Diner Reviews
  • "Visited WSC before Little Voice at the Walnut. What a fun nite...host and hostess sooo gracious and kind! I am going back in May before our next play!"

  • "The wait staff was prompt and helpful in navigating the menu and wine list -- only issue, the staff seemed to disappear once the food was served. The food was very good and with six dining, we sampled many items on the menu. The goat cheese was amazing. This is a definite place to visit again."

  • "The entertainment was really fun and talented. The food was pretty good as well. The breaded calamari and antipasto appetizers were delicious. I really enjoyed the home made fresh pasta with vodka sauce. I would recommend to anyone looking for a unique dining experience."

  • "The atmosphere was great here. The surprise for me was the talented waitstaff. The music makes the atmosphere great here. The food isn't bad either. The calamari appetizer was great. The soup was great as well. The only negative was the cannoli."

  • "Love the uniqueness of having the performances through dinner. Food was great too!"

  • "I got a voucher on Amazon Local and went with a friend. We did appetizers and dessert and the food was great! The entertainment is fun, and it was neat getting to see our server sing on stage. The only downside was that our table was not in view of the stage so we could only see the entertainment on a flat screen TV (but there is a balcony/open wall so we could hear great!). Next time I'll know to call and request a stage view."

  • "The food is prepared perfectly. The servers are attentive. The floor show is bright spot in an often dull dining experience. This was our second trip and we will continue to patronize the Walnut Street Supper Club and recommend it to all our friends and relatives."

  • "My husband and I came here as the result of an Amazon Local deal. I had been past it before, and had noted its cozy looking interior and pretty awnings. When we arrived, we were not disappointed. The bar served very good mixed drinks, and my martini was perfect. Staff was friendly and cordial, and the atmosphere was easy and conversational. I had the pork loin special for dinner, and it was delicious. My husband's tuna steak was good, too - although a little underdone at first. The idea of the staff also being the performers was a nice idea, not unlike the dinner theaters we used to attend. We heard three or four, and they had very good voices and soulful performances. The owner circulated and talked to us. A very enjoyable evening."

  • "A bargain before Walnut Street Theatre! Italian menu, very good. Singing waitstaff, very entertaining. Atmosphere a little stuffy but it works...just like an old fashion supper club without the dance floor. What's not to like! If you are a subscriber to Walnut Street Theatre you will get 20% off everyday."

  • "It was awesome. I'm had a party of 10 for my celebration. They were ever entertaining with the sings. The crowd was very nice. Over all it was a good experience. :-)"

  • "Walnut Street Supper Club is a great dining experience (the food and drinks are excellent). Local actors / actresses go on stage to sing throughout the meal (it's a lot of fun but can get kind of loud)!"

  • "We loved the entertainment. We loved the service. My boyfriend liked his fish. He said it was perfectly cooked and tasted good. He also liked the caesar salad because it had the anchovy taste like it should. I thought my scallops and shrimp were cooked perfectly, but the linguine had no flavor and no extra sauce for dipping the bread. I guess that was okay because we found the bread to be stale. It is a shame really because this place is really nice and if the food was more flavorful they would have lines waiting to get in."

  • "I was impressed with the service, the server came back to check on us very frequently. The food was good. The dessert was excellent. This restaurant is loud and we did not sit near the stage. At times it was hard to hear the person sitting across from you and you felt like you had to talk loudly to have a conversation. One advantage to the noise level is that it's didn't seem to be a problem to have a rowdy table with lots of laughing and conversation. We will definately return to this restaurant overall it was a great experience."

  • "Cute idea w great servers and expensive average food. Plus they would not substitute pasta for potatoes that came with veal parmagian. You ever here of that? One and done. Only good note was the singing. Cute concept."

  • "My wife and i have been eating at Walnut St since it opened several years ago and have never been disappointed. Food is absolutely amazing. Service could not be better. And for entertainment what could Be better than the wait staff singing? Unbelievable restaurant."

  • "Thanks for AGAIN making my wife feel speciali on her birthday. It's always an awesome experience, starting with being greated by Ralph at the door. Summer did a wonderful job meeting the wants and needs of our party of 9. As always Jeremiah was more than an entertaining MC. His awesome talent coupled with his witty banter makes the Walnut Street Supper club our favorite spot for awesome food, phenomenal service, and a deliciously entertaining evening."

