   We found the quality of the food for the price was poor. We ordered the Pulled Pork, the Schnitzel Jaeger & 2 Kids Pretzels. The Pretzels & Pulled Pork came out before the Schnitzel. The Pulled Pork was fairly dry and lukewarm & when the Schnitzel came out a bit after it was piping hot. Mediocre & quite disappointing. Kids Pretzels were great for the value.

   We had a wonderful celebration meal. The food and service were excellent. We had the fondue and maybe ordered too many side dishes. The restaurant is not easily accessible but the staff at the hotel arranged for transport. Everyone was very helpful. Though it’s more than we would normally pay for a good meal , the value was well worth it. They carry the German cuisine and ambiance off very well. We were both stationed in Germany years ago and we really enjoyed this experience. Well done!!

   We enjoyed a lovely evening at the Waldhaus at the Banff Springs Hotel. Wonderful atmosphere by a fire, spectacular mountain views. The Cheese Fondue is highly recommended.

   Chicken dish seemed to be quite expensive for the 1 chicken breast provided. Minimal veggies / sides provided for the 45$ price. Girl had the schnitzel which was delicious and a good amount for the price charged. This is our third visit to the waldhaus and we love coming here

   The food was unremarkable. There was only one type of cheese fondue, which was disappointing. No EISBEIN, and the menu was limited. The presentation and service were very good.

   Over the past 2 years the once epic menu at this restaurant has been paired back to a placemat type menu. Serving staff go through the motions but show little to now actual engagement with customers. Would recommend you seek an alternative dining experience if at the Banff Springs unless you want a so-so dining experience with dialed up prices.

   Overall it was a pleasant experience, food was good, service was excellent. We were in The Waldhaus for lunch, in pub area, it was noisy but bearable. This place is not good for people with mobility issues. There is no parking right by the restaurant. You have to walk up the slope, and then up the stairs. 36 stairs up. Or if you get to the place from another side, you will have to go to the pub 10 stairs down. For disabled people this may be an issue. We were allowed to drive right to the entrance of the restaurant (in other circumstances this road is not for public, but for service cars); to our surprise the restaurant was closed till 6 pm, so we were offered to go to the pub area for our lunch. So my 87 yo old mom had to walk down 10 steps down (not complaining, just want others to know what to expect). Then I had to drive my car back to the parking lot, and luckily I found a spot to park and it was free of charge. Then I had to walk back to the pub. In the pub area there is an open space terrace, lovely place with a nice view, and it was full by the time we were ready to return home. There were also tables inside the building available. Seems like everybody was enjoying their time and food. And the view from the windows was awesome. Service was no complaints at all. Food was ok, we've lived in Germany for decades in the past, so we can compare, no complaints. Black forest cake was very nice. Although my mom has mobility issues, we were able to handle 10 stairs, and overall she was happy, which is the most important thing for me. Prices: you can check their menu online, they have prices there.
