  • "Been here many times and have always had a great experience!"

  • "we go to this resturante at least every other week because its within walking distance of our home and we love that on top of the great food and excellent service."

  • "This is a new restaurant so the waitstaff all seem to be new at it. A detailed training regimen would help improve service (like knowing to bring a towel with an wine bucket to wipe the bottle before pouring and not saying "are you done" and "no problem" to diners."

  • "Perfect spot to meet a friend for lunch or meet friends. It's cool inside and lovely outside when the weather's not hot. The menu is fresh, delicious and vegetarian friendly. If you like wine with your meal - bring it with you. The staff is very warm and helpful."

  • "I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The place is small but tables are set up so you don't feel crowded. Feels intimate like you are visiting a friend's house. The waiter was very helpful and never rushed us. The food was delicious, very flavorful. The scallops on kabocha was the best. So was the hamburger. The flatbread with the duck and hoisin sauce was good but too much sauce for me. Overall, definitely will go back."

  • "Although it is a very small restaurant, the food and service was great! The atmosphere is perfect for a nice casual dinner. Lots of parking available."

  • "Interesting menu. I had the ahi salad. Greens were wonderful, ahi was old."

  • "The salad selections are creative. I enjoyed the BBQ salmon. I will try the seafood curry on the next visit. The Matson Line menu artwork is interesting."

  • "We went when they first opened, just before a show at Blaisdell. The food was very good. We thought it odd for a place to charge a corkage fee when they do not offer alcohol of their own, but the food prices are so reasonable, it's worth it. Great salads and really good appetizers, as well as delicious entrees. We sat outside, which was okay, but it's kind of close to the street. We went back with friends - so we were two couples. This time we sat inside. We were able to converse easily - we did not have to yell to be heard. Our servers remembered us, which was nice. Food was even better than the first time. Very relaxed - we were not rushed out of the place. They brought a bucket of ice to keep our wine cool."

  • "The menu was very limited. Didn't have many options for vegetarians. A bit pricey. You get three chicken wings for $13. Portions are small."

  • "The food was very good. The W Flatbread pizza was super and the chicken wings were perfect. The seafood curry was a little on the spicy side but the wife liked it very much."

  • "Second trip to this restaurant that is right across the concert hall and arena. Am glad that someone took the chance of replacing the previous restaurant that was there previously. Nice to find a place away from the glitz of Waikiki, has free parking, minimal BYOB corkage fee, and, good food. Our guests from Japan had the W Bistro Burger. From the looks on their faces and clean plates... great dish. GF had the pasta dish. It was OK. She hates onions (she picked it out of the dish) and mentioned there was too much olive oil in the dish. Other freind and I had the Mahi entree; it was cooked just right and the sauce was very good. Loved that combo. Will definitely be back."

  • "Our server, Sky was AWESOME! He was very conscientious and attentive to our table. He explained the dishes well and made great recommendations. The table was kept very tidy as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Many thanks to the chef! We had steak, seafood curry, and the fish entree. they were all delicious! At the end it was raining very hard and Sky took the time to grab an umbrella from a table for my mother as she walked to the curb to get into the car. Now that's service! Thank you for a great night!"

  • "We enjoyed this new neighborhood gem very much. It's very conveniently located to the Neil Blaisdell Center and the Museum of Art, with easy parking in the back lot or on Victoria Street. We found the menu covered enough ground to please all four of us -- my husband had a great steak, I enjoyed the delicious mahi mahi, and our two friends had vegetable pasta. The flatbreads were delicious, too. BYOB, and enjoy!"

  • "To cater to the blaisdell crowd. I was impressed that service tried to match up to show times and they worked hard to serve quickly to those that needed to get out quickly. I think it would help if they opened up earlier, say 4:30 instead of 5. Prices were on the high side but ingredients were interesting. The duck flatbread was excellent, as was the watermelon salad. The burger was great except for the pickled onions. They were overwhelmingly tart and overpowering. I had to remove them. Still it was a nice experience, though the restaurant space was small and cramped."

  • "The W stands for WOW! We had a very enjoyable dinner before going to see the Lion King. Service was great, as was the food. Thanks for working so hard!"

  • "The blackened maui maui was perfect. Every item on the plate was uniquely delicious -- the vegetables, mashed potatoes, maui maui were perfectly seasoned. Portions are moderate. It was so good you just wanted to order another. Instead we had a wonderful piece of tiramisu."

  • "We decided to try this new little eatery on Valentine's Day. Because of the weather, I was a little concerned when I was told that we were to be seated at an outdoor table. Turned out the indoor tables were packed a bit close together, so I preferred the outdoor table. The menu offered a nice selection. I loved the beet and pear salad, but the bread pudding stole the show! Our wait staff (Sky) and hostess (Juanita) completed our lovely evening."

  • "We ate here because we were going to Lion King at Blaisdell , and it was close , within walking distance Food was very good. We were a group of 5, had 4 different dishes and no one was unhappy with what they got. The hamburger was delicious but very highly priced. Other than that the dishes were of good size, good quality and good price for what you got. Interesting salads and pupus. I would recommend Bistro W for any dinner, but especially for events at Blaisdell ."
