Washington Crossing InnNewly remodeled, great ambienceThis charming restaurant has a real colonial feel and the food is very good! My wife and I had lunch with friends and all four of us were very pleased with the experience. Located on the Delaware River in historic Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, this restaurant is really worth visiting.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA Most Enjoyable ExperienceI was very happy with the food, the service, and the beautiful surroundings.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial occasion dining experience:Highly recommend the WCI for that special occasion where guests appreciate the dining experience rather the "let's go out to eat" regimen. We chose the indoor dining option and were seated in a cozy, elegant dining room. Our hostess, Lynn, was terrific and appreciated the occasion of my wife's birthday. Our server, Lucy, and wait staff were personable and attentive through the evening. Dining room was immaculate, ready for a military white glove inspection. The gin martinis rivaled my best efforts; appetizers, calamari and red beet salad were terrific; entrees, Scottish salmon and Lancaster filet mignon were A+.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat evening!I had one of the best dishes I have ever tasted - the chowder with roasted cod, cockles, and potatoes. Wow! My husband's Scottish salmon was a very generous portion, cooked to just the right temperature, and presented beautifully with Swiss chard and rice. The service was caring and paced just right.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMOur Special PlaceMy wife and I were married at the Washington Crossing Inn in 2004 and we have been in love with the place ever since. We have been back for brunch, lunch, and dinner numerous times on birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions and we consider it our special place for celebrations. The food is always amazing and the staff are wonderful. We were just there for our son's college graduation for dinner and we can't wait to come back for Father's Day brunch !!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AM"I love the relaxed feel of"I love the relaxed feel of this place - like an- up scale dining room with lots of character. I definitely would return to enjoy the outdoor setting and to try more dishes.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA very pleasant surpriseOne might think that this delightful Inn....at a touristy destination (Washington and the Delaware stuff) might be ordinary. It is not!! The food is great, rooms beautifully put together and....lotsa people eating outdoors.
And if you find Jennifer "S".....the charmer from Century 21......you'll have an even better dining experience.
Wonderful Roast Beef (haven't had it in 10 years)......Seafood Chowder and assorted appetizers....(delicious Malbec by the glass)...make this a find. Enjoy!!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat SpotWashington Crossing Inn is located in a historical site. The food was great although the portions were somewhat small. The menu is limited but what is there offered is good.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMTea Time DelightMy mother and I enjoyed a beautiful afternnon at the Washington Crossing Inn for afternoon tea. The Tea Service was wonderful. The tea sandwiches were delicious as were the pastries. And for a special treat, that we were not expecting, the Chef had prepared a soup that was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend the Washington Crossing Inn for there Afternoon Tea as well as any other meal.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA very nice brunchWe like to do brunch and there are not a lot of places that have brunch these days. We decided to try The Washington Crossing Inn for brunch and we were pleasantly surprised with their set-up. The food though no a huge selection was very good and our server Anna Maria was fantastic! Weather permitting, dining outside is a treat with all the trees, plants and flowers surrounding the dining area. Overall we had a very good, enjoyable experience. Would go there again. We would like to try their lunch or dinner menu.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMOur food was excellent lastOur food was excellent last Sunday at the Inn, from the bread basket to the last detail of our meals. We were too stuffed to be able to try the desserts so I will leave that for another visit. Two of our party had the checked which was prepared with a cranberry relish and a delicious chestnut stuffing. One had prime rib, also done perfectly and delicious. The last of our party had the salmon accompanied by kale and rice. Fish was cooked perfectly. Oh, forgot to mention my favorite: the pear and arugula salad! We will definitely return!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe remodleing was beautiful. The remodleing was beautiful. The renovations are terrific - brighter, tasteful and in keeping with the time period of the restaurant. What a great way to celebrate my anniversary and my husbands retirement. Always a delicious meal for anytime.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellence at the WCI!!!We had dinner this past weekend at WCI. This was the second excellent meal in the past few months. The chef has definitely brought a fresh change to the menu. The fricasee salad was light and tasty. I had the halibut with a pesto/pistachio paste on the side - the presentation was superb. My wife had the scallops, again well presented and excellently prepared. Desert was also delicious. Best of all, the service was what we have had at other fine restaurants. We ate in the recently renovated "covered bridge" room. It was very cozy and comfortable. As frequent diners of the Yardley Inn, the Washington Crossing Inn definitely is bringing its game forward. We will definitely return as we look forward to the chef's Spring menu.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWe visited on Sunday, MarchWe visited on Sunday, March 24th to tour the Inn for a wedding. We stopped afterward for their brunch. They had plentiful choices of both breakfast and lunch with a great sized table of desserts. The 5 other people I was with loved the food and desserts. Everyone left full and happy. The server was gracious and stopped to speak with us many times as she was also a wedding hostess. Everyone made us feel welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Inn. We will be back!