  • "We chose the restaurant as a halfway point for two couples to meet, The description about the musical staff sounded interesting so we took a chance. The chance paid off big. What a nice time we had listening the talented voices of the staff as they took turns performing. Very tastefully done and the food was fine. Drinks and wine expensive but I guess that's a city thing."

  • "This restaurant is absolutely delightful. While the food is delicious, it is the music we go there for. It's a thrill when your waiter or waitress gets up on the stage and belts out a tune or two and it's a nice way to get to know them a little as well. They are all so outgoing and so talented. You can't help but get engaged in the whole experience."

  • "A place you go to for the experience more than the food. I had the PEI mussel app in white, which was delicious, and chose the braciola entree, which was good but not memorable. Partner had the seafood combo, and I thought the scallops should've done another few minutes in the pan. Their plating is attractive. Singing was not always excellent, but there were some breathtaking performances. Not a place to go if you want to converse over dinner, either your attention will be on the stage or you won't be able to hear each other: they do overamplify a bit. There is favoritism among guests and the host did not treat us as well as other tables, which I found offensive. Tiramisu was absolutely divine. Will prob return, if only for the atmosphere"

  • "First time last Saturday before going to the PA Ballet -walked in and saw Sammy, Frank and Dean and knew we were in the right place!! Greetings were friendly and genuine. Waiter was excellent and sang a great rendition of Summertime. Great Italian food. Outstanding piano player. We've already told friends about this place, and will definitely be back."

  • "This was my first time dining here and the experience was great. The staff/ cast made you feel welcome from the second you stepped in the door.. The manager/ host, was great as well as our serve, Jess, who I learned had just recently been promoted to a serve.. She did an awesome job, very personable, friendly, great service and attention.. Can't wait to go back to this place."

  • "The Walnut Street Supper Club is a very friendly Italian restaurant where at various times a pianist and drummer accompany what appears to be randomly selected series of singers drawn from the waitstaff and bar personnel. The live performances are competent, if a bit over-amplified by the sound system. The performances evoke images of wedding receptions where various family members take turns at the mike to belt out a favorite number. The patrons seemed happy enough to be entertained by the both the live performances and the music videos of the 1980s playing during the singers' "break." The service was exceptionally friendly and solicitous. The food was certainly acceptable. The prices were reasonable. Definitely worth a visit."

  • "Wonderful.!!!! It was a great experience before attending the Walnut Theatre. The songs were very entertaining. The seating was perfect. They asked us what we preferred. The food and selection was awesome. The wait staff were exceptional. A 20% discount was too good to be true. Highly recommend this new venue. Will definitely go back."

  • "Second time dining here. The food and service were superior to my prior dining experience. However, there was no live music/no performances this time around. At least for me, this is a key factor in my decision to dine at this restaurant. In any event, the food and service were superior to other restaurants in the general vicinity."

  • "Oh my goodness... what talent! Waiters are exceptional, not only in table service, but in entertainment. They are truly gifted. I couldn't help but think what a tough job they had... taking your order, disappearing into the kitchen to get that order in process, then running out to the stage to belt out a mememable song with piano accompaniment, then dashing back to the kitchen to check on dinner. All with style and a smile. Food was excellent. I had the grouper, which was cooked to perfection; very juicy. Arugula salad crisp, fresh & very tasty with slices of grapefruit. Looking forward to returning again."

  • "Kim and her staff never seem to disappoint in any aspect of the quality of service, the attention to detail and personal attention that she pays to each table. I love going here for the dinner, the entertainment and the quality of food. The servers are always impeccable and when they are not paying attention to your needs, they are up front entertaining and doing a fine job of it!! If you don't visit this place you are really missing out on a great dining and entertaining experience!!"

  • "The entertainment was moderate. Thought they would have been more entertaining with the singing and song selections. Appetizers good however stay away from the steak entrees."

  • "Really enjoyed the singing by the staff. Only disappointment was they only played 30 minutes during the 1:40 minutes we were there. We arrived at 6:00pm on a Friday night and left at 7:40pm."
