My daughter and I shared a caesar salad. Her main course was the balsamic chicken with a baked potato. I had the Mother's Day special Seafood Trio with fingerling potatoes, substituting asparagus for the broccoli. Perfect amounts. Great flavors. We're not ones to usually order dessert, but decided to share the cheesecake trio. Again, perfect slivers to top the meal off. The staff was very accommodating on a busy "hockey" night, so we were able to watch the game without the "crowd" noise in the bar. But we prefer the dining room on any other occasion. I was very disappointed that they were out of Osso Buco but the waiter did an excellent job helping me to pick another entree. I had the mixed grill with the filet, salmon and tuna prepared perfectly. The rice pilaf was delicious as was the Caesar salad. I was at the Grill one other time with a friend and I wanted my family to have an experience like my first. Regardless of the 90 minute commute, it was well worth it. Although the outside of the building is not appealing, the inside is quite unique. From the layout to the lighting. The facility was clean without any offensive odors. The service was prompt and comprehensive. The menu is unique and we found it difficult to choose from the many selections. The Gluten free menu was a plus for my daughter and the drink for "Erica" which is her name was deemed as remarkable. The food was outstanding. We hope to return soon. I have brought several friends there to celebrate their birthdays, and it is always a fun meal as well as a good MEAL. I HAve never been disappointed in my food, or drinks. EVERyone who works there is SOOooooo very pleasant, and they make you feel like you are eating from their grandmother's kitchen! I have eaten at Walnut Grill ...during lunch, or evening...on the deck, and at the bar..and have NEVER EVER had a bad meal or VISIT!!They are very prompt,and attentive waiters who are there with a smile on their faces and very attentive to all your needs. He knew the menu, recommended items that were perfect and made certain that our food was presented professionally and our drinks were always refilled promptly.
There was a separate room for dinner and we ate there. The bar was full and we stopped in the check on the score of the hockey game. Everybody was enjoying the atmosphere including us. The staff was very accommodating and appropriately attentive. I had the Sea bass, which was extremely good, and my guest had the Salmon that was equally as good. I am looking forward to trying the other items on the menu in the near future. The wait staff has always been friendly and attentive and the appetizer and entree menus have something for everyone although we have become partial to the caesar salads and jumbo crab cake.

We were able to take advantage of the appetizer and drink happy hour specials. The house wines were just okay but the stuffed banana peppers were good.
