads & sweets table. Efficient & friendly service without rushing allowed a leisurely meal. Impressive note: all buffet serving areas were clean, neat & well-tended by restaurant staff - which is not always true with buffet brunches. Our reservations were for 10:30 and Inn was quite crowded before Noon, so reservations strongly suggested.

We are history buffs and we went to the restaurant for our anniversary. They could not seat us with a view (despite the open tables) and they were out of the wine we ordered. The food was average at best. My steak and mashed potatoes were dry. The game hen is only a portion of the small bird soy husband was still hungry. The room was noisy (with only a few people in it). The clientele were older and the menu seemed to cater to an older crowd. Not much interesting going on

Have you a new chef? I had the fried turkey and it tasted like turkey loaf and the hailbut was not great like it used to be. No flatbread anymore and the salad was not as good as usual. Very disappointed as I have always gone to the Inn. Not outstanding anymore.

I took a friend to the Inn for a birthday lunch, and we were fortunate to eat outside on the beautiful terrace. Although we ordered from the a la carte menu, the restaurant offers an excellent $12.99 three-course pre-fixe lunch. We both had the delicious house salad to start, followed by the filet sandwich for my guest and the shaved prime rib sandwich for me. While the quality of the beef was very high, to me there was too much beef on the menu and not enough fish (other than salmon). The choice of wines by the glass is very good and the prices are fair. The service was pleasant but a bit slow, however the place was full and perhaps they were short-staffed.

I was hoping for a better culinary experience. Apparently, there is a new chef.... let's just say we returned 2 dishes for saturation in dressing and the pasta was undercooked, pasty, and the ravioli stated "weird". But the other dishes were fine. We were seated in a side room to ourselves as if we were being punished. There was plenty of seating in the main restaurant. The chair cushions were lumpy. Our server was excellent and made the world of difference.

George Washington would be proud to know that his namesake is on this beautiful, historic inn. Right next to Washington's Crossing Park on the Delaware, the inn has beautiful gardens for outdoor dining and is a popular venue for wedding receptions. The inside of this inn keeps in historic character, yet has been kept in museum-quality elegance.

After crab soup and salads, a dinner of pork chops and halibut were perfect choices for a special meal with old friends. Perfect ambiance in the Secret Garden, good service, and an overall great dining experience. Just a delightful meal in the perfect outdoor garden. An enhanced beer offering would improve the draw for those who like interesting and unique brews, but that is our only suggestion for improvement.

Food and service were excellent. We were seated in a room just off the kitchen. There was a wedding that evening and the steady stream traffic through our room for the first half of our meal made us feel like we were sitting in a hallway. Also, the seats are too low. I felt like I was having to reach up to eat my meal. We will return, but to sit in another room.

We had an outside reservation to celebrate my wife's birthday; however it was pouring that evening.. so we had to settle for a dining table inside the main dining hall; the waitress was happy to accommodate us near a window overlooking the main street. We could not taste the Tapas menu... as it is restricted to outdoor setting.. we will need to go back for that.. However the salad and the starters were very good.. Overall a nice dining experience.

This is the 3rd year in a row that my husband and I have met my friend at Washington's Crossing Inn for brunch. We love the location, and the historic setting. The food is always very good, but this year we came near the end (1:30) so things were picked over-especially the dessert table. The 1st 2 years we came and had AnnaMarie for a server-she is wonderful. This year we had Jenn-she was about as friendly as a robot. We left her a $15 tip, and I think that was very generous compared to how she came across to us. My friend is not able to hear, and she had no patience for her. In spite of the service this time around, I would go back in a heart beat, any history lover would be happy there.

My Friend and myself were a little early for reservation, so we stopped at the bar for a cocktail, then I went to tell the hostess that we were there & would be ready to be seated at her convenience. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner and stopped at the bar on our way out to listen to live music & have an after dinner drink. Overall a nice experience

The Washington Crossing Inn is always a nice change in our regular rotation of restaurants. Everything was lovely when we had lunch there for Mother Day. The weather was perfect, plenty of tables outside, attentive busboys. Our only problem was our waitress. There were four of us. Opening drink orders were two mimosas, tonic water, and one mojito. All drinks took a long time but the mojito was extra late holding up any mother's day toast there might have been. And then our party who ordered it said it wasn't made right. Lunch order also extremely slow and my husband's appetizer salad never came. Unfortunately those kinds of things stick with you. An inattentive waitress can make or break a memory.

It was quiet, elegant, fine service and the food was presented with flair one finds with fine cuisine. I held back the fifth star only because I thought the menu seemed a bit limited. It's not a high volume place so I get it; you can't expect a wide choice of entrees. Having said all that I really appreciated the chef's finesse with my scallops. Very nice and you don't get just that anywhere.
