Prior to last week, my guest had not visited the restaurant, and she lives in the area. So, I suggested we go! This is a great restaurant, however, the service during some of my recent visits has been inconsistent with previous experiences. By far, this was my best visit in a long time! Kayla knows the menu, is courteous, and she smiled the entire time. Food was delivered in the appropriate amount of time and she checked on us often. I will ask for Kayla again.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMNice outdoor dining spotI had a fun evening at Walker's Grille. The outdoor seating is great because it's covered. We arrived in time to take advantage of happy hour specials, which are well priced. My friend and I shared the spinach dip and each had crabcake sliders. The dip was good, the sliders could have used a slightly bigger crapcake. There was more bun that crabcake, but they had good flavor. The service was certainly efficient and polite. I will certainly go back and try other entrees. The location is close to my house and the amount of outdoor seating and ample free parking make the restaurant more attractive. Great experience both times. Saw the 3-course fixed price menu they were offering ahead of time and thought it sounded good. Superb food, large portions (including the drinks! A 4 ounce pour? Really? Never seen that at Walker’s or anywhere else in fact!), and the service great. We were able to enjoy our Mother’s Day brunch without feeling rushed unlike so many other places where you’re ‘forced’ to hurry up with your meal so they can seat the next reservation! Also, if we didn’t like something (which is rare!), the staff and/or managers/owners have been very accommodating. There is no other place like this in Kingstowne. Unlike many other places where it's over-crowded and you're made to feel rushed so they can seat the next party, we had a relaxing Mother's Day Brunch. The many times we've been there, if we've ever had any issues, the wait staff and/or the managers/owners have always been accommodating. Only place of this caliber in Kingstowne. He had the fish-n-chips and I had the Nicoise Salad with grilled Salmon. We splurged and had a lunch-time cocktail too. The food was fresh and the service was friendly and attentive. If you work in or near Springfield, this is a great place to eat ... esp. on a sunny day on the patio. (Parking is a little tight at peak lunch time, so allow time to find a spot).4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Night at Walker's GrilleMy wife and I visited Walker's Grille for the first time on the evening of April 7 to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience. We chose the Walker Grille because of their emphasis on organically produced beef, seafood, and vegetables. The food was great and although the wait staff told us they were shorthanded, our waitress and hostess teamed up and did a fantastic job of taking care of us in a very timely manner. Also, I found the prices to be very reasonable. We will definitely be back with other family members and friends! The hummus appetizer was one of the better appetizers we have had in a while. My T-bone steak was well seasoned and cooked to my specifications. It's only downfall was that it was a little fatty.
