From appetizers to the entree the
food was great. The service was properly timed and respectful. This is the only restaurant in town that I actually enjoyed the foie gras and escargot. The creole pasta was very good. Walter's is now my favorite spot in town."

Although this was our first visit
to Walters Bistro, we felt right at home. The service and ambiance were terrific. I thought the Filet Wellington was wonderful and the fresh salad was just right for me."

We have been to Walter's before
and had a good experience. Hhowever this valentines day dinner was not up to par. The menu for the night was going to be 3 courses. My food was not very good. My first course I chose was the gazpacho soup, and followed by the monk fish. I felt neither had much flavor at all. My wife chose the salad and the sole that she said was good, nothing spectacular. Desert was good but was probably not even made by Walters but a buy out item for them. We felt that we were rushed which made the night just the more a disappointment."

Tab for adult family of 6 was $650
(included: 4 cocktails and 1 bottle of sauvigion blanc)... for dessert got talked into a $110 small bottle of dessert wine... price wasn't mentioned. In general wines are grossly overpriced. Having said that the food was excellent and the lobster bisque has to be tried to be believed - creamy and delicious, truly unique. Go, but watch your wallet."

This was our third visit to
Walter's. We were so impressed by the food and service the first time that we looked forward to returning again. Above all else, the culinary delights of Walter's is beyond reproach! With every selection of lamb, fish, etc., the superior quality of the food along with the chef's excellent ability to prepare it comes through loud and clear. Although the service was excellent for our first two visits, we were somewhat disappointed with this visit. The waiter, while attentive, prompt, and knowledgeable, was not as friendly & welcoming as our first two waiters. However, the manager of the restaurant more than made up for any of the waiter's weaknesses with his friendliness and concern for our dining experience."

Everything was great except that I
noticed after getting home, that I was overcharged for a bottle of wine... by $15. Probably an honest mistake, but still disconcerting. And one of our party had to wait for a second filet to be prepared an inordinate amount of time (due to a heavy vein caught by the waiter)."

Easy to find and get to. Common
exterior/pleasant refined interior. Were seated by front door which was a little noisy to start out with, but when asked if something could be done to minimize it, a door was closed to the small room we were in which helped and we were thankful for. The rest of the evening was a very pleasant and the service, food and wine(s) we had were outstanding. We will go back to enjoy an special occasion in the future."

Let me preface by saying I have
been to walters a handful of times and it has always been phenominal. So I have high expectations, so my critique is very "knit picking". The waitstaff was distracted due to a large party. We waited 15 minutes for our wine. The ahi appetizer was wonderful, however a little over priced for a starter, $16. I always enjoy walters chilean sea bass. It was perfectfully cooked. The entree was a little light. 4oz of fish, 5 pieces of gnocci and 4 small bites of lobster. And the truffle gnocci was only finished with truffle oil, I expected some shavings. I expected our three course meal with one glass of wine and tip to cost $100 and was a little shocked with a $150 tab."

Walter's is a great restaurant -
perfect for date night (reservations recommended), or just hanging out in the bar (first come, first serve seating). The menu is full of tempting items. I had the Sea Bass that came with truffle gnocchi and a lobster cream sauce. The portions were quite large for the quality of the food - a nice big piece of fish with significant chunks of lobster in the sauce. My wife had the Colorado Rack of Lamb, which was amazing. Again, large portions (a sizable 4 bone rack), but perfectly cooked and amazingly seasoned. When we were their, it came with an Andouille sausage bread pudding. Walter, the owner, personally oversaw the quality of the restaurant and ensured guest satisfaction. Really a classy place."

Great place tucked away near the
Broadmoor. I had read about it and when i knew i was going to be in the Springs I made a reservation. I would go back in a second. What they do they do well. I am sure the quality of the food and the service is very consistent. It feels like a step back in time-to a time when dining out was a luxury. I highly recommend Walters."

mall setting, 10 minutes from the Broadmoor. I encourage anyone to leave the property (which is fantastic) for a great dinner at Walter's. Walter's Bistro is always great,
but usually out of our price-range. Restaurant Week gave us an opportunity to sample appetizers, entrees, and dessert at a price not much more than that of the entrees themselves. The lobster bisque has always been a specialty of the house, and it was as spectacular as ever. The chicken was as tender and tasty as any we have ever had -- and, because my wife's hand is arthritic, the kitchen staff cut it up before sending it out to us. The trout was good, but not as impressive as the chicken. I think dessert was a kind of peach cobbler a-la-mode, and it definitely was a nice way to finish the meal. The wait staff was attentive, the atmosphere warm and cozy. It was a good way for us to end Restaurant Week."

My seabass was wonderful. My
husband's steak was charred on the outside, giving it a charcoal flavor.Given the cost of the food, I would expect better and more of it. On a positive note, the salad was excellent. The tables are close so you feel like you need to whisper to have a privatge conversation and yet the noise level is such that you have to talk loudly to be heard even at your table."

the door but passed by the table a few times just to make sure our needs were being met. The food was very good. Location very convenient and uncongested. Easy parking. Waiter was extremely knowledgable about the food, its' presentation and very attentive to inquiries regarding the offerings. You can rely on Walter's Bistro
for a quality experience. We had a party of 7 people. First of all, Walter's has large round tables for bigger groups so you can actually talk to everyone without getting up, unlike at a long rectangular table. Their food and service is NEVER an issue. The food is always delicious and the service is always on point. Warm and friendly and very professional at the same time. We had a great night. Absolutely recommend it."

Fine dining can be tough at times
in Colorado Springs, but Walter's Bistro is always very good and as importantly very consistent. Servers are well trained and don't rush you through the meal, the wine list is nice with selections from ~$30 to >>$100 and the food is always excellent. Well worth it."

bistro in our neighborhood. We were greeted like we came every week. Received great service including finding the right gluten-free items along with the offer for the chief to make something to order. Main dining room is quiet while the bar area with lower priced menu was busy this Friday night with a crowd of locals. Highly recommended."

Walters was an unexpected
discovery for us last year, and we've been back several times for a few very notable reasons: 1: The food is always incredible and it's obvious that Walter takes great pride in the food that they serve. 2 things on the menu have been there since the beginning: Walter's Lobster Bisque and his seabass entree. If it is your first time visiting Walter's I recommend you try them both. 2: Walters is owned and operated by Walter. He started his bistro 14 years ago. Walter stopped by our table 2 or 3 times to ensure that we were getting the absolute best service. He is very proud of his dishes and his waitstaff and it certainly shows. Walter has some of the best dinner service in Colorado Springs."
